Just moved to area and looking for a laundry mat. 1st and last time here. Only takes quarters and have to go a bout a mile away to get cash. No atm any closer. All of the smaller washers are out of order and from the looks of the out of order stickers have been for a while. So I was forced to use the larger more expensive washers. Then to top it off I had to read some light weight couch covers blanket as they still had a smell. Not to mention the laundry was still very wet as doesn't spin the items very well. Then when it came to drying 2 small loads in one dryer and 1 small load in a another for over 30 minutes. They still were dry. over 30 minutes. And a comfortable still has damp spots after drying for 45 minutes and adjusting it half way through the drying process. Very disappointed. read more

Our darn washer gave out on us and before we could replace it, I needed to get laundry done. Came in on a Saturday morning with 2 loads of laundry to do. There was only 1 medium load machine available. The smaller load machines were all full of either running machines or machines full of peoples clothing that had already finished their cycle---so annoying. The place itself is has a ton of machines that are "out of order", the rugs are dirty, it's dusty, and the front of the establishment is filthy. Ironically enough, this place literally just needs to be cleaned!!! Not that difficult. So why did I wash my clothes there...because the inside of the machines were clean. I was literally in there for 25 minutes. I didn't dry there, just washed and took my clothes home to dry. I won't be coming back. read more

The owner of this place is a COMPLETE PIECE OF CRAP!! I've been a customer there for over a decade. This morning I came in, realized I didn't have enough cash on me, so I left my laundry there and went to get cash. I get back 10 min later and get $20 in change. This guy gives me an evil look as barks "Are you doing laundry here?" Holding back my desired reaction, I just answer "Yes." I put my laundry in, and on my way out, I say "I've been a customer here for years. You should work on your hospitality." He then follows me out and starts a pissing war, saying I look like someone who would take their quarters. At this point, he's crossed several lines, and I'm done keeping quiet. He tried to get me to fight him, which of course I was DYING to do, but I have better things to do than catch a case with this jackass. I work a block away from his dumb ass, and I will be sure to tell LOTS of my local customers what a jackass he is. Good job, tough guy! I know you're reading this! This is a great place to take lots of laundry if you haven't washed for 3 weeks. They have different size washers- from 1 loaders to 6 loaders- and they have enough for everyone. They also have large size dryers for 3-4 loads. However, this place is not well maintained and no staff available for assistance. The floors are dirty and trashy with lint, scent sheets, and trash from outside and from dirty customers. The washers are dirty with liquid soap and plastic bags. The restrooms are dirty and have bad odor. I tried to change my $20 bill for 2 tens and no staff to ask for assistance- or for any questions. A janitor came thirty minutes before closing and I that person for change and if they knew about the staff and that person couldn't tell me. read more

This is the closest laundromat to my house. I am not a laundromat expert as I have my own washer and dryer at home. But for larger items I come here. I have never had a problem with the machines although I've only been here about 3 or 4 times. I would say the facility is pretty clean. I do wish the machines took credit cards though. The inside of the laundromat is clean enough. My only complaint is the outside, which I direct towards a landlord of the shopping center. The outside can use a power wash from time to time. It's not the laundromat's fault. While you're waiting for your wash to finish You can go grab a beer and lunch at Anna Rosa's next door. read more

This place is super rude !!! I brought my clothes in to wash and the person that work at this place keep on harassing me!! Telling me I shouldn't be putting more than half of my clothes in the big machine (it only filled up a quarter of the machine) then making me using 4 machines for only 2 bags of clothes. After I put my clothes in and money in the machine that person keep on pressing the buttons on the machine to create error and telling me that I should put more money in. This is my first time and will be my last time here. read more

I usually go to Castro valley to wash my clothes but my mother insisted to come here, I will never come here again first of all the machine didn't want to exchange my money for quarters no matter how many different dollars I put in, but magically after the 10th time it worked, after that one of the machines took my quarters and did not want to return them, then one had my clothes hostage over an error and when I tried to call the phone number they have they did not answer, I called atleast 4x times. After about 10min it realeased my clothes by itself. Supper ghetto would not recommend. read more

My only big issue with this place is the parking. If you don't get a good spot you can possibly carry your laundry half a block. I tend to go on Monday so it can be less crowded but on the weekends STAY AWAY especially if you are coming in the evening. Over all it's a great place it's just popular... it does have a bathroom even though sometimes it's broken or a little yucky. I do like the modern machines because some places are extremely out of date with their equipment. Not a lot of seating options either. read more

I hate being rushed out of places. The Asian male attendant told me at 8:30, "We close in 15 minutes!". I was not the last person there and I was 5 minutes away from finishing my folding. Someone else had put 4 huge dryers full of construction clothes but said nothing to them. If the last wash is at 8:30, how can you close 15 minutes after? Rude. This is not my neighborhood wash house so I probably won't be back. Also the dyers suck. read more

When this laundromat first opened back up, it was nice. The area that it located in is a nice area. After the first few years here, it started to go to shit, literally. There was a point in time that most of the machine did not work. They installed new Maytag washers and they have not worked since they opened. They have 3 XXL washers and 3 XL washers, most of the time they are taken up because only 2 or 3 of them work. The owner isn't responsive and the people she had clean for her close the place early so you feel rushed to get out. God forbid you get your clothes stuck in the washer because of a system error, they don't have something to get out quick enough so your clothes just sit there. If the owner cannot manage, she should see the property to someone who can. The previous owners always had someone I here to manage place. The manager sat at a desk and if you needed something she was there to help. Since the new owner, she and her husband let the place go to shit as well as the machines. You can bet even though I live walking distance, I will never wash here anymore. This place is horrible and the owner should be ashamed. read more

The machines do not work. The machine stopped so I called the number provided on the office door inside. A lady around in her mid 30s came so rude. She was yelling at me blaming me that I broke her washer. So defensive and wouldn't let me explain to her what happened. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Dirty place inside and out. Wow... Paid $10 and in 2hrs and what do you get? A $125 white comforter(less than a week old) covered in melted black rubber sh!t in the dryer from the previous customer's shoes... making my comforter from soft to hard like a burnt marshmallow along the edges. Oh, how convenient the owner/worker is here let me bring this to their attention maybe she can help... "Hmm let me see...." says the lady. (She walks to the dryer takes a look and notices all the black smudge, smears, stains) "Oh that's probably from the shoes people dry in the washer, it gets really hot and the rubber melts. We tell the customers not to put their shoes in there, but they still do and there's nothing we can really do about it. You should check inside next time before you dry it." That's it? That's what you're going to tell me that's it's MY fault, that the dryers YOU own and maintain is dirty inside. (shoulder shrug and the look of 'that's too bad sucks to be you') Wow... So for all of you that want this type of service melted on your clothes come here and they can give you an extra "FCK your laundry up" gift free when drying your clothes. Luckily I wasn't one of those disgruntle customers who will flip out and cause havoc. Instead I walked away and let karma do its job. Since we have a Drought notice from our water company, I've decided to wash clothes at a laundromat instead. Heard about Fresh Laundromat that recently opened a couple months ago. Now we always wash our clothes here. So far we've been here 5 times since they opened. Facilities: VERY VERY Clean! There's employee(s) always cleaning the place. You can tell they take good care of the place. New machines!! Love how it's all new machines. Had to learn how to use it since it's so high tech. Love the option of machines having multiple load options: 2 load machines, 3 load, 6 load and 8 load. They have televisions so you're not bored while you're waiting. They also have FREE WiFi!! They have clean bathrooms!!!! Important esp since you're going to be there for hours. :) Love how there's vending machines available or if you're hungry , there's restaurants next door. Parking: Plenty of parking. They have two separate parking lots and street parking, which also has plenty of room. Customer Service: The employees are very helpful! They always have a smile on their face. The place is secure and clean. Its more convenient for me to wash our clothes/beddings since they have multiple load options and I can finish my laundry fast so I can enjoy the rest of my day. the most important thing about laundromats is making their clean! and THIS PLACE IS SUPER CLEAN! so my clothes are clean throughout the laundry process. :) read more

The Good: The washers are good and clean well. The facility is fairly clean (though it was obvious that no one swept the floor recently) and has lots of machines. The Bad: The dryers do not dry very well. In fact, unless you have polyester, some of your clothes will remain very damp to wet, even after almost an hour on high temp and very light loads. What they call "high temp" is actually low to medium, forcing you to keep adding quarters, and you still have wet clothes. The ridiculously high prices in the vending machines ($1.50 for a plastic laundry bag that costs 75 cents to $1 in other laundromats) do not ease the pain of when they take your money and don't dispense. AGAIN, just like last time, I tried to report at telephone number listed on office with no voice mail and no answer. I went there today only because of time constraints. I will not go back. Days like today are why I miss having an in-unit W&D. read more

This was my first time using a public laundromat and I had such a fantastic experience because the owner was so kind and responsive that I may stop doing laundry at home altogether. One of the machines didn't return my dollar so I called the owner. She called me back almost immediately and drove over to return the money. She was also super positive and responsive. The prices are okay and the washes are good but I've had terrible luck with the dryers. I usually have to change dryers at least once because many don't actually dry my clothes. Which results in almost an hour of dry-time, alone. I also find the young woman who works there to be very standoffish. She yells at the young man who works with her and is not very polite in her interactions. Everyone else is very kind and polite. Generally this place is packed, sometimes there aren't enough dryers and you have to wait. I only come here because it's convenient unfortunately that's about it. This place has gotten a lot more friendly since my initial review also dryers have slightly improved as well, bumping it up a star. read more

Update: dryers are very inconsistent. The last two times I've been there it's taken forever to dry. I ended up getting frustrated and taking my clothes home to dry. My dryer at home gets much hotter than theirs. Also there is only one extra large dryer. I didn't get to use it one time bc other people had it. It was surprisingly busy on a Wednesday evening. PMy washer broke and I'm moving soon, & I don't want to buy a new washer until I move. Fresh Laundromat to the rescue. I'm renting out one of my rooms on AirBnB, and needed to wash a heavy king-sized blanket and two sets of flannel king-sized sheets ASAP. All of that fit in a large $6 washer. I also washed a load of towels in a small $2 high-efficiency washer. Those washers are about the size of a regular washing machine at home. The $6 washer worked great. The smaller washer not so well. I had to re-wash that load to get it clean. That may be my fault, because I didn't follow the directions that said to add the detergent to the washing machine first, then put your clothes on top. Instead I loaded my clothes and poured the soap on top of them, which was the wrong way to do it. Originally I planned to wash everything at Fresh, and dry it at home. But since the sheets and blanket were super heavy when wet, I decided to dry them a little at Fresh before taking them home to finish drying there. I put all of those heavy sheets and the blanket in one of the extra-large dryers that costs $0.25 for 5 minutes, versus $0.25 for 7 minutes in the smaller, regular-sized dryer. After only 20 minutes ($1 in quarters) in the large dryer, they were almost completely dry. I was impressed. In my dryer at home, it takes 2 full cycles or 2-3 hours for these sheets to dry. So I didn't have any problems with the dryers like other reviewers have. However, the blanket didn't dry completely, but that was no surprise, since its a thick heavy German-made cotton blanket. I dried it for 14 more minutes in a smaller dryer, but it still wasn't completely dry. Again, no surprise, since it takes 2-3 hours to dry at home. So I finished drying the blanket at home in about 45 minutes, \ a fraction of the time it normally takes. Overall, I thought this was a great laundromat. It was very clean, and I ran two quick errands while my clothes were washing, and got back in time to put them in the dryer. There are two flat screen tvs so I watched the news while I waited. The time flew by. I used to work in that area and would sometimes get a super burrito to go at Ana Rosa's next door. So that's an extra incentive for washing my clothes at Fresh, because their burritos are good. It has been *years* since I've used a laundromat, and overall it was a good experience. It only took me an hour and a half to wash & dry all that bedding at Fresh, whereas it would have taken me all day and maybe even part of the next morning to get it done at home. read more

This is place is a dirty place and management is useless . I come to wash my white comforter, and walk out with with dirty black stained comforter ... My comforter is ruined and the owner tells me "we can't help you, shoulda have made sure the drier you used was clean" WTF are you serious ... It should have been clean ! And I checked and didn't notice that there was any BLACK particles that would make my comforter dirty !!! Beware !!!! I will never ever come here again !!! read more

First time i went there and last time ill go. Parking is horrible, if you cant find parking be ready to walk with your baskets. When i walked in first time i noticed was how dirty this place is. The trash cans had garbage all the way to the top.The floors were all dirty. The machines had soap running down. When it was time for me fold clothes, the tables were dirty. I had to clean my own table. After almost done with folding, i saw a couple come into the laundries and was cleaning the place up. But this was because it was almost closing time. I stayed there because it was closer to my home, next time ill be taken a drive. read more

Very hygienic place, restrooms are separate from W & M.. machines are all brand new yet cheaper. They have vending machines too! Staffs can easily reach for assistance. My kids and I went to wash our clothes around 8:15 pm and the sign says 8:30 last wash. So the wash took 45 minutes and put our clothes into the dryer. After 30 minutes of drying the owner shut the dyer off and said we are closing now. They force us to leave the place while our clothes still not fully dried. We will no longer go to this place. Besides, their dryer does not dry properly. Your 25 cents is good for 6 minutes. Some place 9 minutes. read more

Avoid this place if you can. My first time there I brought an expensive comforter in to wash. It's king size so it won't fit in the small washer/dryer I have at home. After two hours in the dryer it came out still wet with some kind black sticky stuff on it. Never been able to get it off. $125 down the drain. But I gave them another shot which was a COMPLETE mistake. The washer got stuck after taking my $6.00 and after calling their number and knocking on their door several times I once again was out of luck. In total, this place cost me $131 and my clothes are still dirty. read more
