Turkey ham & cheese on sourdough
    Shirley N.

We ordered three sandwiches one day during our weeklong stay at the nearby Westin. There's a walk up window where you order, pay, and provide your name for pick up. We were told it'll be 20 minutes. Each sandwich contained plenty of Boars Head deli meat. The bread was local sourdough. I'm from San Francisco the birthplace of sourdough. This wasn't quite like back home but it was good. There was lots of foot traffic. And as such the wait time increased. Pro tip - place your order over the phone to eliminate long wait time. There's another window for pickup.

The only place on the North Shore of Kauai that has the best sandwiches! I got the BBQ sandwich and the Mac Nut Pesto Sandwhich; both very hearty and made with care! They are sure to tell you up front it takes 20-30 mins per order but it is 100% worth the short wait. Staff was friendly, the stand was easy to spot with plenty of parking and it was very clean and welcoming! Will be returning again, thanks Sandwhich isle!

Everything about this place is amazing! I got the Surfer sandwhich which was sooo yummy! Everyone was so kind and checking in on us and if we liked our food. Also, you can't beat the location

Wow! The Italian Job sandwich was fantastic. The hoagie roll was crisp and crunchy, plenty of meat and cheese, and great spreads. I enjoyed my sandwich on their patio and took half home. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The shop was very busy. It was about a 40 minute wait. Overall, I would go back again.

Wow-amazingly delicious sandwiches! We had the turkey avocado and the pastrami. Very flavorful, good bread, and good sized! If you get the pastrami, ask for pickles on the side, they make it a 10/10. It was so good, I forgot to take pics.

Nice little sandwich stop. I got the Makai (tuna). Phenomenal. Beautiful outside seating. The lady who took our order, Shauna (spelling) really helped to make our day better. She was full of enthusiasm and singing along with the radio as she made our sandwiches. An absolute joy!! Thank you Shauna for making a good day into a great day

Workers started a full conversation while I was ordering. Waited 30min for poorly made sandwich. Which they messed up.

We really did "Wake Up Delicious" here, wake up eating delicious foods! hehe. As I did an Instagram search Wake Up Delicious, had many reels and of course I must add this to my list to try for our day's adventures. Although the breakfast item looked great I had two items on my mind to try, the shrimp and the famous churro french toast. Very fun spot to visit, this brick and mortar is no longer a food truck but they have a spot now, I loved the vibe! Limited seats for dine in and parking, but patience should do it. Why Fun?- while waiting for my order, I was looking at all the trinket items for sale, the stickers, magnets and cards was fun to look at and made me just crack up, too funny! I got the garlic shrimp plate ( $22.50) comes with rice and choice of sides and the churro french toast, available in 2 or 4. I went with the 2 for $14. * Place your order at the front and wait for your beeper for your food, there's self serve utensils, condiments and water jug available. The verdict: Wow, omg- The butter garlic shrimp comes with 6 huge pieces of shrimp with heads on, super tasty, fresh. It was work with the head on but yum, super tasty! I wish I had some bread to soak up that sauce! The mac salad was tasty but the kim chee was on the fermented side which I don't like. The grand fnale, the famous churro french toast was super good, I would say it was more like a huge malasada, tasted like malasada, loved the crispy edges and the sauce that came with it. Staff were super friendly and wait for food wasn't too long. All in all- Wake Up Delicious gets my 5 stars & look forward to coming back here on our next visit to the Garden Isle. Not a hype!

You can sit inside or out and they have the doors open so the wind was going through, which of course made me cold. But they have gluten-free buns. So I was able to get a Burger and side salad because the fries were preseasoned and therefore not gluten-free which seems to be the theme on this island. Smh. The young lady who took our order was very friendly and gluten-free herself so she knew exactly what I was going through and has a list of items that can be gluten-free. I ordered Fresh Island Fish Sandwich at $26.95 Grilled fresh garlic buttered fish served with a lemon caper dill mayonnaise and "the works" on a toasted gluten-free bun. It was huge! Juicy and very flavorful. The House salad was also huge and the house thousand Island dressing that came with it was delicious. My husband ordered Moe's Ultimate Burger at $23.95 with Guacamole, bacon and pepper jack cheese with "the works" and his came with the seasoned fries. It was a huge burger as well and very flavorful. He enjoyed it. We ordered the virgin piña colada's at $7.75ea. They were in a 10-120z or regular size glass and tasted pretty good coming in at a cool third place. There's a bar inside that you can sit with TVs to watch surfing and or games. The decor is paintings from local artist from what I gather that you can also purchase. We'll definitely visit here again.

For me, Foodland Hawaii means a large selection of freshly made Poke. So during our trip to the…read morenorth shore of Kauai, we stopped into this location to explicitly get a variety for our lunch on the beach. It turned out great. Foodland is a Hawaiian original, founded in Honolulu on 1948 as Hawaii's first modern supermarket, and continues to be owned by the founder's family. It has 31 locations across the islands, but only one is still open in Kauai (the Lihue location closed during Covid). It's kinda hidden, so would need to explicitly look for it. It's a medium size supermarket. The poke station and hot deli are located together with the same associates manning both. It was busy and crowded around that area, so important to pull a number and wait. Once my number was called, got seven different items and the associate was patient. My wife doesn't like poke, so made herself a hot lunchbox for a good price (one Korean chicken drumstick at $2.50 each; cheddar cheese tots $2.79 for 0.31 lbs; one corn cob $1.29) while I made a deconstructed poke bowl ($3.38 for 2 scoops of white rice; chili garlic crunch ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs; Poke fresh ahi hawaiian style $11.56 for 0.34 lbs; california style ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs). My favorite was the California style, with the avocado. It reminds me of the taste of a California roll. Hate to admit it, but paying for almost triple the price for fresh ahi tuna isn't worth it...the from frozen was still great as a poke.

The poke was delicious and super affordable at less than $10 for a bowl. I think the key is that…read moreyou need to ask for a sample to find your favorite poke flavor. We found that the spicy tuna was softer and more delicious than the salmon pokes. I can see how people would rate the poke less than 5 stars if you purchase a flavor that you end up not being a fan of. We also loved the crispy chicken thighs from the hot food section. Surprisingly the poke and crispy chicken from Foodland ended up being one of my favorite meals in Kauai!!
