It was incredibly fresh, perfectly fried, and full of flavor. Tuna Tacos: These were the star of the show--absolutely amazing! Conch Fritters: Delicious and seasoned just right. Baby Back Ribs: These were just okay; good, but they didn't quite hit the heights of the seafood. Drinks & Atmosphere The cocktails were fantastic and well-crafted. Beyond the food, the vibe is what really makes this place special. It's a very "pretty" location with great waterfront views, making it a perfect backdrop for a meal. It is also very family-friendly, so it's a great choice for bringing the whole crew along. Great seafood, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit! My friend and I waited near the hostess stand for a bit and felt overlooked as everyone was understandably focused on the situation. A simple "hello, welcome, we'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. Having worked in hospitality for many years, I know things happen behind the scenes, but guest communication is so important. After a short wait, the manager stepped in, apologized, and got us seated, which I really appreciated. From that point on, the service was excellent. Everyone was attentive and helpful, and I especially want to shout out the food runner, who was personable and made a great impression. One thing that could have been handled better: our server took our drink order but never mentioned happy hour. When we later asked for the menu, we were told it was only available at the bar. Since I use a wheelchair for mobility, getting onto a bar stool would have been difficult, so I felt that a more accessible accommodation should have been offered. You'll see in my video I was the 4 top right next to the bar. That said, the food was good, and I still had a nice time with my friend. With just a little more attention to communication and accessibility, this could have been an even better experience.

The restaurant sits next to the Coconut Grove marina, and is accessible by land or sea. The atmosphere always feels like you're on a Caribbean vacation. Our server was Iria and she was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu and perfectly attendant. She wasn't hovering over us but checked on us enough where we were perfectly taken care of. We started with an order of the peel & eat shrimp. This is seasoned with old bay and it was delicious; only complaint is they weren't cleaned very well, several of them were cut open but the "vein" was still very present. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, probably should give 3 but the rest really made up for it. For the main courses my bf had the seafood pasta which he said was good, although the sauce was a bit plain (he described it as having a ragu flavor). I had the Baja tacos at his suggestion and boy was it a good recommendation. It comes with 3 tacos and they are packed with fish. They were absolutely delicious. The tacos also come with a small side of elote which had a strong citrus flavor, absolutely delicious. All in all, I don't know why we don't come here more often but we will. Monty's should always be an option when the weather is right.

Genuinely some of the worst service I have ever experienced…read more From the moment we arrived, the woman who seated us was extremely rude. She walked us to a table that was about to be directly in the sun, so we politely asked if we could sit at the table right next to it instead. Keep in mind, the restaurant was not very busy at all. She immediately told us no with an attitude that was completely unnecessary and honestly set the tone for the entire experience. Then our server brought out our $9 non-alcoholic drinks, and one of the glasses had what looked like actual dirt all around the rim. We pointed it out and asked to switch it for a tea instead. When he brought the tea, he explained that the "dirt" was supposedly just from the watermelon. It was 1000% dirt. Regardless of what they want to call it, the glass was visibly dirty and should never have been served to a customer. After that, our server barely came back to check on us. To make matters worse, when we received the bill, they had actually charged us for the drink we sent back because the glass was dirty. The food was below average as well, especially the fish dip. The non-alcoholic teas are also $9 each, which is insane considering the quality and overall experience. The entire establishment felt dirty and poorly taken care of, and the staff seemed more interested in standing in the corner gossiping than checking on their customers. This was our first time here, and we absolutely will not be coming back. The current 3.3-star rating is generous. Whoever owns or manages this place seriously needs to reevaluate the level of service and cleanliness because this experience was unacceptable. 0/10.

Enter fresh Florida fisheries I popped in on Saturday morning and was immediately impressed how fresh all of the seafood looked and how organized it was basically you order at the counter. The staff is super knowledgeable and they will prep your fish for you however you like. Then they give you a number for your order when you pay, and then you wait for your number to be called. I knew I was looking for for tuna, and my eyes definitely wandered at the selection of fish! The person who helped me was super friendly, suggested the amount that I should be ordering for the party size and was able to clean the fish for me. I also thought that the price was super reasonable for fresh locally caught tuna it was 2499 a pound I got a little bit under 3 pounds for just around $70 and it was incredible. I will definitely be back to explore more of the seafood options that they have. Fish is something that I love to eat, but don't often buy from a grocery store because I get a little weirded out at the quality. Knowing that this is so close to my house with high-quality fish for a great price will make me a returning customer for sure. Parking is pretty chill and easy in their front lot and I'm sure you can park down the street if it's a really busy day. Will be back.

If so, I…read morewould have come at a time where I was hungry and for a mere five dollars had them prepare my meal for me. But that being said, I found it to be a very nice fish market. Now there is a huge downside that you immediately encounter when you arrive. The parking lot is exceptionally small and people are parked every which way, except in the spaces. Getting to the actual building will take some time. The neighboring lots have pretty clear signs that they will tell you if you park there. So you're stuck dealing with what it is. The fish variety is good, although not great. If you're looking for strictly local fish, you'll probably find what you want. Several varieties of snapper and the fish looked wonderful and fresh. Some of my favorites like hogfish and grouper. You can buy the whole fish and they'll fillet it for you or you can buy fillets if they have them of the fish that you want. But the part I missed is having them cook it for me. Now that is something I would like to try next time The downside is they strictly local fish. You won't find any flatfish and I was surprised that they did not have any U4 or U6 shrimp which I like to use to make paella. In addition, I did not see fresh scallops. They did have some nice lobster tails although I did not see other shellfish. Some people have said the prices are reasonable; I found them about 20 to 30% higher than other fish markets I visit. The people here are really nice in the market is attractive. I will be back as I said to get a meal cooked for me in part because it is closer than the fish markets I usually visit and also my curiosity after reading other reviews. I recommend this market if you have the patience to wait for a parking space. If you're looking for the larger shrimp for paella look elsewhere
