I brought my mom in this morning to get her eyebrows done. She loves getting her brows down with Betty because she speaks Spanish. This is my go to place to get my nails done. I wouldn't say the staff is super friendly but they aren't mean either. They are just kind of indifferent. We'll everyone but Betty she's pretty friendly. People have their favorite nail techs so if you have a preference I would probably call ahead. I usually just go with whoever is available. They do a great job on my nails. Next time I get them done I'll share a photo. The prices are comparable to other nearby places. read more

This is such a beautiful nail salon! Great location. Lots and lots of color selections for every type of nail color. (gel, dip, regular polish) Very clean!! However - my only complaint would of been customer service....when calling - very rude over the phone. Even when you walk in there's no greeting....no smile...and when paying no "thank you" "see you again"....nothin!!! My nail tech was very very sweet (older woman) didn't get her name. I'd for for sure come see her. She did an incredible job on my dip manicure. Took about 40 minutes and was very detailed. Tried it here, location is great but they take forever and it's because the nail techs are on their phones every chance they get or walking around the place while you sit there waiting for nothing. It's very rude and not mindful of clients time. A manicure shouldn't take 2 hours, 45 mins at best. read more

I booked a reservation for 2 people at the same time. We were seated on opposite sides of the salon which was inconvenient. The person that did my nails went really fast and the quality was very low. My nails were not smooth (had the dip) and one completely broke off the next day. Since switching to a new place, I've had no problems. I will not be back. read more

AMAZING JOB took around 35 mins, costed $65, and she did so so good! I don't know her name but they all do pretty good.

I called ahead and was able to book same day about an hour out, which was appreciated. The salon is very clean and the stations had the plexiglass divider. Danny did my Gel manicure and he did a very nice job, the appointment only took about 30 minutes. The reason I don't give this 5 stars is because it seems that they reuse files and buffer blocks for appointments. As a note, I am pretty sure they only accept cash tips. read more

I visited French Tip with my mom today to get pedicures. It was Saturday afternoon. There were several people receiving services but we were able to be seated right away. A gentleman helped me and a lady helped my mom. We were VERY pleased with our experience! The technicians took their time and did a wonderful job. We got the middle package which included a wonderful, 10 minute leg massage. It was reasonably priced, especially for being in Johnson County! I was pleased with the cleanliness of the area and everyone seemed to have great attitudes. I got a design and found it very classy with a taste of sass! Worst customer service I have received at a nail salon. To start, the technician nipped my toe in two spots and made it bleed. He then wiped away the blood and poured rubbing alcohol on the cuts. I also received a manicure. I asked for my nail shape to be narrow with a nail file. He did what I asked on one hand, and then butchered the other with nail clippers to the sides of my nail. What really made me angry was asking for clear SNS to harden my nails with gel on top. I asked twice and he disregarded my request both times. He only painted my nails with gel. My nails are so thin that they are already breaking. I left with the worst manicure I've ever had. It is now the day after and I just got back from telling the manager what happened. He said gel is great and I will be fine. I am very disappointed coming to this location from out of town, and will never accompany my mom and sister again. read more

This was my 1st time here cause I was in the neighborhood and to save time I decided to go here instead of my usual nail salon. The end product was good but customer service was terrible. I hate when nail salons try to upsell you after you've said no a few times. My nail tech kept trying to upgrade my pedicure. Then basically forced me into dipping powder manicure instead of gel (never again!!)... I asked him if it takes the same amount of time and that I was in a rush to leave by a certain time. He assured me I'd leave way before then and in the end I actually ended up leaving 5 min later. He was very agitated that he wasn't able to get me out in time and clearly so was I... but he kept telling me to calm down, stop rushing him. I think he told me to calm down 10 times in 10 minutes. I normally give people/businesses the benefit of the doubt, but it is hard to with this place. I had a 4:30 appointment for 4 people. They took back the other 3 girls and 45 minutes went by and they took 2 other people and I still had not been taken to get my nails done. They then offered to soak my dip off but said it would take 15 minutes and someone still wouldn't be ready to do my nails within the hour. The (seemed to be) manager (or leas tech) completely ignored every request/comment my party or I made about my reservation. I moved here about a year ago and have been going to French Tips almost every three weeks for a gel manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax. The Deluxe Pedicures are $45 and complete worth it! It's the best stress reliever! Everyone is so friendly and nice. It's always very clean and their business hours are more accommodating than most nail salons. They have so many colors to choose from for gel or regular manicures and they do designs too if you ask. They are usually really great about being able to get walk-in customers service right away too. Highly recommend them! read more

Horrible customer service. Do not value customers at all. Got my nails done (dip set with design) and it cost $60 + tip. Well, after only a week, the set completely crumbled. Every nail, but 1, had a crack, break, or the edges destroyed. So I came back in to get the set fixed, as you do when your set doesn't last. I asked the two women as I walked in and explained the situation, that I only had my set done less than two weeks ago and it was falling apart. They said they couldn't fix the set because of the damage, but could give me a new set. I asked if that was ok for them to do, assuming the set would be compensated, and they assured me it was alright. After getting my new set and tipping my technician for his work, I left. They came out after me and said "you didn't pay." I was confused, and asked why would I pay? He had me come in and talk to the manager. She said I needed to pay because it was a new set. I asked "why would I have to pay for a second set, less than two weeks apart, when I had to come in because my set didn't last and crumbled." She said "did you get a new color?" I stated that I did because I was told the only way to fix my nails was to do a new set, and since I had a design, I made it simple and just got a solid color, and that this was what I was told to do by the ladies when I walked in. The manager state that even though I had to come back and get an entire new set because THEY did not do a good enough job on my last set, I still had to pay for their mistakes. Very, VERY frustrating and NOT right. Paid $60+ one week and $40+ a week and a half later. Terrible costumer service. Usually the nail service isn't bad, but they only care about making money. read more

I went in for a simple gel color, and part of my thumb got cut off with nail clippers. It hurt SO bad and when i flinched the lady told me that it was my fault because my nails were too short to cut. She asked if i wanted them shorter and i told her yes because some of my fingers had longer nails still. I used to have acrylics so my thumb acrylic got ripped (that's why it was short) I assumed that she would not cut if there was no nail to cut. Its been 24 hours and my thumb hurts so bad. I will include a picture so you can see that a good chunk of my thumb was cut open with a nail clipper. They got me out of there so fast, but still aggressively asked for a tip. they only accept in cash which i did not have and tried to get me to use the atm that charges $3 for cash. I gave what cash I could dig out, but wish i did not even give that because once the blood cleared from my thumb, i was shocked at just how much was sliced open. It is a bad enough injury that i have to clean and bandage it throughout the day. Everything hurts when it comes in contact. Im upset I paid $30 to have to heal my thumb from carelessness. Furthermore, was the worst application of gel I've received ever. She had to redo it twice. I will NEVER return, and I urge people to stay away if you want to keep all parts of your fingers. read more

Have been here two times. First time was great - got a pedicure and gel manicure, both the work and the manicurists were super nice. Today was my second visit and the manicurist, Nam, was really abrupt and in a rush. He wasn't rude, but did not talk, rushed through a basic manicure with no massage or frills and the end result is a lumpy, inconsistent gel manicure with uneven edges between the nail and skin. Wanted to love this place, but feeling bummed out. Manicures are a treat - a time to feel pampered and relaxed - and I didn't feel the love at French Tip today. read more
