The lettuce was filthy, and wilted, I had to pick apart the entire head of iceberg lettuce to even find a couple of salvageable pieces to eat. The cucumbers were soggy and wilted, the tomatoes were tasteless, and the bacon was so well done and crunchy to break all of your dental work. NEVER AGAIN! Just gross. Either an expected surge or too many new teammates. The hostess was new & drowning with no lifeline. After an extended time with the hostess & waiting to even give our names (move the party of 13 out of the way until the last ones arrive to keep your line moving!), we opted to grab a seat at the bar. (We were also told we couldn't sit in the patio as it was full). After about 8 minutes we were able to order a drink & get a menu from the overworked blond bartender. She is a workhorse, clearly good at her craft, but also drowning with only one man behind the bar with her. He poured a glass of wine while she made 3 frozen drinks & 5 mixed drinks. She was handling the servers drink orders for both sides of the bar & patio. We saw a man who appeared to be a manager or owner melting down behind the take out area from the clearly chaotic and disorganized scene. We never were able to put in an order, and paid for our drinks & left.... Hungry & disappointed. I'm embarrassed that I brought a friend that I raved about this place to. Everything was very good. I found $33 for the fresh catch a little pricey but it was a lager portion of fish (grouper); our server said it was 8-10 oz. This was a surprise visit. On our way back from Boca Raton we stopped in for a bite and to our surprise we loved it. The soup was the best. The chowders left me wanting more. The portions are huge. Reasonable prices for sure and a must do again. The atmosphere of the place is a "Fishermans Dream". Take a photo with the huge fish on the wall. Live music and a very nice selection of liquor. Wow they did it again! Great bar service from Sandy and Kristen good to see Kristen who was a server last visit to the dining area. Great food as always, pleasant atmosphere and of course those friendly smiles. You have got to check out their menu and search them out for a great seafood experience. We sat on the patio....guy playing music...just didn't fit and it wasn't lively. I think the inside is pretty cool and turn the lights down lower and maybe this has a fighting chance for a Saturday night going out on the town place. We had the tuna poke nachos. I kinda laughed b/c the menu read '6' nachos. The prior week we went to Tide house and ordered the same thing...VERY different delivery (all the poke, avoacdo, seawood salad was in a circular stack at T.H.) and then 'as many nachos (wonton) as you needed. T.H. was way better but this as still enjoyable. My wife and I both ordered the hog snapper but with different cook methods. Both very good, very fresh, and wasn't skimpy. BUT, when I got the bill it was $29/dish. To me was over priced considering not on water. Total bill with 3 beers was $130.....I wasn't ready for that. Just had dinner with the family here. Our server Mitch was great. Patient, knowledgeable and friendly. The girl that sat us, the one who played hostess, Sofia, not so much. Rude when we asked her about the music, and we caught her rolling her eyes behind customers and talking about customers behind their backs. I just had your fish and chips and they were not up to the usual standards. I could taste the oil it was fried in. Most importantly though You are now charging a transaction fee! That fee is illegal because you are required to post that in an area where customers can see it. I never thought I would have to give your restaurant a bad review but that is just unjust enrichment and not necessary. This is our go to Happy Hour place, Stephanie is awesome and this is no reflection on her. Order lunch online this Tuesday, and it went downhill from there. Got to the restaurant just before noon for pick, they could not find the order. They tried to said it was my fault because I ordered before them open. My reply: Don't even go there. That sent the hostess scrambling away and the rest of the staff was now on notice. They found the order, had to re-entry it. The order of blackened fish turned out to breaded cod in what tasted like mexican taco sauce...nasty. And the salad, although good size, was wilted and not Fresh by any means.
