To be , the service, from most of the workers at the Swap Meet that I dealt with was very poor. I had dealings with four of them. The man who accepted the money for the vendor tickets was very nice. The two females in the office acted like it physically hurt them to have to deal with me when I went to rent tables. Furthermore, they charged me DOUBLE the advertised rate for the tables. The posted, advertised rate for rented tables is $5.00 each. They charged $10. That was for very tacky tables. On the other hand, the vendors and visitors were great. I love this place. I have been going here for over 40 years now, and now I even sell here quite often, and it is a great place to do both shopping and selling items. If you have never been, you need to go check it out. Open on Tuesdays, Friday nights, and Saturdays, and Sunday with Sunday being the busiest by far. read more

I used to come here every Sunday. I showed up and was told price increased $5. I didn't have extra $5 so guy said come pay it by ten and your good. So I went to pay and they said it was gonna be an additional $10 on top of the $5 because I'm paying late. I had explained that the gentleman never told me I was gonna have to pay $10 on top of the five dollars. He just said come back before 10 and you'll be good of course when he was asked about it he said he told me which was a lie so they said I could leave and I'm not ever welcome back there again along with saying some gay slurs and threats. A couple months later I tried to go again and they said you're not allowed here. You need to back up and leave while I was in a big truck and I could not back up. I needed to go forward and flip around and as soon as I start to go forward, a guy runs up that works there and punches several dents in my truck and punches my front driver window which luckily didn't break. Then all the guy workers start surrounding my truck saying gay slurs again and threatening me demanding me to get out of my truck. I took off scared for my life. I can not believe they act like this. Someone is gonna catch a law suit with these employees. As I was leaving, there was a guy standing by the exit saying that they all surrounded him and try threatened him to leave. I have his contact information as he seen everything unfold and just had a similar interaction with them. read more

They don't accept cards or mobile payments to enter. Some of the vendors do but you can't even enter because the entrance doesn't.

I have driven by this Swap Meet many times in the past and always wanted to come check it out. It is usually really packed. Especially on the weekends. The day I came it was kind of late. At least that's what my cousin-in-law said. It was 11 am and that was early to me. She said most of the vendors and customers come really early in the morning. We entered the parking lot and it seemed like there was a lot of cars. The parking lot was huge. There was two entrances to park, but only one entrance to walk into the Swap Meet. If I recall correctly they charged $1 per adult and the kids were free. They give you a ticket when you pay and there is someone else that takes it when you enter. We started out by eating breakfast at a lunch truck. They had breakfast and lunch. They had the menu on the truck, but not the prices. The lady that assisted us was really nice and attentive, but once it was time to pay we noticed it was too pricey for a lunch truck. The food was okay. Once we were done eating we started looking around. Oh I almost forgot to mention that this Swap Meet is on top of dirt not cement. Don't bring sandals because your feet will get very dirty. There is no shade as well so bring a hat. As we were walking, I saw there was a lot of empty spaces. I also noticed there was some people packing up and getting ready to leave. I guess it was just a bad day to go. There wasn't too much to look at and instead of everyone selling close together they were all scattered out. We would have to walk like 10 empty spaces to get to the next vendor. We did find some cute items that weren't too bad, but I didn't think we were getting a great deal either. For example I bought my husband a silver ring he liked at Venice for $10. He saw a cute silver ring for me here and it was $20. What I hated about this Swap Meet were the restrooms. They use porta potties and I don't want to go into detail because they were gross. I saw three of them and they were all in the far back. I'm considering coming back on a weekend because my cousin-in-law said they have a lot of great deals and sell all kinds of good merchandise. It was just late and a week day so a lot of vendors didn't show up. read more

I'm a regular here at the Swap Meet on weekends- I don't know why I haven't checked in before. My husband and I come out here for different reasons: I like the early morning walks and he likes to treasure hunt - but we both come for the loaded baked potatoes. I've found some really awesome things out here..like a huge, old, (working!) vintage movie marquee for $15 annnnd some real junk- like headphones that worked for 1 hour. I personally like the far back section where its more of a yard sale vibe. Mostly why I write this review is to let you all in on the baked potatoes, churros, and roasted corn. I've been here twice, the first time it was overly crowded where there was hardly any parking spots and people actually fought over it, and today it was pretty empty (Saturday). Admission on a Saturday is $1.50 for 11 years and older. 10 and under are free. The person taking your tickets was odd or maybe rude is a better choice word. I had my husband, myself, my daughter, and 2 sons with 3 tickets in hand. I literally had to count and tell him 1, 2, 3. My boys are obviously under 10 so it shouldn't be in question where the other 2 tickets are. So, folks, a swap meet is a swap meet. You go there to hopefully find a good bargain or maybe you want those ridiculously priced t shirts that are going for 5 for $10 or the newest toy that's a fad, cell phone or car accessories, snacks, used items, I don't know--what ever your heart desires. It's a hit or miss anytime you go because you just never know what treasure you'll find. I just wanted to go to go. Not looking for anything, just had that itch. Anyway, I feel like I'm somewhere foreign when I come here--dirt roads, I got spoken to in Spanish at almost every booth I approached, those drinks in a clear bin with different fruits and flavors, music playing at random vendors booths, etc. A lot of the new items are the same type of products and are sold by multiple vendors throughout the swap meet--so you'll kinda notice a trend. Same, same, same, different, same, same, same, different. Towards the back are the used items. There was a lot of trash on the ground. Pretty large swap meet. I'm not a big fan of the fact that there's admission (I think it's $1.25 on Tuesday and Saturday, and like $1.75 on Sunday). Other than that, it's got a lot of random stuff: - There's a lot of clothing vendors, selling everything from underwear to hoodies and shoes to hats. - Quite a few kitchen/housewares vendors. - A few various food trucks/carts (selling all your Mexican fast food, Churros, roasted corn, loaded baked potatoes, various non-alcoholic beverages). - Second hand electronics (of questionable legal origins...) - Car stereos & sepeakers - Cell phone accessories - Dish Network (en espanol) - Furniture & Mattresses - Appliances - Tools - Etc.... The clientele is largely Hispanic, and as such quite a bit of it is catered towards that demographic(like the food trucks, the kitchen goods, the cable providers, etc.), but still is accommodating to all. It's a fun little place to mozy around for a little bit on a weekend morning. It's all outdoor, and only the stalls are covered (and they're only covered if the vendor brings a tarp/awning), so definitely avoid on rainy or incredibly hot/sunny days. read more

- Whatever you guys do, DO NOT BUY THE PERFORMANCE TEKNIQUE speaker / karaoke machines. Fairgrounds personnel don't have much control over products and money, But the business ALE Electronics are nice up until you pay them for the speaker. No refunds only exchanges, but if your speaker is faulty like ours they will not exchange for another one. They will not give money back. They will tell you to leave it for them to "repair" it / or get you new one from LA. Two weeks later the same speaker was given although they claim it's not the same one. But long story short, it doesn't work. My phone connected automatically to the Bluetooth that's how I know it's the same speaker, no matter what they say. Best avoid this unwanted drama with rude people. Unprofessional to the max. Best spend your money on humble people instead. read more

Something fun to check out if you're bored on the weekend. There's lots of vendors selling clothes, toys, food, furniture, blankets and TOILET PAPER! There was so much toilet paper! I visited this past Sunday and the entrance fee was $1.75 a person. It's pretty ghetto so don't expect to find any treasures but it's fun looking at all the knick-knacks.
