Peach Cobbler is to die for! Customer service rivals Chick Fil A. The gumbo is some of the best you can find.

Best food, best customer service. I highly recommend French Quarter! The food is cooked fresh and they do not use frozen chicken.

To begin with, the experience starts before you can get both feet in the door. Being new, Alexis greeted us as if we were new found cousins. Quaint, yet classy, with decor that reflects the warmth of the establishment as a whole. Very clean. Pimp had the Pork Chop dinner with cabbage and collard greens. I had the Catfish with greens and yams. All I can say is ...... who big maw back there putting the foots in them greens??? Everything was impeccable. The wait was ..... wellllll. It was well worth it. What amazed me more than the food was how nearly everyone who walked through that door was GREETED BY NAME. 30 minute drive from my home. We will be back.

They even Have games to play. We decided to start with catfish nuggets while we played Uno. They were perfection. The seasoning was just right and they were not greasy or heavy at all. Next, we ordered the shrimp po boy , sampler with yams, collards, Mac, mashed potatoes and gravy and cornbread. Amazing. The collards are the best I've had and yams had the perfect spices. We splurged on bean pie for dessert. Do not pass this up. It's unexpected and creamy. We will put this spot on heavy rotation.

The food has not been as good as the years prior. I was invited to lunch and I was quickly reminded…read morewhy I stopped going here. The bar was filled with people waiting for to go orders that took almost an hour to fulfill. The people dining in were waiting for 30+minutes, including myself, as a table of two. When people were questioning and complaining (not us), they were reassured the food was in progress and they did not know the hold up. Lack of ownership throughout the entire dining experience. They did not serve me sweet potato muffins, for what is now my fourth visit in a row. They ultimately took it off the check-- obviously. But for the fourth time now, I have not received these so called muffins I'm unsure even exist. XD. the ambiance was chill and I love the set up, there is just no room for overflow. So, people quickly start to pile up, even next to the tables people are actively dining at. I will likely not join the next outing I am invited to here. Good luck, Cornbread.

Craving soul food after a funeral and thought of past food from Mookey's. Rib tip dinner was pricey…read moreat $25 for what was provided. Originally I had 6 pieces of meat in the meal but I thankfully checked my bag as directed to on the signs. I inquired and the container was filled with what I should have gotten as a dinner. Maybe the staff member was new that initial did my order. They were polite. More than 1/2 was tough, some even so much not edible. Disappointing because I really wanted some rib tips. The cornbread was dry and crumbly. Cornbread is not difficult or long cooking so I'm not sure why I'd get old cornbread midday on a Saturday. Or they need to retool the recipe. In my head, I would think that portions would be sampled by the cook to ensure consistency, but I've never worked in a fast past restaurant so I don't know the process. Sides: dressing was good and not overly salty. Yams had too much sugar for me. I bought another meal for someone to eat and I hope it was better. A 1/2 chicken meal was $20. Overall, not with the $25+ tax I paid today. The staff was pleasant. The area was kept clean. However, the meat was a failure. I would be fine paying $25 of the meat was cooked correctly. I would not recommend going here for bbq as they have a not cash return policy. It is store credit or a gift card even if the food is poorly made. Likely need to go to a bbq specific restaurant next time. I have no plans on driving way back to the restaurant and just count it as a loss. The prices are equivalent to sit down restaurants without the service or quality.

Our waitress was attentive and super accommodating -- even handled a special dietary request for a hamburger with no issue. Most of us stuck with the classic chicken and waffles, and I originally ordered the red velvet pancakes... but a mix-up brought me the Belgian waffle and chicken instead -- and honestly? It was perfect. No complaints here! The waffle was light and airy with just the right crunch, and the fried chicken? Hot, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. That seasoning was everything. I skipped the Kool-Aid this time since I remembered it being a bit too sweet for me on my first visit, but the food more than made up for it. I also ordered mimosas -- they were just okay (a little lukewarm), but not a dealbreaker. Overall, Kuzzo's keeps getting better and better. It's the kind of place that feels like comfort food done right. Go visit -- you've got nothing to lose and a whole lot of flavor to gain.

Today was a visit to Detroit to see my daughter. We were craving some Home Cooking and found it here. Lots of small mom and pops around but we chose this one because they had a review already and were open. Menu looks very good. I got the smothered Pork chops , mac n cheese and collards. My son got fried catfish mac n cheese and loaded mash potatoes with cornbread. We decided to splurge and got peach cobbler and banana pudding, our total bill was $50. Seems like a lot but hey we are in Michigan ‍ and wth, Im cravin soul so its's worth it. I'm posting pictures below. I've got to tell you I mean this is some of the best stuff I have ever had. It just brought back memories for me. I devoured one of the pork chops, about a third of my macaroni and cheese and half of my collards and I was stuffed , I took a bite of the both desserts. They were very good. The peach cobbler was not served warm which is fine cause we can always take it back and heat it up and put a dollop of ice cream on it but just to let you know in case you wanna ask them to heat it up. But oh my God it's so good. I will go back there in a heartbeat! Thank you ladies for reminding me of my roots.
