Chicken Milanese, sides of truffle fries and broccoli rabe

Ocean Prime is an upscale steakhouse in the heart of downtown Cranford. They have a full bar and extensive wine menu. Their food menu offers mostly seafood and steaks, with a few other options as well. I was not in the mood for either, so I had their chicken milenase. The chicken was thin but crispy and salad was fresh and flavorful! I wish my side of truffle fries were more flavorful. The truffle taste fell flat. We declined dessert but the waiter brought us what tasted like homemade limoncello for a night cap. Very nice touch!

Went here for a birthday dinner and they did not disappoint. The place is relatively small inside but they have outdoor seating and the were very accommodating. We must have tried every appetizer on the menu and half the entrees. Service was attentive and the food was cooked well. I will say the only thing that disappointed me were the sides. We tried the Mac and cheese, the mashed potatoes and the potatoes au gratin as well as the broccoli rabe. We were not impressed by any of them and the potatoes au gratin looked congealed. The mains and appetizers were amazing tho! I would definitely go back there

Such a cute little restaurant!! Went here for a vday celebration and had the best time. From the staff, to the drinks to the food - everything was top tier!! A couple of us had the prefixes menu and the redt of us ordered off the regular menu so we had a good mix of everything. I would def recommend the tuna tartare, steak and the truffle steak fries. But honestly everything that we ordered was delicious. Nobody had any complaints. This is definitely my top choice for a date night or just a girls night out!!

Ocean Prime Tavern used to be a seafood restaurant getting a new remake over. The remodel looks great; it gave the old place a much-needed modern elegant look. There were less parking in the front but you can easily park in the parking lot in the back. Most of the patrons here are well dressed appropriately for the place. It gives a good ambiance of high class dining. The service overall was good, didn't have to look for service to get our dinnerware changed and water filled. As for the food, the selection was good. Both of us had steak, different cuts but were cooked properly and the meat quality was good for the price we paid for. The French onion soup was the most interesting one I've ever seen before. Overall good quality steak. The only issue I've had with the restaurant was the noise level was just a bit too high and difficult to carry on an intimate conversation unless there's less people. I think the echoes of other conversation really is a bit too much. Maybe the owners need to do something to address this issue. It's probably due to the space it is a bit tighter than other restaurants nearby.

The service was great. The prices were very fair for a steakhouse. We started with a Cesar salad. I don't think the dressing was scratch made. The filet mignon was really good and tender. They had a special sole fish that was good. The bananas foster was pretty good but thought they would bring to table on fire. I think I need to come back and try a couple more items.

Nice upscale restaurant in downtown Cranford. Great ambiance and tasty drinks. Not a traditional steakhouse but the steaks are delicious.

But every door that closes gives us an opportunity to go somewhere else. Cafe Teasia this arctic Sunday night during the fallow holiday period was surely spartan ,modest in size and devote. There was a fellow with a backwards baseball cap on speaking with another someone far away on a laptop, mimicking the illusion of companionship. Another pair playing at the same human game we all play at was doing it in person as a couple or couple to be or two who were to have but these evening. The beau or fella was brashly loud which soon grew charming as I recalled when I used to try to wow girls with tales of meditation tricks and bragging I'd be dead in 2031 when the next Avatar comes out (or the equivalent in my time). So here I was coming in out of the cold playing the same innocent game for human connection. I wish I could warn him that her politely laughing may not be a good sign! Or maybe assure him it is - ah, but who knows what love is or indeed even what fun is. All i know was the last joint wasn't putting out any such vibe. Ah the severance. So I got two coffees to go because that's what coffees are for. But I also got my first ever "bubblentea". The mango bubble tea had these little pearl-like bubble balls that mash like tiny grapes in your mouth. Delightful candified moment. But here's what I'll always remember. The second i walked in, the cashier warmly greeted me and welcomed me with but three patrons here on a Sunday night - and the heat was out. She wore a coat. I didn't remove mine. Our breathe was nearly white but you know what? Not nearly so cold an experience as the last joint.

Being that this summer has been absolutely sweltering this year, soft ice cream always seems to be my dessert of choice on those unbearably hot days. This place in the middle of Westfield is very clean on the inside, really nice and luckily on the day we visited, there was nobody inside so we were attended to immediately. They have multiple flavors of soft serve ice cream, At this visit we decided upon the monster cookies and chocolate soft swerve swirl. We thought about their other desserts, but ultimately decided against it but the mason jar sundae looked amazing. The ice cream itself, the chocolate was silky and smooth and absolutely as soft ice cream should be. The monster cookies tasted okay, but was a little gritty for soft serve. Maybe this flavor would work better with some of their other desserts, but as stand alone soft serve, it just was not it. I've had monster cookie adjacent ice creams usually as hard ice cream, and maybe it works better that way. Overall, solid, definitely would try their other flavors and other extensive desserts available.

We asked for anything with fish be served on a separate plate. The waiter agreed to do so. We got the teas first. They added 50% sweetness to two pots of tea without asking if we wanted the tea sweet. It was pretty much undrinkable unless you were a hummingbird. We waited over an hour for the food, with mostly undrinkable tea (though the waiter did bring a few paper cups of water), and we actually had to flag down the waiter to ask when we were going to get our food. When it came, all the salmon was intermingled with the rest of the food on the same plate. There were some cucumber sandwiches and some sliced cucumbers just sitting on the plate on no bread because it was multi-grain and had seeds, NOT NUTS! The cucumber slices were next to salmon slices, also on no bread. Unfortunately, the salmon was touching just about everything on the plate, so those of us with restrictions couldn't eat most of the meal. Not only was this disappointing, it was also dangerous for people with life threatening food allergies. All in all, it was almost 2 hours for a simple afternoon tea. The lack of regard and respect for people with life threatening allergies is a disgrace. The atmosphere is nice but the service and food were terrible. Such a disappointing experience for a couple of our group who had never experienced a formal afternoon tea, and for those of us who regularly do afternoon tea.....we're just disgusted.
