I was gonna take a photo, but I ate the food so fast. It was a great ground beef quesadilla. The best one I've had in a long time. The service was on point and the restaurant is a touch of Mexico. Super nice people with the best Mexican food. I've had in a long time.

Pretty good, but not great. Had chorizo and egg and bacon and egg. One on flour. One on corn. Corn tortillas are homemade. Honestly, they weren't as good as the store bought flour ones. The corn were too thick and the flavor didn't make up for it. Fillings were fine. Could have used a bit more substance. About $3.50 each. All in all, pretty good.

5 taco plate lunch special. 2 bistek and 3 barbacoa upgraded with avocado.

Fantastic Food, Friendly Service - Worth the Visit! Stopped by this local Mexican spot for lunch and was seriously impressed. I had the five taco lunch plate and upgraded with avocado--worth every penny. The tacos were loaded with flavorful meat, fresh cilantro, onion, and generous slices of avocado. My friend went with the crispy taco plate, and those were also excellent--perfectly crunchy shells packed with meat, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. The 3 taco plate came with refried beans and rice, and the beans were especially tasty. The verde sauce was amazing and spicy. Loved it. The gentleman working the register was extremely helpful--he explained the menu, started us off with complimentary chips and salsa, and answered all our questions with a great attitude. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept. Only downside is the location--there's a visible homeless presence in the area, so I'd recommend locking your car and staying aware. That said, the quality of the food and service makes it well worth a visit. I'll definitely be back!

Once again, this place goes above and beyond with great quality food and generous portions. They are officially my go-to taco spot in Austin. Everyone I've introduced to this place gets hooked! And it's always warming to see the familiar faces of the people working there, all so nice, and feels like they're always there to make sure everything's great!

This is by far one of the best taco spots I've been to in Austin. The location is a bit of a hole in a wall but this place is a gem. I had migas, bistek (steak), and al pastor tacos. I also had the churros. Our food came with chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were delicious! The salsa was spicy and refreshing. The bistek tacos were by far my favorite. The al pastor tacos were also delicious. The churros were pretty bland and tasted stale or overcooked. I will definitely be back to have more delicious tacos!

Mi Trailita Y Mas sits next to a sketchy gas station and doesn't have the cleanest, most up-to-date establishment. The bathroom looks like a gross mess, and the surrounding buildings are pretty run down. However, I don't know of any other place in Austin where you can get a $7.50 torta that is loaded with beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and all the other good stuff they put in there. The torta alone was easily enough for 2 meals, and the portion sizes for the other dishes were also crazy. It's almost like inflation never hit this restaurant. The food was amazing, the quantity of food was insane, and the service was pretty good. Certainly a 5 in my book for the price.

Such a cute little taqueria! The enchiladas were good for the price and their salsas are super smoothl! The queso being $7 is a bit outrageous though.. Overall nice vibe and good place for cheap quick eats.

We've been here a few times now and we love it. The BEST restaurants are the hole in the wall places that are family owned. This one is super authentic and they are so nice when you go to pick up your order. Okay, so the best way to tell if a restaurant is good is to see the crowd that is eating inside. If the crowd that is eating inside is similar to the cuisine being served then it's safe to say that the food will be damn good. The tacos here slay . Also their corn tortillas are bomb as hell. Most corn tortillas are weak, the ones here are strong and are probably handmade. They also have ingredients like nopales which is cactus and you don't see that everywhere. Their salsas are also super fresh and spicy! If you go, try the double corn tortillas with your breakfast taco you will not be disappointed.

Picadillo taco and carnitas taco. Both awesome!

Have been to the trailer before it closed but this is the first time I have been to the brick n mortar location. Do judge the outside by what is inside. This place is awesome! This place serves some awesome food and it is definitely worth checking out. The staff is very friendly and the environment is cozy inside. Be sure to order online or just be prepared to wait a little while for your food. Nothing crazy but we had to wait for about 25 min. For food, we had the picadillo taco, carnitas taco, and the bistek plate. They were all delicious and I would totally have all of them again. The bistek plate was great size and definitely shareable with a few other items and you get tortillas to go with it. We had both corn and flour tortillas and they were both handmade and amazing, but the corn tortillas absolutely surprised us as they were super flexible and thick and did not break. We added the different sauces they provide (a red and a green) and they were absolutely bomb to go on the tacos! You also get some nice salsa and chips while you wait at the restaurant. Definitely recommend checking this place out! I will definitely be coming back

She noticed I was ordering dairy items on side and asked about if pesto in guacamole was ok. So astute and kind of her. Also on my friends second drink remembered she didn't want salt or her rim without even asking - Everything tasted so fresh and high quality - Brisket tacos: packed with flavor--maybe it was the wagyu meat or the black magic oil. Freshly made corn tortillas were awesome. Usually corn ones and pretty throwaway meh, but these added to the greatness of the tacos. 5 stars - Duck flautas: crispy covered in mild mole. Loved the mashed potato addition inside for some mellowness and texture. 5 stars - Guacamole: so fresh and that dollop of pesto on top was lovely. Served with crispy masa dippers were impressive almost a 8x11 page size. It was fun to crack off into pieces, but hard to stop eating it. 5 stars - Sweet potato: friend loved these long charred wedges. 4.5 stars - Cocktails were stellar. I got the Don Dario which was a play on a marg and delightful - $12 of a few drinks during lucky hour (Mon-Fri 5-6pm, Sat-Sun 3-5pm) - High energy vibes in a clean, open, tan colored space - Had their bottle water on the table in a champagne bottle which speaks to my heart Midlights: - In East Austin so have to Uber if you are staying more central - Tacos come in orders of 4. Wish it was less so we could've tried more variety. Lowlights - No food discounts for lucky hour - Didn't have time to try the choco taco which looked amaze - Large gap of time between items first few items coming out and the rest

I ordered the brunch cachetada and wasn't thrilled. The suiza chicken and runny eggs diluted the flavor and made the cheese crust on the tortilla soggy. I had to add a lot of hot sauce. It needed more texture and flavor. Overall a boring dish. I would definitely return and order something else, however.

So we had to try... We were lucky to arrive at the right time (9 pm!) where we got their last table!! Make reservations or something because this is another one of those places that fills up! I've only been once and it's definitely not gonna be the last time. In fact, we've got an upcoming reservation that's been on the books for quite sometime. They've managed to remain delicious, relevant and in demand 50 years! That's saying something. I'll tell you what that says...it says they rule! Reservations can be tricky to get but oh so worth it. The bar & atrium are fantastic and they boast a generous happy hour. The restaurant area and entire space are decorated wonderfully. Amazing artwork adorns the walls, they've got extensive art all about, vaulted ceilings and more. It's kind of like being in a hacienda. It feels like you're in Mexico. Truly. The restaurant and food are upscale without being pretentious. How refreshing! Speaking of refreshing...they've got cocktails and mocktails that will knock your socks off. I'm a big fan of the Nojito. My boyfriend loves the Mexican martini (it's primo). Let's talk about food. Wow-wee is it everything and then some. This is the kind of Tex-Mex flavor that sends your tastebuds into a tailspin of goodness! On our visit we did a salsa flight (we did 3 salsas), the queso (melted muenster and Oaxacan), Wagyu beef tacos, and chicken verde enchiladas. We did a spread like that in order to share everything. Food so good I'd give ten stars if I could. I can't put my finger on it but there's just something so special about the food, the taste of it, and the quality. It's just incredible flavor explosion bite after bite. If I had to guess, I'd say the food has been made with love, skill, and attention to detail all these years. Hence, their amazing reputation. Service is beyond compare. Hands down some of the best I've experienced in all of my worldly travels. Fonda San Miguel (Tzintzuntzan) is a dream come true!
