Lovely, quiet spot to watch the sunset.

We had about 30 minutes to spare prior to our dinner reservations, so I jumped on Yelp to see if there would be a good spot to watch the sunset. Thanks Yelpers for showing us this cute, small, neighborhood park which was a great, quiet place to enjoy nature!

This place is a little gem in a neighborhood. Perfect for watching the sun set with a view of a mountain range. Pet friendly too :)

I love how hidden and private this park is. Most of the time I go there, I'm the only one. Great place to overlook Ballard and the Olympics.

Bit small. Overrated. Average view. No tables to sit down with books. Wanted to see a better view in Seattle.

Ask the Community - Fremont Peak Park

Any dog areas where they can be off leash , or areas where dogs are not allowed?

Hi, thanks for your question. City of Seattle law states that dogs must be on a leash at all times, unless at an official off-leash dog park (You can find the off-leash areas here: https://www.seattle.gov/parks/find/dog-off-leash-areas)…

It's an amazing story about how the community found the spot, organized, rallied, and built a park in their own neighborhood.

A couple things to consider as you are planning your trip to Kerry Park: 1) the park is located on a extremely steep hill (you can definitely walk to it, but you'll likely be exhausted walking all the way up to the top from lower Queen Anne), 2) if you are driving it may take some time to find parking as the park is tucked away in a neighborhood, and 3) Mount rainier is viewable from the park on a clear day, you'll want to stop by on a sunny and clear day if possible (the view is still beautiful if the weather is overcast, but it's even better if it's sunny and clear). When you arrive to Kerry Park you'll be greeted with a postcard perfect view of Seattle/the puget sound, and a relaxing atmosphere. It can get busy but spots will naturally open up where you can take photos. I'd recommend going close to sunset if you can time it. Btw, if you are a Grey's anatomy fan some of the house filmed at are tucked away in the Queen Anne neighborhood.
