We came the day after Christmas and they commented it was their busiest day of the year but it was worth the wait! Healthy lunch in hanalei but very small portions. Food was tasty but beware portions are very small for the price ($17 salad). My husband got the steak sandwich with ranch and I got the Kauaian with chicken- very small amount of chicken added to salad (not worth $5 to add it's so small). Came here on a Monday and not a lot of places were open so my boyfriend and I both ate here. Since not much was open it was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait too long about 10 minutes for food. It's easy to order and they call your name over the speaker when it's ready. There's a good amount of tables outside or you can eat in your car. The bowl I had was really good and it's exactly what I needed. It came with a chimichurri sauce and it was to die for. I could drink that stuff it was so good! The sandwich my boyfriend got wasn't really big but he said it was "really effin good". Although he's was still hungry after. I think if we would've gotten fries as well he would've been OK. I was particularly impressed with this place because they offer a wide variety of delicious and healthy options. And purple potato fries. The location is in a parking lot with other trailers and a bit of seating. We had the gaucho wrap which was very big and very yummy. It's filled with a lot of vegetables and an incredible citrusy sauce and some nicely seasoned chick peas (I think). The purple potato fries were awesome looking and decent. My wife and I were checking out the dry caves right up the road from here. After a long day of driving from the other side of the island, we wanted a quick bite to eat and decided to stop by this little parking lot of food trucks. Since being in Kauai, we have been trying to eat at as many local spots as possible. We ordered the Local Steak Sandwich and some purple sweet potato fries. Loving the crunch of those roasted chickpeas and the chimichurri vinegarette in the gaucho wrap, especially with the avocado and corn mmmmmm delicious! The sweet purple potato fries were okay. For $6 they don't give much (equivalent to McD's small to medium fries) and any sauce but organic ketchup is $1 extra. Also no drinkable water here for free. Bring your own! This food truck is located in the same area as trucking delicious and other food trucks, and they share 4-5 picnic benches for everyone to use! My husband and I shared the following: 1) Gaucho wrap with chicken - this was fresh and flavorful, but lacked the chimichurri flavor described and expected. It was good, but not great. 2) Fries - a bit overcooked 3) Grilled chicken side - juicy and fresh We had to wait over 30 minutes for our food, which we found unreasonable. Also, I was annoyed that the order taker told us the food would take a half hour after we had ordered and paid, rather than before! I understand waiting for made-to-order food, but 30 minutes is excessive for a food truck - we should have been warned before ordering. Overall, this was a disappointment. read more

We stopped by here today thanks to the great reviews by fellow Yelpers. After a day at the beach or hiking or other North Shore adventure, this is a great place to eat. It's in the center in Hanalei where a bunch of food trucks are together. We tried the chicken sandwich & steak sandwich. They were both delicious. You get a choice of sauce - ranch, chipotle, honey mustard. I opted for chipotle as did my husband, and my mother in law ranch. We all thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches! The kids had the chicken strips - they're grilled! Yes so good! We also had their fries. WOW so good are these fries. Take my word for it -- actually just go get some :). The drink options are iced tea and coffee. You can get other drinks at the liquor store next to the food truck while you wait for your food. We ordered iced tea and really loved it. So fresh. There are a bunch of picnic tables to eat at, chickens are bountiful. The vibe in this area is great, I would definitely recommend you visit. We got a vegetarian wrap and a vegan wrap. Both wraps were extremely fresh and you can tell the place takes pride in the quality of their products. The vegetarian and vegan wrap were basically a salads in a tortilla and were very fresh - vegetarian had ranch and egg in it while the vegan had some nice crunchy chickpeas in it. We also had their fruit punch, which was coconut water with fresh fruit juices and that was very refreshing on a hot Kauai day.we also got the fried which were AMAZING and a generous portion. Salad portion was perfect with lots of textures and great flavor. The kale was tender and the dressing just right. Waited about 10 minutes, as it was busy during the lunch hour. Seating is available on picnic tables out front. Watch out for the chickens, they'll jump up on the table in a heart beat. Couldn't believe I saw a chicken fly out of he trash can when someone was throwing away their garbage! If you're looking for a tasty, healthy lunch with local flavor, check out this food truck. Tons of toppings to keep you satisfied. It could have used a little bit of salt, though. The steak sandwich was really yummy with the chimmichurry (spelling that wrong sorry). We got the Jurassic Bowl and the Pineapple Sunrise pancakes and shared both. The bowl has some awesome flavors to it that pack a delicious punch (without being too spicy) and the coconut syrup on the pineapple sunrise pancakes is phenomenal. They grill a nice chicken breast, use very tasty diced tomatoes, high quality greens that went perfectly with their homemade chipotle sauce and a great bun to make the best sandwich! Wow this place really impressed us. Just a heads up, there are a ton of chickens around the food truck and they took a long time to get us our food because the line was so long. The best find. Came here 2 days in a row on a 5 day trip so I think that says it all! Great post-Kalalau Trail hike or post-beach lunch in Hanalei. Food truck nestled between a few other trucks (trucking delicious and some other ones). Some picnic tables outside, shared with chickens and birds. I do wish these were cleaner. There are port -o-potties nearby for bathrooms. The bowls you can get as a salad, wrap, or grain bowl (it's the salad but 1/2 the greens are subbed with quinoa). We got the Kauaian salad which had kale massaged with honey mustard dressing, roasted veggies (eggplant, zucchini, carrots, peppers), macadamia nuts and added chicken for $5. Chicken is grilled and cut into small pieces, not dry and a good amount too! Actually the whole salad was really generously sized especially compared to grain bowl form. The steak sandwich with chimichurri sauce was also so yummy but too messy. The steak is cut up into small pieces and the bun is soft so the contents don't stay between the bread! Ended up being a knife and fork type of meal. Molokai sweet potato fries, chipotle cheese fries, and chicken tenders (grilled) were also winners. The only thing we tried that we wouldn't get again is the coffee - seemed watered down. But otherwise this place was one of the best meals we had on the island! read more
