Trying to find reviews for med spas in the Portland Market is always difficult. There are so many with in this market with less than 20 reviews which is always so hard to gage if the place is going to be good or not. That's how I actually came across this place! Scheduling is super easy, I was able to get in the same week I scheduled my appointment. The appointment was super quick and easy. I saw Elizabeth who was very informative and helped me figure out exactly what I needed. The only thing that threw me for a loop was the location. It's in a residential building which is under construction. This made it really hard to find. I think I circled the building a few times before just getting on the phone to figure out exactly where they are at. Completely out of their control, but if they had a sign on the sidewalk it would have been easier to locate. I am definitely coming back here to try other services they offer. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I've been to several med spas for various things in the past, but I've never been given such an individualized, professional experience before. First of all, my virtual consultation with Dr. JoDee was thorough and exactly what I hoped for. She was able to conceptualize the things I wanted to address, like some skin pigmentation and volume loss due to age, and was very honest and kind in her analysis. Next, Meghan at the front desk is SO SWEET. She was kind and welcoming while still maintaining strict Covid-19 protocols throughout the visit. Her knowledge and ability to efficiently answer questions about Allē, scheduling, etc. were wonderful! I saw both Jeffrey (for injections) and Tia (for a facial). Jeffrey thoroughly explained the anatomical and physiological reasoning behind his strategy. He was positive and uplifting the entire time, and he is SO TALENTED. He knew what would work best for my face aesthetically and I couldn't be happier with the results! Tia gave me the best facial I have ever received. Hello Portland, My name is Aaliyah Mumtaz,and I am SO disappointed in how this clinic treated me. I read all the positive reviews, and was floored by how they made feel overall. Especially as a Black woman reaching out to a doctor. For those that don't know, it is very common for doctors to write off Black women as patients. That being said, this was my experience. 1. When trying to schedule an appointment online for a consultation, the site wanted my credit card info. just to schedule. THAT is a HUGE NO-NO. NEVER give you credit information to sites like this, or before you've agreed to services. It leaves you open to unwanted charges, and disputes with you bank later. So, I emailed the clinic directly, let them know briefly that I was looking for (Botox & filler) treatments I had previously at another clinic in Hawaii, and could I get an appointment without using a credit card. Dr.JoDee email response to me was exactly , "Um, no.Not online." I don't know how other people take this "Um, no." coming from a doctor, but it kind of stunned me. It felt like a sarcastic response like, " Duh, are dumb." The overall tone of the email was pretty off-putting. But I thought, maybe I am being sensitive, so moving forward, I called the clinic during business hours, gave my name, and made an appointment for a Facetime consultation. The office would text me the link. I never got the text that day. I work 3am-12pm so I fell asleep the rest of the day, and still no text. I emailed the office in the morning, and got no response, so I called them. The call was really IT for me. The receptionist ridiculed me,and my phone, stating that it must be something I did wrong. I am 43 years old, and know how to use my phones text messaging. I did NOT get anything. Technology is not perfect, What can you do? She then got exasperated with me over this, and even more so when she tried to send it again, and it still never went through. After being belittled by this woman, needless, to say I told her never-mind, canceled my appointment, and will look else where for treatments. I feel like they saw my name, and cast me aside as if I was not valued as a customer, or patient. I know some people have bad days, but I don't like being made to feel like that. If you are looking for lip fillers, Fresh Faces RX is where you need to be. Yelp only lets me give 5 stars, but this place is 10/10. From their safe COVID procedures, to the staff, and straight to the fillers. I am incredibly happy with mine. I feel so beautiful and have fallen in love again with my smile! For anyone comparing/contrasting PDX injectors trying to find the best one... THIS IS IT. I'm a research person. I never do anything without researching all potential options first (narrowing them down, getting quotes, geo mapping, etc.) After all was said and done, I had narrowed my search down to Fresh Faces and Skin by Lovely. I called both places and asked a ton of questions. I had spoken with not only Skin by Lovely PDX but also Skin by Lovely Lake Oswego. The issue I was having with them is that I was asking the same questions to both locations and getting different answers (regarding healing time, pre-care instructions, etc). It really felt like a McDonaldized/puppy-mill version of an injection spa. There was not much communication among the team and they really just cared about getting me book and not addressing my specific concerns. On the other hand, Fresh Faces was the company that answered my call immediately, answered all my questions with deliberateness, accuracy, and confidence. I knew this was the place. After all my research, I can confidently say I have found the top place in Portland. I booked my reservation with Megan at the front desk who was just a complete sweetheart and not only that but extremely COMPETENT at what she does. They had sterilized the entire salon and staggered client visits so that there was no cross-contamination. Now for the good part...DR. JODEE... Oh my Goodness. When I went in, I thought I was wanting to get Kybella for my chin/neck. When I got there, she explained to me that it wasn't the right procedure for me. She said "I see what you're talking about but it's not that you have extra FAT there, it's that you have extra SKIN. A better choice for you would be to do Voluma injections here and here and then maybe a whiff of botox over here. This will pull the skin in these areas and give you a silhouette like this." I responded telling her that I completely agreed and understood what she was saying and "Let's do this thing!" SHOCKINGLY, she told me NO!!! I said, "Why not? I thought you said I needed ABC to achieve that look..." and she said, "Yes, but you haven't had time to research this and really make sure it's the best option for you and what you're looking for. I would instead like for you to go home, watch these youtube videos, read this information, take this pamphlet, and I will find a way to squeeze you in tomorrow. If you come in and you are still interested, then we can do the injections." I was shocked. She wasn't just trying to make money off me or sign me up for this and that. She REALLY, TRULY, ACTUALLY CARED that I was making an informed decision!!! I've never seen such professionalism and character exhibited in this type of setting. I did end up coming back the next day, moving forward with exactly what she suggested, and you guys...I LOVE THE RESULTS. It is EXACTLY what she said it would be. She purposely under-treated me so that I would have natural-looking results and that's exactly what I got. I am SO happy with the results. I ended up going back the following week with my mom and connecting them. My mom got work done that also looks 100% amazing and totally natural. I wrote a review about my experience 2.5 years ago. I was unable to update it without a complete rewrite so adding this as an addendum. On my last review you can find a photo of a weird lip filler...hated it then and hate it now. I believed it would dissolve, but that filler is still there in the skin above my lip and still looks awful... Whenever I see my reflection I regret ever going to Fresh Faces. Fresh Faces reached out to me offering a repair or refund after this second review. I reminded Dr. Jody of what transpired, including requesting a refund in the past. I sent her a recent photo with the morphed filler above my lip (which is causing my first ever lip wrinkles around the spread filler), and haven't heard back since.
