Place was a fun-quick stop. Workers weren't very enthusiastic to help us with our orders when I shared it was our first time. It felt more like a tourist stop, museum exhibition versus a coffee shop--would've loved to see more items on the menu. Still a cute exhibition of all things pirate ‍

What a great hidden gem! Much needed caffeine fix in the morning, and let's be honest, hotel coffee just does not cut it! Luckily we were close and it was lie a treasure hunt! Friendly greeting and a heart! What more could you ask for? Well, maybe that skull and cross bones design...LOL! There's a nice, cozy lounge area with a faux fireplace. But there's also a captain's quarters and homage to Lafitte. My only regret is that I didn't pick up some coffee beans. Great place to come to!

Look for the sign that leads you down the alley!

Searched for unique coffee shops while on vacation in NOLA. This place did not disappoint. One of the coolest coffee shops I've ever been to. The pirate theme was awesome, the inside of the shop was very cool, the staff was super friendly, and the coffee was excellent! Stop here if you get a chance!

Everyone here is wonderful - the coffee was extremely good - I seen the coffee sign - thanks for sharing

We tried this spot out while on vacation because it had good ratings and were not disappointed at all. The coffee was really good, the barista was super nice and friendly, the decorations were fun and they even had a little store. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

It's so cool! If you like pirates, you have to stop here for a coffee. The decor and ambiance is so well done. Their drinks are very inventive and creative. You can even buy pirate merchandise. We had a fun time here on our last day.

The Baseline: For a coffee shop the baseline involves the quality of the roast, the taste of the coffee, and the preparation of specialty drinks/food items. Food: The Latte and Iced Coffee had a good taste and the roast smelled good. Preparation of the drinks was pretty standard without any extra bells and whistles and I wanted the extra "swords and doubloons" for coming to this themed coffee shop. Service: Service was efficient and quick. No complaints but nothing sure extra. Ambiance: This place advertises Coffee and Pirates and the cafe is definitely themed for Pirates and Coffee. Merchandise is pirates, pirate bedroom, pirate themed decor, pirate etc. ... pirates... I know I am here for pirates. If you want to think of pirates while having coffee come to this coffee cafe. If you are into ninjas rather than pirates then this is not a place you will get ninjas, just pirates. Pirates verses Ninjas... Pirates win here.

I was pleasantly surprised at how cool Pirate King coffee was. I wasn't sure what to expect but when we got there the theme of the entire coffee shop hit the ball out of the park. You actually feel like you're in a pirate ship complete with the Captain's quarters in the back. Such a cool concept and even better coffee. I got one of the specialty coffee is called the Pirates Grog. It was actually delicious. All of the staff was also super nice and accommodating. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Delicious coffee and a fun setting! Very creative way to keep the history of NOLA's pirate scene alive today. Not the most friendly service but not all pirates are nice lol

His and hers hot and iced lattes. The personal pirate touch is epic.

Have you ever had a skull in your latte foam?!?!?! I think not. I am here to tell you, it is the little touches like this that make this place a MUST. While in New Orleans, each day, we made it a plan to try a new coffee spot. After the entire time there, we both agreed this was--by far--our favorite of all. The coffee alone, gets the 5 star experience. The staff, the ambiance, the location, and even the cute little store next to it, would make it 6 stars. They have custom designed in-house pirate flavors to add to your coffee--and they truly are tasty and not overly sweet. I wish we would have tried this place at the beginning of our trip, because now when we go, this would be the only place I would consider. I am confident in saying you will not find a better coffee place than this, while in NOLA.

Delicious Chai! I love the spiciness and my husband enjoyed his iced mocha! Thank you for the great little mid day pick me up!

Was waiting for a Mardi Gras parade and craving a chai latte. Stumbled on this amazing coffee shop and the pirate ship vibe ambience is unreal. Chai was one of the best I've ever had. Veteran owned too. Do yourself a favor, go here intentionally. I'll be back for sure

Simply unique. The very alley where this one-of -a-kind coffee shop quietly exists is a reminiscent of some Caribbean island nation. Cuba? Or some French territory nation (well, it's located in none other than French Quarter so there is no wonder after all!!) Whatever the image this place emits (based on your interpretation), you'll be welcomed by friendly and welcome staff who explain what "chicory" is all about. I've had a chicory infused coffee in my home state (CO). The nutty taste truly makes the whole coffee experience so next level. To have such a nice indulgence in the state where it boasts it, I certainly was taken to the next level as well. I got me the Chicory Coffee in Cafe Au Lait style. My daughter got an Iced Shaken Cappuccino with Banana, Vanilla and Dark Chocolate. Both of them were absolutely delightful. The coffee menu selection is a good size; there are some bakery items if you want a little bite to eat along with your beverage. The merchandise they sell here on the other side of it is all pirate themed. If you are a fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise then this definitely is a must stop place for sure. I noticed in the coffee sleeve that this is a veteran owned business. This also resorts with you then go here. Nice relaxing breeze that runs through the quiet alley truly relaxes your mind and soul. It made our late morning coffee time so exceptional.

Solid coffee, they fancy themselves a museum more than a coffee shop but it appears to be a vanity project more than a true museum.

Congested with wandering tourists, most of the vendors sell items that could be found at any flea market in the country. A lot of the souvenirs and clothing fell way short in reflecting authentic New Orleans craftsmanship.
