This is hard to say. Because I used to love Fresh prints. I have been a customer for over 2 years. Melvin and his team were great. They worked with me on everything, from dialing in print jobs to prices the whole nine. I used to sing the praises of Fresh Prints to any artist that asked me where to get excellent printing done for a great price. But over the past year that has changed. Ill simply include the body of the last email I sent them to give you an idea of why I finally gave up and have moved my business elsewhere. This was after 2 days of just trying to get confirmation that they would complete my order, them scurrying around the issue of being able to meet a reasonable deadline (over a week). And this is very typical of what I have experienced here lately. "Do you treat all your customers this poorly or just the ones that have been coming to you for years? Unresponsive, reluctance to commit to orders, always acting like somehow you are doing your customers a favor. Dragging out potential orders for days before completely failing to respond so that you further waste my time when I could be going somewhere else. It's such a difficult adjustment when switching printers. Having to dial in the settings on files to meet the output of the printer. As each is so different. Finding the right paper and printer mix to get the best quality images, finding all of this at the right price, etc. it's a pain in the ass. And that's why I stuck with you for the past year. Even after moving all of my other business elsewhere (flyers, posters, business cards, banners) everything except the fine art prints. And on top of everything, you keep upping prices on me. Shame. But you've burned me for the last time Melvin. There's always an excuse. "We are backed up with orders, our printer is down, it's being maintenanced" and so on. Well if you keep treating customers like you treat me you won't have to worry about backed up orders anymore. Ps. I found another printer in Long Beach, and in 1 hour of tweaking the settings and trying different papers we found a stellar combo. These guys are great. I discovered a gem when I found them. Initially, Rachel made me a custom t-shirt for my niece. It was awesome and I have since reprinted it for other nieces and nephews. She designed and printed my amazing business cards. She has been doing my holiday cards for the last few years. I wanted a marathon 26.2 decal sticker for my back car window. This was the first place i called. Glad i did, i emailed my designs to melvin and we came up with a final design :) i went to pick it up, and it was too large. The font was bigger than i visualized. My fault. But melvin hooked it up! This company is awesome! We were running a race, and wanted just a few custom shirts. EVERYWHERE ELSE was a minimum of at least 12 or more shirts, and ridiculous prices for custom screens! We talked to Rachel, and everything we asked for (placement, custom names, print, color) she said, "yes, we can do that.," and worked hard to fit our price range. We used Fresh Prints for all of our printing for our wedding. Rachel and Melvin are really great and professional.They really did their best to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and great quality. We first came to them for our wedding invitations. We had bought the paper and designed it ourselves and just needed someone to print it for us. They ran a test print for us because sometimes the color can vary due to the printer or the color or type of paper. It's a good thing they did, because the color was indeed off from what we wanted. Rachel worked with us adjusting the color and test printing until we got what we wanted. This was very nice because we had worked with another printer and they did not do this; they printed without testing and the color came out black and they basically told us 'too bad'. Anyhow, the invites came out perfect! Just how we imagined. And their pricing is affordable; we were very happy with our experience. We used them for printing our programs and signs too! We definitely suggest them for any of your printing needs and we plan on using them whenever we need printers again. read more
