I had a very lovely experience at Fresh Donuts (La Puente). I ordered the Chocolate Donut with Chocolate Chips ($1.80). It's clean ingredients, a satisfying sweetness, and a fluffy base. It's surprisingly very tasty despite the late hours. WOW!! (Important Note: There's no card fee with a minimum purchase of $1.) I arrived at Fresh Donuts (La Puente) on Friday (around 7:50PM). The parking lot is very spacious since it's connected to a big plaza. There's even an EV charging station. When I'd arrived this late evening, this donut shop was still crowded! Woah! Popular!!! Staff is very welcoming, cheerful, and respectful. Staff spoke fluent Spanish and English. Staff also happily answered my questions. Staff worked hard, and Staff maintained the brightest, happiest smile. On ambiance, Fresh Donuts (La Puente) is somewhat cramped and narrow. There's some interior tables, but it's very minimalist and plain. It's a very forgettable interior, but I appreciated the comfortable ventilation and cleanliness. Overall, Fresh Donuts (La Puente) is a WONDERFUL donut business. It's very uncommon to see such enthusiasm & care with similar local gems. Not only that, but they were rude to another customer who complained about her coffee being watered down. Instead of accommodating for their watered down coffee, they blamed her for ordering it since "Our coffee is not the problem". They look closed on the outside but I'm happy to say they are open! And they are delicious! My daughter said her whipped donut with strawberry was one of the best tasting donuts she's had. My son got the strawberry banana smoothie and it was so good. The donuts were fresh, fluffy and thick, they tasted fresh. I ordered a strawberry tea and it was very refreshing on this hot day. The service was great, we were greeted right away. The woman was friendly, she smiled a lot at my kids she made them feel comfortable, asked what they wanted. I appreciated her patience with my kids. I've using the EV Chargers at this location on my way home and I decided to grab something sweet while I waited for the charge to complete. It about 5PM and there wasn't much selection left. They did have the Old Fashioned donuts, which is one of my favorites, so I got a chocolate one. It was about average sized compared to your chained shops and it was a couple of dollars ($2 I believe). It was good and hit the spot. I should come back during peak hours to see what selections they have.
