Went back before departing for the mainland. Lines still crazy AND Absolutely worth it. Go and enjoy. Updated to 5 stars

This place was mentioned on quite a few Kauai itineraries and I understand why. Its nice establishment across the street from the Ching Young Village. They closed at 1230 so we got there around 11. Unfortunately, by that time most of the baked goods were gone. There was one blueberry muffin left and it tasted great! I also ordered a tropical smoothie and it tasted so fresh and refreahing! My friends ordered avocado toast; it looked great and was told it was just as good. There had to be at least two avocados a plate. Great place and a must visit when in Kauai!

gluten free bread was SO good! Great flavor and held up well. BLT was delish and the aioli was perfect. Got a lavender matcha latte too, which was very refreshing. Loved sitting outside and relaxing!

This place is definitely popular for a reason! It's very cute with good food and great pastries. Pricey but the servings are huge. Breakfast burrito was great. Yogurt bowl was mid at best. I can make a better one at home (skip that). Blueberry poptart was pretty comm good too! Worth the stop but be ready for wait times!

Parking is very hard to find at lunch time. Breads are very good & fresh. Closes at 12:30pm. Plenty of outdoor seating. Sometimes you can overhear the outdoor performances. They give you a number and they bring you the food outside.

Waited all week to give this place a try outside of the coffee. They do have extremely das service. Everyone is very nice and friendly. The decor and feel of the place fits the Hanalei vibes for sure and it's great that it's open seating indoor and outdoor. The coffee is great! I got the Cold Brew both times. The food is great. Nothing absolutely spectacular but it is very fresh. The bread on the sandwiches is light and fluffy. I had a Rueben, a Breakfast burrito and the fancy toast with Gluten Free Bread (just to try it). The Gluten free bread is amazing and some days they have gluten free banana bread which was just amazing! All the food is fresh and tasty with great flavor profiles. I highly suggest this place when visiting!

Their breakfast sandwich was enough to split and we couldn't go without the bagel.

If your in the area of the North Shore don't miss out for a chance to enjoy this place. The atmosphere is relaxing offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The bread is so fresh as are all the ingredients they use. If your lucky enough you can snag a loaf to take with you before it's sold out cause it will sell out. Friendly and fast service

We went here several times for breakfast during our stay in North Kauai, and it quickly became one of our favorite morning spots. Over a few visits, we tried the avocado toast, apple ricotta toast, peanut butter banana toast, breakfast burritos, mocha, latte, and tropical smoothie -- everything was consistently good. My personal favorites: the tropical smoothie (so fresh and vibrant), the breakfast burrito (the salsa on the side is surprisingly amazing), and the apple ricotta toast -- sweet, rich, and definitely one to share. And of course, a mocha to end the meal. Highly recommend starting your day here if you're in Hanalei. Just a heads up -- lines can get long when placing your order at the counter. Food is brought out to your table, but you'll need to pick up your drinks at the smoothie/coffee counter.

Review 100 Not great. I ordered a latte and the breakfast burrito. The coffee was very weak -- it tasted more like milk than coffee. The burrito was okay; it was mostly potatoes and by the end it felt heavy. It really could have used some meat. However the service was good and the place has a fantastic view of the Kauai mountains.

I ordered two things to be able to try different things. Portion sizes were great. The biscuit was so fresh and warm topped with the jam. It was phenomenal. Plenty of seating. Arrive early as this place will have a long line. I will definitely be returning when I island hop to Kauai again.

Turkey Club, Matcha Latte, Mango Guava Pastry.

Are there gift cards to purchase? Would like to buy one for a friend traveling to hanalei for vacay, and htis looks like a nice breakfast surprise for them!! Let me know ASAP!

There is no website that I was able to find so I do not know and google info does not show it. U might try calling to see. Its a tiny little place in a super laid back place so it wont surprise me if answer is no. But Id still call.

Is there wifi available?

No wifi. You're on vacation.

Do the breakfast burritos come with a corn or flour tortilla? Want to go here but my husband's gluten free, not sure he could have anything else.

Flour tortillas. I'm sure they would provide the filling without the tortilla in a bowl or something.

Has ample free parking in a cute little mall. There are self checkout machines in Princeville but not in the Foodlands I know on Oahu. I took a pic below. The store is clean and well stocked. I did not need to interact with any staff.

For me, Foodland Hawaii means a large selection of freshly made Poke. So during our trip to the…read morenorth shore of Kauai, we stopped into this location to explicitly get a variety for our lunch on the beach. It turned out great. Foodland is a Hawaiian original, founded in Honolulu on 1948 as Hawaii's first modern supermarket, and continues to be owned by the founder's family. It has 31 locations across the islands, but only one is still open in Kauai (the Lihue location closed during Covid). It's kinda hidden, so would need to explicitly look for it. It's a medium size supermarket. The poke station and hot deli are located together with the same associates manning both. It was busy and crowded around that area, so important to pull a number and wait. Once my number was called, got seven different items and the associate was patient. My wife doesn't like poke, so made herself a hot lunchbox for a good price (one Korean chicken drumstick at $2.50 each; cheddar cheese tots $2.79 for 0.31 lbs; one corn cob $1.29) while I made a deconstructed poke bowl ($3.38 for 2 scoops of white rice; chili garlic crunch ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs; Poke fresh ahi hawaiian style $11.56 for 0.34 lbs; california style ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs). My favorite was the California style, with the avocado. It reminds me of the taste of a California roll. Hate to admit it, but paying for almost triple the price for fresh ahi tuna isn't worth it...the from frozen was still great as a poke.
