We are a military family and we just moved to San Diego from Hawaii. We signed a lease on a unit that we did not see in person since we had to quickly lock in a place to live in the short time frame the military gave us to move. We moved in and found that the unit was not thoroughly cleaned from when the previous renters lived there so we did some research and decided to hire Fresh-n-Home. I had high hopes for this company because the other reviews were outstanding, but unfortunately I was disappointed. The unit was empty when we hired them to come in and clean so I didn't think they'd have any issues finding the areas that needed to be deep-cleaned. There was candle wax splattered on the walls and floors; caked on grease on the cabinets; food splattered on the wall above the stove; a brown ring in the toilet; mold on the dishwasher; among other things. To their credit, they were able to remove the mold from the dishwasher and the brown ring in the toilet, but everything else appeared to be untouched. In fact, they even broke one of the handles on our toilet and left the pieces on the bathroom counter. I found it rude that they didn't mention the damage once they had left, so I emailed Kelly and she was courteous and offered to send the girls back to clean and fix what was missed. Keep in mind, the first time they came they spent about 4.5 hours "cleaning" the house. A couple days later they came back and fixed the toilet handle and wiped the food splatter off the wall. There was still wax on the wall and she asked me if I would like her to remove it, I said yes. She told me the first time they were there they weren't able to get the grease off the cabinets because we didn't have any hot water since the water heater wasn't turned on. By the end of it, we still had grease on our cabinets and our floors were dirty (even though I saw her mop). They just didn't seem as thorough as advertised. And we were charged $292.50... read more

I have to give Kelly and her team 5 stars for one of the best customer service experiences I have had. I had been searching for a house cleaner for awhile, but felt like I was trying to be sold something and was just a number. I felt Kelly's service was personalized and they worked around my schedule. We talked after the service to make sure I was happy and they leave a checklist of every item they cleaned. My apartment looks amazing.. they even took care of things that I had troubled getting stains out of such as my oven and toilet. Kept us waiting 2 days in a row so that he could look at the damage his employees did. Derogatory comments from owner over unresolved cleaning issue!!! I initially hired Fresh-n-home for my CEO'S home. The home owner was VERY particular about how her house was cleaned. The women met expectations flawlessly. The job was so incredibly thorough we went ahead booked them for a few different jobs. They did a great job of cleaning out the house and making it tenate ready! Fresh N Home is a company that is setting the standard for the "Green Movement" in home or office cleaning! When I called the guys up I spoke to the owner Steve and he explained to me the non harmful cleaning materials that they use so I went ahead and hired them. I work in commercial kitchens and know that smell of hard cleaning materials being used and Fresh N Home cleaned my home just as deep as a commercial kitchen cleaning company did if not better! I was pleasantly surprised to not smell or feel like they used hard chemicals to get it done! I called Fresh n Home for a full house cleaning for my mothers house who has Multiple Sclerosis and is bound to a wheel chair. She had a caregiver who lived nothing short of filthy. I called at 7:30 am and Steven the owner answered promptly, nice and professional, and eager to help me. He said he was available by 11 or 12 the same day for an estimate. About an hour after we got off the phone, a deadline at work prevented me from meeting him at that time. I called again and asked if there was anyway we could do it sooner. He said he would send someone right away, and he did just that. The home was in Oceanside and they were there promptly at 10:00am all the way from San Diego. Jenny and her assistant greeted me at the door; they were so sweet and helpful. They were quick with the estimate and gave me a great price. I had to leave to go back to work and they were SO good to my mom, constantly making sure she was okay and asking if she needed anything.
