Been coming here since it all started at the Colony Park store, then they moved to Manor Rd and now have the brick & mortar location and for more than 10 years and this is one of the only places that has maintained quality food and service even after the pandemic. This most recent visit was my first time getting the breakfast burrito and I love that they put it on the grill to add texture. It was hot and fresh and tasted amazing. I've tried several things and I can confidently vouch for the gorditas and tacos. The bistec, carnitas and chicken fajita are all fire. The vibe is cool, it's a quaint lil spot in a shopping center that's currently getting a much needed facelift. The horchata is also a hit. Def worth trying. read more

This place is in a very sketchy parking lot. I pulled into the lot and was shocked. It looked like a homeless encampment. I couldn't even tell where the restaurant was. It was so run down it almost looks abandoned and has a crowd of people living outside of it. I didn't even bother going. I'm sure the food is decent tho. It's just a shame you don't even feel safe getting out of your car there. I drove 20 minutes to check it out. They need to clean up that area. I had the five taco lunch plate and upgraded with avocado--worth every penny. The tacos were loaded with flavorful meat, fresh cilantro, onion, and generous slices of avocado. My friend went with the crispy taco plate, and those were also excellent--perfectly crunchy shells packed with meat, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. The 3 taco plate came with refried beans and rice, and the beans were especially tasty. The verde sauce was amazing and spicy. Loved it. The gentleman working the register was extremely helpful--he explained the menu, started us off with complimentary chips and salsa, and answered all our questions with a great attitude. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept. Only downside is the location--there's a visible homeless presence in the area, so I'd recommend locking your car and staying aware. This is by far one of the best taco spots I've been to in Austin. The location is a bit of a hole in a wall but this place is a gem. I had migas, bistek (steak), and al pastor tacos. I also had the churros. Our food came with chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were delicious! The salsa was spicy and refreshing. The bistek tacos were by far my favorite. The al pastor tacos were also delicious. The churros were pretty bland and tasted stale or overcooked. I will definitely be back to have more delicious tacos! read more

Mi Trailita Y Mas sits next to a sketchy gas station and doesn't have the cleanest, most up-to-date establishment. The bathroom looks like a gross mess, and the surrounding buildings are pretty run down. However, I don't know of any other place in Austin where you can get a $7.50 torta that is loaded with beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and all the other good stuff they put in there. The torta alone was easily enough for 2 meals, and the portion sizes for the other dishes were also crazy. It's almost like inflation never hit this restaurant. The food was amazing, the quantity of food was insane, and the service was pretty good. Certainly a 5 in my book for the price. read more

I've had alambre, fajitas, chicken enchiladas, and an assortment of breakfast tacos (campechano and barbacoa are top shelf). They were previously a trailer down the street and have had trouble with people figuring where they are now, so if you enjoyed Mi Trailita the trailer, head on down the road and enjoy their larger menu for dinner too. For food, we had the picadillo taco, carnitas taco, and the bistek plate. They were all delicious and I would totally have all of them again. The bistek plate was great size and definitely shareable with a few other items and you get tortillas to go with it. We had both corn and flour tortillas and they were both handmade and amazing, but the corn tortillas absolutely surprised us as they were super flexible and thick and did not break. We added the different sauces they provide (a red and a green) and they were absolutely bomb to go on the tacos! You also get some nice salsa and chips while you wait at the restaurant. Really happy this crew was able to transition from a food truck to this brick and mortar location. Some of the obvious things; their tacos are phenomenal. Carnitas, Barbacoa and pastor are the usuals for us. However, since opening this location I've gotten the breakfast and fajita plates multiple times and they are filling and delicious. Really happy to have this place in the neighborhood. Side note: this isn't their problem, but the shopping center this restaurant is in, is absolutely terrible. Flavor. Came here to check out the brick and mortar, the more, of Mi Trailita for lunch on a weekday. I got the bistek plate with rice and beans. My partner got the Chile Relleno. The bistek was flavorful. Seasoned just right with the beefy bits of the steak with a little bit of unctuous fatty bits. The refried beans were just the right consistency paired with rice. As for the salsa, I am a fan of the red salsa with sone tartness from the tomatillo. The green salsa had a bit of green chile to give it a kick. I also had the horchata which was good. However, the cucumber and lime agua Fresca my partner ordered was very refreshing. Service is friendly as well. If you are in the Windsor Park - East Austin area this should be a must go. read more

So the lady get upset with me because when I place my order on the phone, it was breakfast tacos. I picked up my taco and all my tacos was wrong. I ought four tacos for me and a friend tacos was all wrong. I don't eat eggs and my friends taco was supposed to have cheese on hers. They had eggs on mine no cheese on her and I'm a regular customer so when I called her and told her that I'll be back so she can remake the tacos.
