I came here for brunch/lunch with a group of six and we had such a great experience. First, Griffin took amazing care of us. He started by recommending drinks, and I ordered the horchata which it was absolutely delicious. The manager also came to our table and gave us some great food recommendations. The service by Griffin and Ruben were both 10/10. You can really tell the staff enjoys being there because everyone was so welcoming and so nice. Now, let's talk about the food: LOVED IT! Everything was so fresh and amazing. We tried the Achiote Citrus Chicken (which by the way is super popular there), Flautas, Chimichurri Skirt Steak, salad, Street Corn, Grilled Beets, and Nachos. And for dessert churros split which is a mix of churros with ice cream, so good! The atmosphere is gorgeous, their decor is no nice. A friend took me here and zero disappointment. I was shocked they weren't busier on. Sunday afternoon. Ample parking and easy access to the entrance. The restaurant looks brand new despite being here a few years. The decor was bright and colorful making the sunny day outside even better. We were seated inside as the outside patio does not have shade, so sad. But the view from the table was amazing. I can imagine an evening sunset seating. Had to try the Black and White as it was a mix of espresso and their homemade (vegan) horchata. That drink was amazing...if you're on the fence, just try it. We started with the flautas, crispy and great seasoning on the meat. I went with the ACHIOTE & CITRUS CHICKEN, quarter size, dark meat and it was great. The nice part about the wood fire section is you can choose how much and it makes it easy to share. The accompaniments, charro beans, rice, and grilled onions were all cooked and seasoned well. We also tried the churro split which was a lot...yet tasty. Definitely will be back or try one of their other locations. The restrooms are unisex and they are fabulous! Fresa's at Westlake & 360 is a new location, third in Austin, featuring robust Mexican flavors. The "to go"restaurant is a walk up window, Outdoor seating is available. Happy hour specials in the restaurant are available, with discounts on margaritas, beer, wine, and mocktails. The "to go" window is open from 8am-10 pm. Please note traffic on Capitol of Texas Highway is crazy due to construction. Fresca's is known for its charcoal-grilled meats. These meats are available in their tacos, bowls, and salads. Signature dishes include Yucatán spice chicken, crispy empanadas, Adobe shrimp tacos, and brisket tacos. To drink Fresca's has fresh aguas frescas, teas, and a full bar with cocktails, beer, and wine. Today, I had the Lorenzo taco (egg whites, baby kale, black beans, avocado, cheddar, serrano on a corn tortilla). I had to admit that I was intrigued by this combination of taco. It did not disappoint! If you can have a healthy taco, this is the closest to it. I got my taco to go as I was heading to San Antonio, TX. Rueben, my cashier, was pleasant and personable. Fresa's had me the moment I stepped onto that patio -- the view was out here giving golden-hour serenity, sunset poetry, and "you deserve a soft moment today." Truly beautiful. I ordered the Achiote & Citrus Chicken Plate. The chicken was tender and well done. The rice was good, the beans were okay, and the salsas told a whole story: the Avocado Verde was a little too tangy for me, but that Spicy Jalapeño salsa? Honey... that one came ready to clock in and do its job. Flavorful, bold, the star of the meal. The classic margarita was just alright -- I wasn't catching any orange liqueur notes, so either it whispered or it wasn't there at all. Service was excellent -- my server was polite, attentive, and genuinely kind. Pricing was fair, which is always a blessing. And let me shout out the bathroom -- beautiful, spotless, and giving upscale Buc-ee's energy in the best way. You don't expect to walk in and say "Oh wow," but I sure did. Would I go back? Maybe. The food was good but didn't give me that big "wow" moment. But the view, the vibe, the service, and that clean bathroom? All solid reasons to give it another try. By far the worst experience. I can in last Saturday for one of the wood grilled meal. Aji Shrimp For starters, the shrimp was so chewy that no one could even chew it enough to swallow, only to spit it out. The shrimp still looked flesh-like and pink like definitely under cooked. The Barracho beans were also under cooked, hard and un-chewable Mexican Rive - bland. Took one bite and pitched everything into the trash. read more

I work close to here so we have ordered lunch a few times. We decided to try it out for an early dinner after work. There is plenty of parking. The front door is beautiful. :) When you walk in you see a bright open space with plenty of light. There are a lot of tables and a decent sized bar. I wonder if it ever gets busy enough to fill them? We asked for a table with a view and it didn't disappoint. There is a patio but it's full sun and no cover. It has a beautiful view as well. I'm sure it's stunning at sunset. We got there just in time for happy hour! We had to order chips; bummer they don't just come to the table. He also asked us which salsa we wanted. They have three to choose from. It's too bad you don't get a trio of the salsas. We all got the chicken quesadilla. It was great. We will definitely be back.l! read more

Literally a horrible experience from the moment we walked in. Before coming, we checked multiple locations to ensure that they were dog-friendly for our legitimate service animal even saying they would provide water bowls to even non service animals. We even called ahead and emailed to confirm out of courtesy. Despite that, the hostess who looked no older than 16 immediately began questioning my service animal. Moments later, another employee came over and asked the exact same questions again and we offered to even grab our service papers from the car. As someone with a very private medical condition, this put me in an incredibly uncomfortable position. Businesses are allowed to ask only the limited questions permitted under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and repeatedly questioning a guest after the issue has already been addressed is inappropriate and embarrassing. We decided to move past it and enjoy dinner with our family friends after a six-hour drive in town. The food was actually very good, and we were having a great time. We were all completely sober, enjoying our first margaritas, when our waiter, John, unexpectedly told us we needed to start drinking water and finish our meals before ordering another drink. The strange part was that almost all of us hadnt even finished our first drink yet, and no one had shown any signs of intoxication. It was completely out of the blue and honestly bizarre. Our waiter was named John and we spoke with the manager, Mariana, she initially shifted the blame to John. John then told us it was Mariana who had instructed him to make the comment. The whole interaction felt unprofessional and poorly managed. John also rudely mentioned that a "20% tip was already included". It's unfortunate because the food was genuinely good, and we wanted to love this place. Management and staff training need serious improvement. The restaurant has potential, but the customer service experience completely overshadowed what could have been a great meal and experience. We will not be back due to the behavior of the staff especially John. read more

Snacking on Especial Guacamole with green apple & mint is fresh & original, a reason to keep coming back. On the heavier side, their loaded queso with black beans & chorizo is spicy and filling - delicious alongside the housemade fire-roasted salsa. I love their fajitas best (chimichurri on the skirt steak, add shrimp for surf 'n turf), although prices are steep especially post-COVID. Finishing with churros will NEVER disappoint - classic crunchy & loaded with cinnamon sugar. Super strange and uncomfortable experience at the Fresas at Westlake. They cut us off after one drink and said that "we seemed intoxicated and must have come from the lake" (which we didn't, we just met up as friends for dinner). We expressed our frustration and they still did nothing to remedy the situation, and still added the 20% group dining gratuity on top. John was our waiter and Mariana is the manager who came out and talked to us and tried to say that we could have another round of drinks after we ate and had some water, and all of our plates were cleared at that point. Met a friend for a double birthday celebratory lunch here earlier this week. Great view! I enjoyed my chicken poblano soup. It was hearty enough to bring some home. This location has been a few different restaurants over the years so hopefully this one will be able to last as it was not very busy when we went. I had the soup and my friend had a salad. We were a group of 4, no reservations, on a Sunday afternoon and were seated almost immediately. Our drinks were super tasty. This is hands down my favorite spicy margarita to date, and I'm super picky about my margaritas. It is very well balanced and has just the right amount of kick and flavor! All the food was delicious and really well seasoned. Our server Rachel was delightful, knowledgeable, and checked in with us periodically. There were vegetarian and vegan options which I appreciated. The ambiance is very open and bright and friendly to anyone with a stroller or ADA wheelchair accommodation. Parking at this time was plentiful as well. I definitely recommend! read more

I've been an inconsistent patron of the Fresa's on Lamar since it opened. The bird is fine, but it's hard to eat at work for lunch. The breakfast tacos somehow always feel small and expensive. When I saw this Westlake location open up, I was ready to give it a better shot. Especially since you can dine on site. Let's start there. The location is cool. Overlooking St. Stephen's and Lake Austin (in the distance, not on it), it's a very pretty place to eat a meal. Parking is moderately plentiful and 360 construction hasn't made it difficult to get into yet. Only a time or two have I had to walk very far. Jack Allen's does not interrupt your ability to get there or park. The bird is on par with Pollo Regio or Pollo Rico, maybe a degree or two better. I'm not saying that in a negative way other than at Fresa's you get half a bird for what you pay at Pollo Rico for far more than that. We have started enjoying their tacos instead of getting bone in pieces. Of the four tacos on the menu, the shrimp is my least favorite. The other three are equally excellent. Their use of jicama is an interesting addition. That's what Fresa's brings to the proverbial table - more veggies. The kale caesar salad is fantastic. It made me like boiled eggs ! The game changer at Fresa's are the sweet potatoes. Have you had a grilled sweet potato wedge? We learned how to do it at home because they're so good at Fresa's. All of their veggie options are good and appear to be fairly good for you. Their margaritas are magical. I like the frozen limon with a jalapeno shooter and tajin rim. The other flavors are good too (prickly pear, I'm looking at you), they're not too strong, but they go down way too easy. Let's wrap this up with what makes Fresa's a hard decision. It's as expensive as it is good. We rarely order so much that we have more than a few sweet potato chunks to take home. That's as rare as managing a sub $100 tab for two people. We could probably keep it under that, but between the excellent sides and margaritas, it doesn't seem to happen. The crowd in Westlake appears to be fickle to Fresa's, so we'll see how much longer they can hold down this location. Until then, you can catch me there a minimum of once a month overlooking the valley while I'm eating an El Santo with a frozen margarita. read more

Had a lovely experience at the new Fresa's off of 360. I actually thought it was better than the downtown location! They have a huge indoor space with a big patio overlooking the beautiful hills as well (including fans and or heaters depending on the day). Staff was very friendly and the service was great. Food itself was decently quick coming out, ordered the achiote chicken plate which was delicious and the perfect amount of food. Plus they have portion options! The sweet potato shareable was delectable, and the shrimp tacos were yummy as well. The horchata was unlike any I've had in Austin, super traditional and smooth but not too sweet - the best kind! read more

The loaded queso was SO good-highly recommend and perfect size to share with 4 people. We also ordered the Yucatán chicken, which was spicy but very flavorful. The quesadilla was basic but tasty, and the brisket hash was probably our least favorite dish. I wanted more whole brussels and brisket but it was bits and pieces of everything. Unusual spot for a Fresa's but it works. It's spacious, adorable decor/vibes, and great view (once you look past the parking lot). They def need shade for the patio. I don't know how anyone will enjoy eating there once temps warm up. We came for Saturday brunch. We made reservations 30 min prior and they had full availability. I'm remembering this location when we have a large group! Passionfruit frozen margaritas was dangerously good. I guzzled mine down in 4 sips. Tuna tartare was super flavorful (I actually prefer just some lime squeezed on) and a hefty portion. We'd pass on the braised short rib hash. It was a bit too spicy and just okay. Empanadas and flautas were great. Disappointed in the kids menu. It's just single items. I ordered the chicken taco for my daughter and it came wrapped in tin foil like it was from TacoDeli. Except it had no flavor. Literally just a small tortilla with chicken in it. I will say the straw that changes color when it's cold was a nice touch for the kids though! read more

My favorite item was the seasonal tostada - yellowfin tuna so citrusy and delicious. Their sides are big enough to share, we tried the Brussels sprouts and elote The chicken is so juicy and makes perfect tacos 1/2 a chicken is definitely enough for 2-3 people depending on how hungry you are. If you're a queso feen like me, I recommend the loaded queso over the regular queso. Service was lacking, but it was their grand opening when we were there. If you sit on the backside of the bar or to the right, bring sunglasses. It was so bright it was almost uncomfortable. Hopefully they get shades! read more

Every time I come here I get the best service. It's a nicely designed space with hill country views. Very modern. The food is so flavorful. The cookie that comes with the ice cream was made in house and so good. I had Rocky Road ice cream and the texture was so smooth. My wife, two girls and I stopped by for dinner on a Sunday, and were very pleasantly pleased to discover a GREAT Mexican food alternative close to home for us. This is not the typical Tex-Mex, and is a refreshing alternative to the typical Mexican restaurant to be found around Austin. We just want it to get good business and stay open, so you should go try it!! The food and drinks we had were all delicious, and everything is fresh! The jalapeño margarita and draft Pacifico were a great way to kick things off with some hot black bean empanadas and really great white queso (with homemade fresh chips). For mains, we had the pozole (one of the best anywhere), the Yucatán chicken (perfect spice!), and a power bol (unique, fresh, smoke flavor). Our girls loved their quesadillas off the kids menu, and fell in love with the churro dessert. The restaurant is very comfortable, clean, and there's a nice bar area for watching sports and patio with a really nice view. What's exciting too is the takeout window outside which we'll plan to use for takeout food and drinks during busy work weeks. Excellent service by Glen C! I started with the strawberry basil margarita and the hubs started with the classic margarita. Both were very fresh tasting. We shared the La gringa quesadillas and loved the sour cream and green salsa the accompanied the quesadillas. For dinner we shared the chimichurri skirt steak and the aji glazed gulf shrimp. I ate most of the shrimp because they were so tasty. The skirt steak was cooked the way it's supposed to be cooked- on the rare side. I would have liked more chimichurri sauce but was still happy with the dish. We also shared the Mexican street corn, I would have charred it a little more but since the flavor was amazing, I didn't mind. Oh, forgot to say we shared the fire roasted salsa and chips, sad that we had to pay four bucks but the freshness of the salsa was worth it and we got a free refill the hubs had the frozen prickly pear with dinner, I had several sips and loved it! Got take out from here and the online ordering and pick up process were super easy. I love that they are open so early with their full menu, since we are early lunchers. The steak and salsas were delicious, everything else was good, except the tortillas, which were average. We got a whole chicken, which was enough to feed 5 people, but the sides were small, enough for only 2-3 people. So order extra sides if you want enough for 4-5 people. Definitely adding this to our list of yummy takeout options! read more

I am mixed on this one. I really wanted to love it, but came away with"meh". The good...:not crowded, great decor, queso. Outstanding....Reilly our waitstaff and chimichurri. The bar was a let down. Asked for Mexican Martini which usually is served in a shaker and they were unfamiliar with what it was so we received a tiny pour of teq+lime juice was was terrible.
