Everyone I came in contact with was friendly, professional, and above all, caring. Shout out to CNA's, Olga, Jose, Carlos and Crystal. The Physical and Occupational Therapists were upbeat and full of motivation and praise. Shout out to Shelly, Celena, Mandy and Alex. Also Kim and Kat (PT Manager and Asst. Manager). Courtyard is very clean! All rooms were swept daily and deep cleaned regularly. In the rehab room, all equipment is wiped down with disinfected after each use. Food was what you would expect... (No Michelin Stars) but, the staff made sure you were satisfied and good about offering alternatives. There were a few mix-ups with medications when I first arrived, but those were straightened out immediately. All in all, very happy with our choice.

I just finished an 18 month dui court ordered program on the 6th of August. It was definitely a process but Kelly and the staff made it all worth while. My attitude at wasn't the best at first, but it wasnt the worst either, I played the victim when In all actuality I was the culprit, but once I started showing up and handling business it became a pleasure to be at high gain. Robert always kept the humor in the lessons we learned. All of the staff are about business but if your willing to do the work and participate they will match that energy and go all out for you and help. I didn't see the end of the road from the jump but now that I finished I'm truly grateful for what High gain has done for me and the knowledge that I've attained. This is the best place in Long Beach to take care of this misery. Look no further because these are true professionals. This was truly the worst experience of my life, having to go through and suffer with a situation like this. Their staff is so good. I went into this thinking I was gonna have to watch a bunch of videos about people getting killed by drunk drivers. I couldn't be more wrong. This program focuses on mental health, rehabilitation, and they are sincerely kind and non-judgmental of everyone. I will never in my life need their services again, however, I can tell you, if you are looking for a program in the long beach area, this is the place to go. I'm a licensed mental health professional and I can fully vouch for their legitimacy. They are strict about timeliness and attendance, but why wouldn't they be? They need to satisfy the requirements of the courts and need to do what they have to do. I can honestly say that I feel so lucky that I managed to find them, although I will never, ever need them again. And if in some rare miracle that I did, I know they would welcome me with open arms.

Thinking about admitting my dad from the hospital to a nursing facility for a few days was a very…read morescary and hard decision. He needed the medical care I couldn't provide for him right away. I needed to weekend to prep my home and make calls for nursing care. In the meantime in the hospital the social worker connected me with Administration rep SAM who helped ease my worries and assured me my dad would be well cared for. The weekend my dad was there the nurses helped my dad with medication ,food and his bathing in bed. I was able to drop off clothing necessary and the nurses would take them back for me while visiting hours were over. The issues I ran into were: scheduling appointments were not communicated well amongst the staff. I came in a Saturday and the young receptionist as well as another young lady said I couldn't have had an appointment as I was not on the list. However I was just there Friday and they said I could come in the next day at a certain time. I won't spend much time on this as Sam helped fix this issue and I was very frustrated with these ladies, but given they only go by what their told I get it. Aside from that my dads needs were met.

I stayed at the Country Villa Bay Vista Healthcare facility from December 14, 2022 to January 14,…read more2023 for physical and occupational therapy following a fall down a flight of steps at my apartment complex that initially rendered me unable to stand and walk due to severe injuries to my knees and quadriceps (thankfully nothing was broken). When I arrived at BV around 10:30pm that first night (my transport from the hospital was very late in picking me up), the staff was very welcoming and helpful, which helped to ease some of my overall uncertainty being in a situation where just a few days prior I was mobile and living my life, to now being immobile and unsure of what was going to happen next (I'm 52 years young). The two CNAs who tended to me that night were soooo kind, caring, helpful, generous, and understanding, I started feeling more comfortable in my new environment and situation. And such was the care that I received overall during my stay at Bay Vista--the nursing care including the medication nurses, the physical and occupational therapists, the patient advocate and social worker, the activities director, the kitchen director, the administrator--everyone offered such wonderful and friendly care and service! And the housekeeping staff were great at keeping the facility and my room clean. During my time there I went from being unable to stand and walk to being able to do both (with walker and wheelchair support) thanks to the amazing occupational and physical therapists! They were so supportive and helpful (and such sweet individuals) and were the perfect team to build the foundation for my recovery journey (and I continue getting stronger at home). When I was having challenges with my insurance company, the patient advocate kept me updated and went to battle on my behalf so I could focus on my healing. She even took the time to comfort me during a particularly stressful experience I had with them. And huge props to the CNAs--the sheroes and heroes who do the actual day-to-day, moment-to-moment work of intimately caring for the patients--who were excellent. Admittedly some were better than others (like with any job), but they were all good, and many went that extra mile to ensure your comfort. I speak not only from the care I received, but the care I observed with my roommates as each of us had different levels of needed care. I could share many instances where the staff exhibited such care, professionalism, support, and generosity with us (including with some of the more demanding [and impatient] patients :-). And although I was happy to finally go home after my stay, leaving was a tad bittersweet *only* because I was going to miss those staff with whom I had developed relationships, especially my therapists. But I look forward to going back--just to visit and say hi to everyone after I have fully recovered! I would definitely recommend Bay Vista to those needing nursing and PT/OT care.

I have been toggling back and forth knowing this review needs to be done rather than not done…read more The one star was earned and you will read why. It all started as a referral thru a program called Mastercare. Glen Park was suggested to me. As I was searching for places my mother-in-law would thrive in or at least be safe in a memory care recieving 24 hour care as needed. I was my mother-in-laws sole caregiver and I was exhausted trying to provide 24 hour care alone. The thought that she would receive 24 hour care worked for me. I scheduled a tour with Wendy Wheeler for December 9, 2025 at 10am. I was sold on everything regarding the care my mother-in-law would recieve. I soon later felt I was lied to. I was showen a room with beautiful paint on the walls, everything looked new bathroom look bigger than mine at home I was wow beautiful room, nice beds. I figured that was a plus for my mother-in-law. I did a tour in the garden area, entertainment room where I was told that memory care can also be apart of. One of my big questions was how many residents are there in memory care? There was 9 residente at the time of my mother-in-laws move in date. How many caregivers are there in memory care? 4 caregivers I was told. My biggest concern was the distance. So I could visit often rather than not. I was excited she'd be 30 minutes or so away from me if she needed me which worked out perfectly. Moving forward All paperwork was taken care of and my mother-in-laws move in date was January 15, 2026. Glen Park of Long Beach picked Us up at 10 am using there transportation. Wendy Wheeler came with 2 others as they assisted me getting my mother-in-laws belongings within minutes. I rode with my mother-in-law so I could move her in and spend time with her before just leaving her there. Her and I had not been separated since 2019 I have been her full time caregiver. I felt horrible knowing I was transitioning her from home to a facility care. Wendy Wheeler soon disappeared once my mother-in-law was on the property of Glen Park of Long Beach. Wendy Wheeler never replied to my text she soon blew me off. I was disappointed and in shock. My mother-in-laws medication was not being administered. She went days without half of her meds. Even Tylenol for the arthritis pain. I kept asking and talking to GiGi the nurse who really could not tell me nothing but sorry! She's the only nurse. within days my mother-in-law was in the hospital. She complained of abdominal pain. She was sent back to facility from hospital results nothing was found. My mother-in-law was sent back to hospital this time she had an UTI and plaqued with arthritis she was in pain in her arms and legs. She was sent back to facility this time with a catheter. (I asked questions as to why did she have catheter no one knew nothing) durning the first visit to hospital my mother-in-law stopped walking stating she was in pain in legs and arms. She all of no where becsme imboile. As far as caregivers on the floor in memory care there was only one I was surprised if there was two caregivers. There were times no one was in memory care and I had to wait for someone to return so I could be let out. Caregivers were overwhelmed. They litterally said it. From the 15th of january my mother-in-law was in the hospital numerous times. February 6, 2026 was my mother-in-laws last day at facility. Facility sent her out due to bed wounds and horrible wounds on the back of her feet. My mother-in-law was left in bed for numerous hours without food without being changed. I needed help. I called my mother-in-laws care manager and asked her to visit my mother-in-law so she could see my concern. I needed help advocating her health. They allowed my mother-in-law to lay in bed without any of her ADL's being met, without being repositioned. Her heels were leaking. They looked horrible. I felt guilty for sending her there I've never seen neglect like that. February 28, 2026 I moved her belongings out. But noticed 3 new sets of pajamas was missing. I gave Wendy Wheeler a inventory list of each piece of clothing that I brought in. And at the end of the day. I couldn't have my mother-in-laws belongings back. There was no accountability. No one knew where her clothes were. I contacted the liscening department who could investigate photos were taken of my mother-in-laws condition. I'm thankful she is not there anymore. In less than a month of being at Glen Park of Long Beach my mother-in-law needed skilled nursing care to take care of wounds. My mother-in-laws wounds are at a stage 3 she will always need wound care the rest of her life. She is unable to be in a regular setting in memory care due to the care she will need due to Glen Park of Long Beach neglect.

Mom stayed 10 and 1/2 weeks here from late July to early October of last year after she broke her…read morehip. My heartfelt thanks goes out to her regular nurses, Blanca and Yesenia. They became her friends and cared for her in thoughtful and thorough ways, so much so that Mom, who is generally anxiety ridden about being in any medical facility, was feeling reasonably comfortable during her entire stay there. I have to say, though, the best thing about Marlora was its rehab staff, in particular Alex and Lauren who worked with her the most. Mom was often in the throes of depression and despair; I really believe the only reason she came through was the warmth and encouragement of Alex and Lauren. There was one moment in particular that stands out. Early on in her stay, she was scheduled to be transported back out to Los Alamitos Medical Center to see her surgeon. The rehab crew needed the surgeon's evaluation to be able to allow Mom to put her full weight on her injured leg during rehab sessions. Mom was troubled by a lot of pain then and refused to be transported, no matter how much I had pleaded with her. It was only with the gentle persuasion of Lauren and Alex that she changed her mind, went to Los Alamitos, got evaluated and then progressed on her rehabilitation. That was a lifesaver for us! On top of that, when she began her stay, she could barely move her left leg. This was no ordinary hip fracture: she had shattered her upper femur and the surgeon had to allow the fragments to simply fuse together randomly around a support rod he had put in. Lauren and Alex got her going, one slow step at a time, all the time dealing with setbacks caused my Mom's reactions to her medication. By the time she got out in early October, she could move reasonably well with a walker. These days, with me lightly holding on to her with a gait belt, we do the El Dorado Nature Center 1 mile trail every week. I can't thank them enough for their leadership, professionalism and excellent rehabilitation skills!

She informed us that if we ever had to leave to go back to the VA for blood work, or anything else my bed would be saved for 72 hrs. Well the next day I had to go to the VA for blood lab. As I had complications, Had to stay overnight at the VA . It so happened within 6'hrs my bed was occupied & my personal processions misplaced for 24 hrs. When my wife questioned staff , she was informed if you don't like what happened file a complaint with management. When the VA released me to return to this facility, I refused & relocated to a different facility.?

Michelle Ganibi, my sister's nurse or one of the nurses at the facility was super helpful in explaining the care and status of her medical condition throughout her time at the Villa Serena. Michelle was also instrumental in helping her through her transition to a senior citizen facility. Michelle accompanied her to the new facility and answered all her questions to calm her down.
