Wonderful, clean & professional. Our son turned one and we are so happy we brought him to Fresh Kills for his first cut. First, we called to check availability and they mentioned we had to make an appointment through booksy. So we did. When we arrived I noticed the decor was aesthetically pleasing! It's very modern & classy. I can tell they focused on a lot of detail. Second, Mike gave our son the perfect and effortlessly haircut. He was super gentle with him . The clippers he used where very quiet and did not startle our son. The final touch, was a Certificate of his first haircut, that includes a lock of his hair on it! (As shown in the picture) Like a lot of parents, I am such a sucker for these little beautiful sweet keepsakes. We are very pleased with our son's visit. I have to agree with Derek R., and Jessica A., my experience here at fresh kills was completely negative. I wanted to try this shop, there was a welcoming sign outside, so I went in and sat down. One of the barber's said "Do you have an appointment?" I said no I wasn't aware that I needed one. He said yeah you do; we are booked for the night. So, rather than polite customer service I was met with sheer arrogance. Like get out, we don't need your business. I won't be back. read more

Walked in without an appointment at 7pm (they close at 8). Every seat was occupied with 1 person, who happened to be my friend, waiting. The guy in the first chair immediately told me they were booked for the night. This would have been fine except my friend offered to GIVE my son his appointment. Mind you, it's a haircut for a 5 year old. (What is that really going to take?) The guy said NO and that wouldn't work. But why? If he is giving me his appointment, why wouldn't that work?! Was it because it's a kid? Because I'm mom in a barbershop on a Friday night? Who knows but that's not the right attitude for a "5 star shop" let alone the first chair which presumably would be the owner. read more

Shop has a nice vibe but very rude customer service. Walked in and was asked if I had an appointment which I didn't, I just happened to walk in off the street it's a barbershop, I've never made an appointment with a barber before in my life. I was instructed quite rudely to make an appointment on an app called Booksy, to see what they had available, instead of just telling me themselves. Such a rude business I'd recommend trying a nicer barber shop one that has a semblance of customer service. I did not realize that barber shop was right for disruption until I entered Fresh Kills. It puts a much needed modern twist on a trip to the barber - a modern twist i didn't initially know that all barber ships needed. Appointments are easily booked wirh Boosky, so no more waiting. Credit cards are accepted, so no more stressing getting cash before. The place is clean and stylish, with decor all throughout the walls, and large TVs with movies or sports playing throughout. Every barber seems cheerful and excited to be working there. A seriously great vibe. Brian does an excellent job with my hair, as I do reccomend him, but it seems every barber there is quite squared away. read more

Due to my hectic work schedule I was unable to get an appointment with him today. He set me up with his colleague Brian and assured me I would be in good hands. He couldn't have been more right!
