I was really craving a good burger, so of course I searched Yelp and found Blazing Burgers in Ypsilanti. The restaurant is small with a few tables but I'm sure most their business comes from carry out. I ordered the Roadhouse burger and hubby ordered the Blazin' Burger. I loved the uniqueness of mine with the fried pickles, fried onions, and turkey bacon. Definitely great flavor but I felt left undone because the hamburger patties were so small. I had such a craving for a burger but was left wanting more! It's not that I could have eaten two, especially at the price, but just a little more meat would have done it. For our side we had fries and they were right alright - I suggest trying a different side like seasoned fries or sweet potato fries. The other thing that was disappointing was that they were out of shakes! Hubby rarely agrees to sweets so I was excited...only to be left undone again. Disappointing. The first time we ate at blazin burger it was pretty good. The staff seemed nice. The food was enjoyable. On our second visit we were excited to try it again. We ordered and ate in the restaurant expecting to get hot, fresh food. The staff seemed aloof, not friendly. The fries and onion rings were cold and dry. Like they had been sitting for ten minutes before they served them. Our 2 burgers were the same, simple and mediocre. The patty melt was a burger patty on white toast. Not Rye, not grilled, not good. When this was brought to their attention the staff were cold and detached. I was told. "All the food was made to order" like there was nothing they could do about it. Obviously, I was expecting too much of this establishment. This was a regrettable experience. Over priced and over rated. This place is hit or miss. Don't bother. Go somewhere else. read more

Giving 5 stars because they managed to completely satisfy a family of five with very different likes and dislikes. Our dinner included burgers for most, (one with nothing but cheese), a hot dog, macaroni shells and cheese, seasoned fries, regular fries, homemade lemonade and soft drinks. This place is set up like a fast food restaurant with a walk-up order counter and grab your own drink and seat, but the food is worthy of more. Since burgerz is in the name, let's start there. I wasn't brave enough to try the Blazin' Burger with its spicy pepper jack and jalapenos. But, I'm a girl from the South that loves her some onion rings and fried dill pickles, so I opted for the Roadhouse Burger which featured both along with cheddar, bacon and a slightly sweet BBQ sauce and the regular trimmings of lettuce and tomato. It was great, full of flavor, moist, perfectly cooked and seasoned and stacked so high with its goodies that I almost couldn't get my mouth around it! The fries, both regular and seasoned were hot, crisp, very tasty and surprisingly light despite their slightly thicker cut than your standard burger joint fry. The Plain Jane hotdog was also a hit with one of our young eaters. She added "that yellow stuff" (mustard) and wanted us to order her a second when she was done. Staff was very friendly and helpful and quickly accommodated us with extra mayo, "that yellow stuff" and lots of extra napkins! Our food arrived really fast. I also ordered a burger to go for the guy left behind at the house and it traveled well and was just as tasty at home as in the restaurant. Excellent new find in an area of town not everyone gets around to. Locals should make the effort. Easy on and off I94 too. Travellers looking for a quick bite should stop by. There's no drive-thru, but you can call ahead and your order will be waiting. read more

I have been passing this place for years now. Decided to try it yesterday and was not disappointed. I had a regular cheeseburger with all the normal toppings and it was the best burger I've ever had In my life. The only exception to that would be a homemade burger cooked outside on a charcoal grill. Everything on the burger was super fresh and perfectly balanced. I also ordered some sweet potato fries with it that came with a side of chipotle mayo to dip them in. They were over-the-top delicious. The service was excellent too! I will definitely be back. Quick service, large portion of fries. Cons: burger patty didn't have much flavor and was cooked "well done". Fries seemed like they had been sitting for a bit. I've been looking for a good burger since Great Plains Burger Co and Elevation Burger folded in Ann Arbor. I finally found my new burger joint! First, the menu... Choose one of their 9 signature burgers or customize your burger- choose beef, chicken breast, portobello mushroom, falafel, or veggie patty- something for everyone. There are lots of cheese options (yes, nacho cheese!) Lots of toppings too, even mac and cheese. There are several bun options as well. There are hot dogs and wings on the menu. One thing I want to try is a burger as a salad. I have no idea what to expect and I plan to write about it in my next Yelp review, so stay tuned. Other info: The online order was simple to use. The location is easy to get to from Ellsworth. The restaurant is on the smaller side with lots of open space. It was very clean. The worker was very friendly. I see complaints about the burger being too salty, but it was properly seasoned to me. I had a very good experience and my food was very tasty. This place is fantastic. I ordered delivery on a whim and loved my burger so much that I had to introduce my husband to this restaurant. The ingredients are fresh and high quality. We dined in and loved every bite of our shroom burger and Blazin burger. We also really enjoyed our fries with Blazin dipping sauce. I appreciated how clean the restaurant was too. I would put more pepper and a tad bit of salt on it the next time, but that's because I like a lot of pepper. Fries were amazing. Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Sweet potato fries were equally yummy. Fountain drink was super cold and fizzy which is perfection to me. I can't say enough about the attention to customer service and cleanliness. I presume it was the owner. He noticed a small crumb on our table and came to clean it. Full disclosure it came from purse. It didn't matter because he wanted our experience to be 100%.
