Beware of the 'Bait and Switch' queen! Martha is one of the most unethical people I have ever dealt with. She provided a quote. Within an hour she provided an 'updated' quote, which she updated several more times out of the blue. She represented that her husband was looking at the pictures and telling her how to update the 'quote' since he was going to be the one doing the work. She later said he doesn't work in the field anymore. She's a complete LIAR. Her 'quotes' are worthless. She comes up with numbers she fabricates our of thin air. Her technician complained about how little she paid him. The number he said she was paying him was about 15% of what we paid her. And he was using HIS equipment. No way the materials cost more than half the cost of the job. Our countertops do look good, but the business ethics exhibited by this woman are beyond belief. STEER CLEAR!!! read more

I am updating my review, as the owner replied to my original review with a lie. I do not want anyone to go through what I had to. The owner states "a leak was brought to our attention when we arrived ". This is absolutely NOT true, as there was not a leak when the company arrived. I want to be very clear that this company CAUSED the leaks. I had to change a leak every two hours by emptying a bucket. I then had to pay a plumber to come and fix it. They actually caused a leak in the shower from the faucet, and one by the toilet. They took zero responsibility, and still aren't by posting their response to my review. I would not use this company again. They did a bath tub refinish for me. After finishing most of the work, [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eric said to not use the tub or shower for 24 hours to let the work dry but then it would be okay to use the tub and shower. He left no other instructions and no other written instructions were sent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was some minor bubbling on the surface that he had to come back for. After waiting the full 24 hours the shower was used with a flat mat with no suctions. When Eric came back 3-4 days later the entire bottom of the tub was full of marks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He then said for the first time that no mat should have been used and that he would have to refinish with a special nonslip coating which would cost another $100 and not to "ever" use a mat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I spoke to the supervisor Martha about this she claimed an after care instruction sheet was sent saying don't use a "suction cup mat" for 30 days. I never received it and I think she was lying when she said it was sent[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Again, we used a flat mat with no suction cups. I had no choice however to have the tub refinished. When the work for supposed finished and Eric had left there was dust all over the house from the work. Along the side of the tub there was also a large ripple. We had to spend more than an hour cleaning up the mess. When I contacted the supervisor she said she would take $100 off the invoice. I said okay. Then after we agreed to that she sent a message saying that because of the $100 rebate, the warranty for the entire work was void and would not be honored. All of the problems were caused by the company's failure to communicate clearly, failure to do the work in a workmanlike manner, and failure to clean up after the work was performed. They did a great job refinishing our tub 18 months ago. However, we have been trying to get them to come fix two chips/holes that appeared on the tub lip and have just been stood up again. We have called them 10-12 times to schedule this fix and they twice scheduled an appointment to fix it and did not show up or call. I'm really disappointed because we bought the upgrade warranty. We had our tub stripped of a previous refinish that was terrible and redone by Fresh Look Refinishing. It was a great deal of labor removing the other guys paint job, but Eric was very thorough with the prep. The paint is glossy and smooth through out, it looks brand new. I wish I had called Fresh Look at the outset. They use an exhaust fan that kept the smell and dust from polluting the house. All fixtures were protected with plastic and drop cloths. Do yourself a favor and GO ELSEWHERE if you're looking to get your tub refinished. I recently bought an older townhome and wanted to get the grungy tub refinished. After calling around for quotes, Fresh Look was available to come out the very next day (which was perfect as I was just moving into the unit and it only has one tub/shower). The two workers, a father and son, were very courteous and spent a few hours completing the project, but when they were leaving I noticed several bubbles and splotches in the tub. I mentioned this to one of the guys on his way out and he informed me to just call the company and schedule someone to come out and sand it down for me. It's no problem, he said, but apparently it is a problem. I tried contacting them (politely) at least 4 times over the course of 5 weeks and have been completely ignored. One time I was asked to send pictures and then heard nothing back. I waited a week or two and wrote again to no response. And then again. Supposedly there is a 5 year warranty but they clearly do not honor it based on this experience. What's more, there were scuff marks on my bathroom and hallway closet doors from the air tubing they ran through the house (I had just painted these, too), and there was white paint splashed on my bathroom wall and dripped on the bricks of my courtyard. Lastly, they left all the fixtures out and did not caulk between the tub and tile wall. Other services I had contacted mentioned they did this (and come back and put the fixtures back on as well) and quoted the same price. I wish I had gone with someone else (they were all booked up for at least 2 weeks and I was desperate). Now I know why Fresh Look Refinishing was able to come out so quickly. For the exact same price you can find a much better service. read more

Although I did not move forward with refinishing because it was outside of my budget, I wanted to write a review regarding the customer service. Martha texted me the same evening I made the request, 7pm on a Saturday which was a nice surprise! She was the first to respond to my quote request (I sent requests to at least 5 companies) so needless to say I had a million questions. I continued to ask several questions over the next few weeks and she was extremely quick to respond to all my texts, very knowledgable, pleasant, and refreshingly patient with my very long texts with multiple questions. Eric and Martha are wonderful and do some of the best work of any service provider I've encountered in my two years of owning a home in Denver. It's really something to get service from people that want to make sure they do the right job and not some patch job that will give relatively soon there after. I have two jetted tubs. One of which was cracked because it wasn't set right. They checked both and made sure the cracked tub was repaired. It looks 10x better than it did before the repair. I had my crawl foot tub refinished by Fresh Look Refinishing a couple years ago and it looked absolutely beautiful upon completion however within a year, it started to chip. The chips eventually turned into a large area that completely peeled off. I called Martha and after a lot of phone tag and persistence, she arranged for someone to come by for a touch up. Unfortunately, the touch up was not the same quality. It has bubbles and a very rough surface and within a week, it has started chipping again. I have called and texted Martha back several times and she will not return my call. I am very disappointed; I didn't expect this. It would be such a quick and easy fix and would restore my faith in the company, too bad their work doesn't stand the test of time. read more

When I got the amazing price from Fresh Look, I thought they would probably do a very mediocre job for the money. Was I wrong. Eric has far more equipment than I thought was necessary to do a Reglaze. Eric worked very hard on preparing the surface of the bathtub. As any knowledgeable person knows, preparation is the most important part of doing a good job. He was absolutely meticulous with the actual painting. The final result was absolutely gorgeous. Glossier and prettier than a new tub. Of course the true test is to see how well it holds up after a year or more. I have no way of knowing that now, but after seeing the prep work Eric did, I have little doubt it will be very durable as well. And by the way, his wife is the one who answers calls. She is very professional and answered all my questions. Also important was the fact they showed up on time. For a person like myself who is on a tight schedule, that was invaluable. read more

Our 1941 tub had been damaged by a previous owner's (industrial?) gluing of shower doors which, when removed, took chunks of the porcelain finish with them. He spent hours prepping the tub, filling in the gouges and sanding the surface smooth. The end result is perfection. DO NOT use this company! Don't fall into the trap I did by seeing some of these great reviews and thinking they must be good even though they're much cheaper than other companies. This experience was a disaster. They claim it is better that they take only 1 day to refinish a tub than 2 days like other companies. It's not. It's a way for them to skip out on coming back and doing the detail work and sanding and polishing the tub so it actually looks professionally done. We had to have the guy come back 3 different days over the course of a week we didn't have access to our bathtub. I really can't believe there are any good reviews for this company. The manager Martha is rude and insists on text messaging instead of calling, even though she gets things all mixed up. She literally told me oops the guy isn't actually coming tomorrow, he's coming in a couple of days because I got you mixed up with someone else. The whole experience was such a disaster. Eric and Martha were totally amazing. We had them refinish an old, chipping tub, plus our tile floor and the tile that surrounded the *entire* bathroom. We wanted it done ASAP because everything in our bathroom was breaking, so we bid this out with four different companies. Fresh Look had the best price and were by far the most responsive, but we had to wait a month to get it scheduled because they are in high demand. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait. They responded to every message within 10 minutes; always kept me up to date on arrival and departure times, and dealt with my neurotic dog when I couldn't be there. They were at our house four separate days and left things clean and confined every single time. When we experienced a #pinterestfail on a DIY touch we tried to add, Eric and Martha rearranged their schedule to fix our mistake and even made an instructional video showing us how to improve our technique. It totally worked, and the bathroom looks great. Plus, we have a five-year warranty, and with the service we received so far, I'm 100% confident they'll be there for us anytime we need help. I have to say that I never post negative reviews, but I had to make sure people BEWARE of this fly by night company. I would give less than 1 star if possible. This all started about 3 weeks ago when we called Fresh Look Refinishing for a garden tub refinishing based on the great online reviews. We texted back and forth and we were given a quote based on the photos we sent. Martha told us that any plumbing work needed to be done prior to their visit, so we needed to get that done soon. We went ahead and paid rush fees to have plumbers come out to fix the valve and replace the bath fixtures as Fresh Look would be coming out the following week to do the job on 12/28. On 12/26, we texted Martha to confirm our appointment and she confirmed they'd be here between 2-3pm. That morning (12/28), we receive a text saying that they wouldn't be able to make it and asked to reschedule for 12/31. We said we were out of town that day for New Years and so we rescheduled for 1/2. Martha was nice enough to offer a $50 discount for the inconvenience. We then tried to confirm the actual price we'd be paying (after the discount) and suddenly the price was higher than the originally quoted price. We went back and forth, with us saying we had the original quote showing less before the discount and she finally agreed that she was wrong and we came to our agreed upon price. Fast forward to this morning (1/2) and we receive a text saying they'll be here between 2-3. At 3:00, they text to say that they were en route and they'll be 30 minutes. Then they text to say they were stuck in traffic and finally show up at about 4:15. When they arrived, they took a look at the tub, told us that it would be an easy enough job and went into some details about the project (ventilation, materials, etc). Then they told us that as it's already almost 4:30 and this is a "6 hour job", they wouldn't be able to start until the next day at 10:00. Hesitantly, we agreed as we didn't have much of a choice at this point. Curious why they'd book a 6 hour job at 2-3pm if they didn't think there was enough time to complete the job...but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, they left with the understanding that we'd see them the next morning. About an hour after they left, however, we receive a text that plainly said "we have decided to not take on your tub". No explanation, no apology, no nothing. We wrote back asking what happened and why the sudden change and no response at all. I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding this company at all costs. They are very unprofessional and misleading. I know there are lots of good reviews online, but please beware who you hire. read more
