Our timid little puppy had her first vet visit with Fremont veterinary clinic today. The clinic is clean and quiet. The vet assistant, Jake, was kind and patient with Zadie while weighing and taking her temperature. Dr. Siahpush is wonderful! She put our trembling puppy at ease with her voice, manner and a few treats. She is a great educator too--I had a LOT of questions today. This clinic took very good care of our cats for 15+ years and it looks very promising there for our new doggie. Veterinary medicine can be a difficult profession so we feel lucky to have a doctor who loves her work and is great with small animals. read more

3.5 years after our first visit, I would still give Fremont Vetrinary Clinic a 5 star review. Last Friday, one of our 2 cats (Checkers) was drooling and throwing up. Fremont Vetrinary Clinic was able to get us a same-day emergency appointment. I can't remember the exact appointment price, but I believe it was right around $200, which felt very reasonable to me. When we arrived, the front desk staff were kind and attentive. The waiting room was calm and spacious. The vet we saw (Dr. Moore) was incredibly kind, calm and thorough. She examined our cat, and didn't find anything obviously wrong with him, so she proposed an x-ray. She also proposed subcutaneous fluids, anti-nausea meds, and a possible diet change. Our total bill was a bit above $600. By Saturday morning, Checkers was back to himself. On Monday morning, a different vet (Dr. Ross) called to check in. He gave me plenty of time to ask questions. We're huge fans of this veterinary clinic, and are grateful to have found them. read more

We love Dr Cassioli at Fremont Veterinary Clinic. She is so compassionate and patient, it's always a pleasure bringing our little pug Isabelle in for checkups. They've been very attentive to our needs and we appreciate that. I know Covid has been tough for a lot of businesses, but Fremont's no-contact vet visits have been really convenient. They've gone the extra mile to maintain safe, social distance and continue to serve their patients. We experienced a bit of a hiccup in communication recently, and the support staff went out of their way to make up for their lapse in communication. I have used Dr Roberts at Fremont. She was compassionate and thorough, but she did not work full-time. I did have a horrible experience when one of my dogs needed to be euthanized and Dr. Roberts wasn't in the office. It started in the parking lot - I had to twist their arm to get them to bring out the stretcher. My dog could NOT walk and she was a big girl. Dr. Cassioli was there and she sent in an intern to try inserting an IV into my dog's front leg - euthanasia does not require an IV. Brian, the assistant, held my dog down so hard with his tremendous body that she urinated and went into a coughing spasm. The intern who tried inserting an IV was taken away and someone finally euthanized her properly, but it was a horrible end to a long-time friend and it did not need to happen. I'll never forget this awful experience. If you ever need euthanization, steer clear of Dr. Cassioli and Brian. I'd give Dr. Roberts 5 stars and the others a negative one. read more

I went from possibly losing my dog, to being abandoned by his primary veterinarian in his greatest time of need, to finding him an amazing new veterinarian and wonderful staff that have given me the first glimpse of hope that he might pull through this in 24 hours. I wasn't happy with the vet my cat's previous owner had used, and a friend asked a vet friend of hers for recommendations in NE. I've been very pleased with Fremont Vet. This year was the first time we needed a non-routine appointment (blood in urine) and they worked me into the vets schedule within a few days, while considering my work hours. They've had the prescription food we needed in stock so I was sent home with it, saving me the hassle of ordering it or finding it elsewhere. It's 2021, so currently they are just having me drop my cat off and not go in the clinic, and when you call you go to voicemail, but the clinic staff has always gotten back to me promptly and been very helpful, which I know is not easy when constantly playing phone tag! When I first brought my puppy in they even took her around the office to say hi to all the staff while I filled out paperwork. She came back with her tail wagging. I've had a lot of trouble finding a good vet in this town. Most folks aren't taking new patients; like before I went here I called a dozen places near me and no one would see a new patient. Almost all the other vets I've seen were difficult to work with, like unwilling to email or work with online prescriptions. Some have been downright terrible like recommending useless and expensive services and even putting them on my bill after I've declined or unwilling to take my pet for a few hours after a procedure, cutting into my schedule and making me feel like we're just not valued to them. I really had almost given up and just felt like people didn't care anymore in Portland. That was until I went to Fremont. They were able to see my elderly cat immediately and even though they are really packed they've always been able to accommodate. I'm honestly almost in tears with relief that I know that someone else actually seems to give a crap. Their doctors have always treated me and my pet with the utmost care and respect. They truly take the time to explain everything thoroughly and spend as much time needed to make sure issues are fully covered. With as old as my cat is, she obviously has special needs and they really do all they can to show the love that she needs. They seem to have weathered COVID well and have taken full measures to make sure folks and animals are as safe as possible. They even have separate doors for cats and dogs and stagger entries so there are no unwelcome meetings. I cannot express my relief to know my furry little jerk is in good hands nor can I express my thankfulness for their clinic and the staff. I am truly, truly thankful I found them and I hope to be with them for at as long as my cat's nine lives last. read more

Over that past ten years, I have had two dogs consistently receive care from Fremont Vet, most frequently from Dr. Roberts .. and this review is ten years over due ... We no longer live in Portland but we made the two hour drive to get a second opinion from Dr. Roberts regarding a potentially scary mass on my beloved 13 year old baby girl. The level of care we received was extraordinary, from a timely and informed office visit to extremely detailed follow up phone calls and emails above and beyond anything I'd ever witnessed with a physician of any sort. And when I say "detailed," I mean DETAILED! We were not given strictly run of the mill, cookie cutter standard prognosis' but as well, ideas for alternative treatments that work best for me and my dog. AND Dr. Roberts delivers her advise and findings with genuine compassion, respect and concern while still remaining concise and credibly knowledgeable. I could go on and on but let's just say that the bar has been raised and I know one doctor who is obviously in the right field. read more
