I just moved to Bernardsville and I had no idea this place existed. They're great! I had the TLT wrap (tempeh, lettuce, tomato) and it was delicious. It was made with avocado, basil aioli, and romaine as well. On a whole wheat wrap. This is the kind of food I should be eating! Did I go to a place called Fresh Press Juice and only get the sandwich? Was this a great sandwich?? YES. After much contemplation and thinking I'd be walking out with a big salad, I ended up getting the curried chickpea salad wrap and LOVED it. It was premade in the fridge and I would get it again today if I were closer. The chickpeas, olive oil, mustard and vegan mayo made up the actual chickpea salad and it mixed so well with the apples and cranberries. The perfect combo of curry flavoring and sweetness. Also loved the crunch from the lettuce. Can't wait to come back for this exact sandwich but also will make sure to get a juice on my next visit. read more

My friend and I were on our way to NY and she and I both have very specific food needs; her especially. This according to Yelp felt like the right choice for lunch. Although my avocado toast was good the item my friend got got was full of black pepper and it wasn't really indicated. Additionally we had our food and the staff went to the back room and forgot about my friend's smoothie. She had to wait a good couple of minutes at the counter and restate her order. There wasn't even a real apology. The oatmeal cookies were very dry and not worth the price. We dined in but couldn't talk over the sound of the blenders. They should have those sound muffler boxes for them or more soft surfaces in the room. The hard tables and high ceilings made it very noisy. read more

A wonderful selection if you're looking for something filling to drink or even a bite to eat where you don't feel gross afterwards. I went here recently and had their hangover helper - and though I didn't have a hangover it was full of everything I love. This was my first time actually drinking some vegetables and it was perfect! Sooo I"ve been a loyal customer since the sisters 1st opened. But lately I hate to say but service has gone way down & prices have gone way up. I just left after dealing with a beyond rude employee, paying an EXTRA $1.00 for 5 strawberries in my overnight oats & being told if I want honey on my overnight oats it's EXTRA. I will never step into their doors again. What an amazing juice shop! Everything is 100% organic, I am not sure what other reviewers think it costs for organic fruits and vegetables, but I assure you, healthy eating and living is worth every penny. The owners are also very, very nice. They are sisters and take a lot of pride in healthy eating. I love the cold press juices after a workout. Since eating more vegan and shopping at their store, I have felt better than I have in years. My weight is down and my energy is up! I went for lunch here today and had the most flavorful bean burger on a fresh salad. The dressing on the salad was prefect.y seasons. I always judge a restaurant by the salad dressing and this one was perfect. To drink I had a fresh pressed juice with beets other vegetables and ginger. I really want to like this place. This area needs healthier options. Every time I try this place, the service is terrible. The woman always has an attitude, she clearly does not like questions. I wanted a fresh made juice, but she pushed me to get one previously made in the refrigerator. I asked about a fresh made salad, but again she pointed me to previously made salads in refrigerator. $$$$ This place is really expensive for what you are getting. Smoothies and juices are cheaper just a few minutes away in several directions of the same or higher quality. Portion size of prepared meals here is also quite small for the hefty price tag. And when I do occasionally come across something that is a decent portion for the price, it's usually filled with fluff like iceberg lettuce leaving little to no nutritional gain for again the hefty price tag. I want to love this place because I love going into a place knowing that what I am buying is vegan; but I also really don't enjoy paying $12 for a dish of pasta the size of a fist when, let's be real here, I could make the same thing at home for half the price and quintuple my portion. Like I could buy a ton of soy dogs and buns and kale for $10 and have it everyday for lunch for a week when buying from the supermarket, or I could go spend $10 at fresh press juice co and have it once because they made it. Or say $9 for the 16 oz Energizer monkey smoothie. It has little nutritional gain, and I can make the same thing at Starbucks with granted lesser quality ingredients I'm sure, but it would still be half the price and taste just the same and be just as cruelty free. Most days I just walk on by past this place to Kings and make my own meals on my break because I get so much more bang for my dollar and I get a much more expansive menu! Also, honey is a controversial subject at times for vegans, but anyone willing to take five minutes to watch a video or read an article will clearly see that honey would not fall into the category of vegan. Yet the only fire cider I have seen there is the sweetened one with honey. Like I said, I really want to love this place and keep trying to give it a chance when I don't bring lunch with me to work, hoping something will wow me so much I'll be like "Hey, this is totally worth what I just spent, hell I'd give them more!"
