Wow!! This is about to be my new go-to spot for sandwiches and subs. Fresh Coast has been on my radar for a while now and I'm so glad I finally checked them out! I ordered over the phone for pickup at prime lunch time on a Thursday. They had quite a few people in there when I arrived but they are quick and efficient at moving through the line and my food was ready to go already when I got there. I ordered the Three Rivers Club (which comes with a pickle spear and a choice of side: pasta salad, coleslaw, or a bag of chips. I opted for the pasta salad) for lunch and also ordered the Greektown Salad to have for dinner. The sandwich was FANTASTIC. It has capicola, turkey, pepperoni, pesto, provolone, tomato, and spinach on wheat bread and is served hot! It was a great portion size and literally so filling for lunch. I can't wait to have it again and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The pasta salad side cup it comes with is house made and very tasty as well. The salad was also a great portion size and is so fresh. I love how it is served/displayed in the box. Made me want to take a picture right away because it looked so pleasing! They have a long list of dressings you can choose from but of course I opted for Greek dressing. A great new sub joint that delivers. They have very fresh tasty subs with very tasty bread. I've had the Mackinaw Ranch. Turkey, bacon, cucumbers, lettuce, cheddar, and Ranch. Not a huge fan of ranch but this was fantastic. I've also had the Maddison Heights. Chicken, some veggies, Sriracha, and sweet chili sauce. Spicy but so so good. Well, the food would be good if the service was good. Half the time going there, I can't get my sandwich right when I know it was put in correctly. It's always something different wrong with it too. On top of that, when there's a rush your staff runs around like chicken with their heads cut off. They freak out and don't know how to handle it, often taking out on other employees. Your management is poor, often times blatantly drinking on the job which is unprofessional. I don't know how you keep getting away with it too, maybe Anthony knows (the owner) and just doesn't care. Lastly, management doesn't even have the balls to fire someone to their face in this establishment. They will call you up and fire you over the phone instead of firing someone like a person worth of decency and respect. The food and service is disappointing, and how they treat the people who work for them is garbage. For the money that you have to spend, it isn't worth it. This is the best sandwich shop in the neighborhood. The bread is so good you will find yourself craving it. You can tell everything is actually fresh. I love that they use as much locally grown food as possible. Every time I go there the staff is genuinely friendly, no matter who serves me. They all seem to like their job, and I have to say that the owner sure does a good job at hiring people who consistently make customers have a good experience. And to top it all off, they deliver!
