When I arrived to pick it up, the location was clean and aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, the employee (owner?) was super friendly and kept apologizing for having me wait a few minutes, which was nothing. Today I got a beet juice with apples, ginger, and a few other things. I believe a 16oz is about $10, which may sound a little steep, but their juices are always delicious. Their juice shop is finally open!!! While driving down South Avenue in Cranford, I decided to stop in and check out the Fresh Press Juice Co. Downtown Cranford has several new shops and restaurants opening up. They are steps away from the Train Station, right across the street from the Paint and Hardware store. Their shop is open, airy, bright, and very inviting. There are 3 small tables and 2 seats by the "juice bar". They have an easy to read chalkboard menu. You can even customize your order if you don't see something you like. They have juice, smoothies, banana whips, shots, salads, even raw granola. I originally came in for a juice since I can easily make my own smoothies in my fancy vitamix. But I was tempted by their smoothie menu and ordered 16 ounces of their MacaMeCrazy smoothie. At $9, it's not cheap, but they use real, quality ingredients. Okay, I'm a smoothie snob. Most places don't use ripe bananas or use sugary-full of preservatives-nasty juice or fake almond mylk, like Jamba Juice. * Shudder * Jamba Juice is just wrong. I am pretty health conscious and want to know what's in my food. Deven and Lauren (the owners) were super nice and showed me their ripe frozen bananas and the other ingredients for the smoothie. They used HOMEMADE almond mylk, bananas, green apple, spinach, RAW coconut chunks, and cinnamon, nutmeg, and maca powder. It doesn't sound like much, but it was heavenly. Their almond mylk is ridiculously smooth and the cinnamon and nutmeg added such a nice touch to the smoothie. The color was on point and a beautiful shade of pastel green. Amazing! I sipped on my smoothie for a few minutes whilst surfing the internet. I chatted with the ladies before heading out. They're super nice! They offer juice cleanse packages and their almond mylk for sale too. I'm definitely going to purchase a juice cleanse when I return from a long trip to help re-boot my body. I'm so in love with the place. This sister duo is an inspiration to eat/drink healthy and be more conscious of what goes into my body. I really enjoy the food & juices from the Fresh Press Juice Co.! I go to a yoga studio right across the street so it is a great stop on the way home for a healthy breakfast or snack. They have a ton of unique juice and smoothie options as well as baked goods and snacks. The storefront is well kept and super cute. My brother and boyfriend really love the Banana Whip- frozen, fresh bananas that can pass as ice cream. I've had a few different smoothies but I really enjoyed the tropical rose and pitaya smoothies. Ordered a large juice and it was half pulp foam. Inexperienced employee that you could tell has to read the ingredients on the board to make your juice. Didn't notice till I left that it was mostly pulp? Shouldn't the juice extractor make sure it pure liquid or the very least the employee to understand how to juice? But since she already said there was granola already in it I just simply said no it's ok. This place is false advertising. They are not using a pressed juicer. They are using a residential breville which anyone can buy at walmart. I feel deceived when I originally bought the juice. Giving this location a star because the maca me crazy smoothie is good. I feel that this location is very overpriced. It felt like I finished my smoothie in only a few sips for $7. I also ordered the chocolate chip muffin as I don't eat dairy or gluten. It was the worst muffin I have ever had. It was dry and lacked taste. My coworkers tried it as well and they agreed. I was told about this spot and i had to check it out. I got a Cali dog which was $11.00 (which is fine because I do not mind paying for quality food.) I ordered 3 Cali dogs and I got two little desserts (tasted like alcohol ). However after my long 30 minute wait (no exaggeration) I had no choice but to look around. These two young girls who were awesome and sweet were doing EVERYTHING. There was a sloppy mess because they didn't have a staff member wiping things down or helping the girls who were NON-STOP working. You charge $11 dollars for a tiny little vegan hot dog you better use some of that money to hire more staff so these girls aren't struggling and working in slop. That is unacceptable on a Saturday afternoon to have two girls busting their hump trying to keep your overpriced juice bar afloat. Very disappointed and will not be back.
