It's places like this that function more as a prison for rich parents who don't like their kids'…read morebehavior, then to actually help with sobriety, that are contributing to the current opioid crisis. This place was fine while I was there, paying them. Granted, there were a lot of troubled older teens without a real issue, so it was hard to focus on my sobriety. The fact that it is more like a prison for rich kids says something, but I was still able to find my way. My main issue is what happened after I left. I needed proof that I was staying there and getting treatment for my addiction, which they would not supply. This caused my college to fail me in classes and dropped my GPA to a level I will never recover from. Additionally, they released a newsletter that printed my sobriety date falsely. They said I relapsed on print. This is inexcusable to do to someone early in sobriety. It's hard enough staying sober without your old rehab messing with you. They committed libel, and I probably should have sued. Had my family seen that newsletter, they would not have spoken to me for years. I guess I got lucky that no one read it. I am still sober (over 15 years!) despite their efforts or lack thereof. Needless to say, they did not help with my long-term sobriety. They were detrimental to it. Probably in their best interest for people to relapse, then they can bill you again and take you back. I stayed sober by avoiding this place like the plague once I got out. Lastly, what Cade said in an early review was true about one of their employees sleeping with one of the female residents. Generally, the women who stay there have it a little easier and get away with more. I guess that is why a lot of these 5-star reviews are by woman.

They're only thinking about themselves and their money the therapist there are a joke. They are completely useless And a complete waste of money. This rehab is not worth anyone's money hasn't helped whatsoever. It's just a humongous waste of time. Also, all the pictures is nothing like how the actual rehab is. The rehab is literally one star they will not do anything to really help you get through any of the step work or to help you get better. I would honestly say that if you're looking for a treatment center go somewhere else this place will just keep taking money from you and won't let you leave just because you signed a contract meaning that they have to keep you there making a very difficult to actually be able to leave on your own terms I will definitely suggest this place gets new staff a new owner and therapist that will actually be respectful. Also, on my time there a therapist got in my face and tried to fight me few of their staff members or very rude and always picking on me there I pretty much felt like I was being bullied while I was at that rehab by the staff, the owner and the clients they did not have any understanding of how it is to come off a hard drugs and if you're looking for any sympathy or empathy, you will not get it here the better solution for someone who is really struggling and needs a program would be good into a hospital so they can give your right medication. This place did not give me any medication whatsoever and drove me to insanity. definitely would not recommend this place one star

The people are very nice all of the staff, including the nursing staff the CNA's the people that run its social services even housecleaning . There's quite a few on staff that I hit it off with really well and they're very kind and funny and we keep each other laughing.. my experience has been 99% positive and I appreciate them. Also, I think the food is good. I've never been to such a facility before, but the food exceeds what I had assumed it would be. I'm 67- feeling stronger and healthier each day; i've been here one week, exactly on New Year's Eve I recommend to transfer here on a weekday instead of weekend when certain staff members aren't here

From the start, the staff were professional, kind, and attentive. They made her feel comfortable and well cared for throughout her stay. The facility itself is very clean and well-maintained, which gave us peace of mind. Most importantly, my mom's health noticeably improved during her time here, and she even told us how much she enjoys being there -- which speaks volumes. We're grateful for the support and care she's received and would definitely recommend this place to others seeking a compassionate rehab environment. Awesome MDS coordinator and staff! Thank you.

Kelly was always down to earth and ready to help from the start. All I had to do was bring my game face and be ready to get it done and the staff did the rest. I just finished an 18 month dui court ordered program on the 6th of August. It was definitely a process but Kelly and the staff made it all worth while. My attitude at wasn't the best at first, but it wasnt the worst either, I played the victim when In all actuality I was the culprit, but once I started showing up and handling business it became a pleasure to be at high gain. Robert always kept the humor in the lessons we learned. Thank you kindly Kelly, Robert and staff, I'm forever in debt to you all, and I'll pay you back by making better decisions and passing knowledge and awareness to those that are in need whether they know it or not. This is the best place in Long Beach to take care of this misery. Look no further because these are true professionals. This was truly the worst experience of my life, having to go through and suffer with a situation like this. Their staff is so good. I went into this thinking I was gonna have to watch a bunch of videos about people getting killed by drunk drivers. I couldn't be more wrong. This program focuses on mental health, rehabilitation, and they are sincerely kind and non-judgmental of everyone. I will never in my life need their services again, however, I can tell you, if you are looking for a program in the long beach area, this is the place to go. I'm a licensed mental health professional and I can fully vouch for their legitimacy. They are strict about timeliness and attendance, but why wouldn't they be? They need to satisfy the requirements of the courts and need to do what they have to do. I can honestly say that I feel so lucky that I managed to find them, although I will never, ever need them again. And if in some rare miracle that I did, I know they would welcome me with open arms.

now New I can't speak…read moreany more highly of my experience at Gratitude Lodge. From the moment I arrived, scared/sick/miserable and sad, everyone there welcomed me with open arms. And that same level of kindness and quality care was what got me through the toughest 30 days of my 39 years alive. From Anthony and Taj helping me get to the bottom of my mental health issues and subsequent substance abuse, to Mario, Q and the rest of the support staff always cheering me up with a smile, compliment, or other kind words that gave me a sense of self-worth and purpose that I hadn't felt in a long time. I was extremely close to going to another facility but had a really bad phone call with their Director of operations and made a last minute pivot to GL. In a way, I'm so thankful for how poorly that call went and got unsupportive he was because otherwise I'd have gone there and not experienced everything that Gratitude offered me. If you're reading this now, you're likely in a place similar to where I was on March 3rd. Scared, guilt-ridden, humiliated and humbled. And while I deserved to hug the cactus for the poor choices I'd made, the support, administrative and medical staff gave me a sense of self-worth and determination - without which I could very well still be in the dark cloud that my life had become. I have a long road ahead to get to the life I, and my girlfriend, deserve but feel I've got the best head start and confidence to make whatever time I've got left on this earth the best it can be. You got this - all it takes is having faith in yourself and the team at GL that will guide you through the process of detoxing, getting sober, and uncovering the tools within yourself to make a full recovery.
