Miss Katrina did a great job. I had permanent make up done in 2011 then a touch up in 2013. Six years later it was time for another touch up. The original lady moved away and I was given Katrina's info from my hairstylist. I was hesitant about going to someone new since this is a critical procedure and has to be done correctly. I went with my gut and made the appointment but not before I sent her selfie's. She said she could help me get things freshened up. She did my eyebrows and upper and lower liner. I was afraid they were going to be too thick or too dark. A couple of weeks later I was not happy with the color of my brows. She said to come in and she would correct the color and make them lighter. It is too soon to tell yet but so far it's lookin good. She is a very nice lady and makes sure you are comfortable with a blanket and a pillow. read more

The wide variety of horribly botched examples revealed by a quick google search quickly confirms why permanent makeup can be a frightening prospect indeed. If you're on the fence, hopefully this will help put your mind at ease! 1.5 years after my initial visit to Katrina, my original permanent eyebrows had nearly disappeared entirely, and I missed them. This time I requested the "hair stroke" method to hopefully make them look even a little more natural and full. Katrina is very, very sweet. She took her time and it was easy to tell what a perfectionist she is and how much care she puts into her work. I was nervous to see them since I knew how dark they would be initially but I ended up bursting into GOOD tears when she handed me a mirror. Yes, they're VERY dark, but I know that they'll be absolutely perfect in about a week. In the meantime I'm thankful for bangs! A few tips: - seriously don't do this right before a big event. Allow a bare minimum of a week for things to settle in. - you can't do too much research! 1-3+ years is not a short commitment, and this is one time when "you get what you pay for" definitely applies. - Don't be scared of the pain. Everyone's pain tolerance is so different, but cramps hurt about a zillion times worse, in my opinion! Thanks Katrina!!! read more

I went to Katrina for permanent eyeliner done after reading her reviews on Yelp. She is absolutely amazing! She is a true artist and perfectionist, which is great for me. Much to my delight, there wasn't any pain either. I know its hard to believe, but I actually fell asleep while she was applying my eyeliner! A few months earlier, I had my eyebrows done from someone in Newport Beach, but it was so painful to me that I didn't want to go back for my touch up. For my eyeliner, I figured since it was so close to my eyeballs that I wanted to make sure that I get the best person in O.C. and Katrina was that person. First of all, I am the biggest baby with absolutely NO tolerance for pain. I was so nervous when I arrived at the salon. I should have taken a few tequila shots before I got there because I was really shaking. Katrina was extremely patient and so sweet with me and made me feel as comfortable as possible. We talked about what I wanted and she completely understood. She first applied numbing cream, then some cold water pouches (or ice --- I wasn't sure) to get it number. Then she did a little bit on my eyes, then she applied some more numbing cream and some more ice (or whatever it was). Surprisingly, it didn't hurt at all!! My eyelids were so numb that I couldn't feel a thing! I will admit that I felt the buzzing of the equipment (which made me nervous at first), but absolutely no pain. She took the extra time and care to make sure I was fully numb before she started working on me. They came out beautifully, and perfectly straight and even. I kept telling her that I didn't want it too thick. She placed it perfectly on my lash line... so natural. I went back to her a few weeks later to have my touch-up because I decided to have them thicker. :-) She happily made the touch-ups just exactly how I wanted it.
