Juices are unique and organic! Great store and better solution than Whole Foods. Prices at Fresh Thyme better than Whole Foods! Ehhh very much like Trader Joe's. Less busy and a larger selection of vitamins/supplements. So I guess it creeps up to being similar to Whole Paycheck. Idk some interesting stuff but can't bring myself to pay the prices for some of it. read more

My husband and I love this market! We must come here at least 2-3 times a week with it being so close to home. It's a great alternative to having to go all the way to the Whole Foods on 75th. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Great organics and house branded items. Also, the best rotisserie chicken we have ever had! Great to have on hand to add to salads and tacos. read more

Be careful when buying poultry from this location. This is the third time I have purchased chicken that has gone bad before the date on the package. This most recent one on Sunday (02/24) was dated good through another several days (02/27) and when I opened it, the chicken smelled awful. I called right away and spoke to Grace and she told me I needed the receipt and had attitude when I said I don't keep my grocery receipts. After some back and forth she agreed I could return it for a refund. I will not be shopping here any longer. The attitude I received just isn't worth it. read more

I really like this store I love that they sell Niman ranch, Pedersons & Boars Head products! They also have a very clean and beautiful produce dept. That staff has always been friendly and courteous. I really love that it's a smaller store too I'm sick of the impersonal large chains. read more

So glad this place is nearby for convenience. They offer a lot of natural and organic produce and products. I even found Certified Non-Gmo seeds here including seeds for sweet corn! Sometimes their organic produce is cheaper than the regular stuff at other stores. They also have a small cafe for food to go, deli, bakery, olive bar, salad bar, and a huge drink fridge when you walk in where you can find bottled chilled drinks. Employees are super friendly and heloful. First few times I took a long look around. Almost forgot to mention their bins of chocolates, nuts, and grains sold by weight. If you live nearby it's totally worth checking out. read more

This was my first time getting a chance to come into one of these, it was smaller than o thought it was going to be but it was pretty much what I expected it to be. Everything was fresh and vibrant. They had a decent supply of the things they did have, they also had a small section of wine, and a small section of cold cuts and cheese. I didn't buy anything but I'll be back for produce for sure, not many registers so I'll know not to come on a weekend! lol other than that I'm looking forward to giving them my business read more

My first visit I wasn't impressed, mainly my fault because I didn't realize they don't carry your typical brands that you find in a regular grocery store. I've been here a few other times and here is what I like about the grocery store. When items are on sale the prices are great. I purchased excellent sausages and seafood from their meat department. The produce section is pretty nice. The deli are and bakery are a little limited as far as selection goes. The bulk food area is fantastic: coffee, nuts, candy, honey, flour, grains, dried fruit, and granola ect. My personal favorite are the chocolate covered espresso beans. They have a grab and go salad and olive bar, once again somewhat limited. They have a craft beer section that's okay. The dry foods area, cereals, chips and jarred foods section is small and they don't carry name brand items such as Cheerios, Oreos, and Doritos. They have a health food area with vitamins and protein bars that is pretty big. I like Fresh Thyme for some things but they will never replace my regular grocery store. read more

Our favorite grocery store! Excellent fresh produce and fantastic meat counter. The chicken sausage is so good! We've been on a diet this year and Fresh Thyme has been a real partner in our weight loss, as their fresh veggies and fruit have been key to our healthy eating. I love Fresh Thyme! So many delicious fresh products to try and great deals! Last week I stocked up on 79 cent blackberries and raspberry you can't beat that. I also love their homemade nut butters especially the honey roasted peanut butter and also the fresh milled oats. This is definitely my new favorite grocery store. read more

Wow. Where do I begin. I am not from Illinois, so Fresh Thyme is new to me. Ive always shopped at Meijer, where I'm from because they're produce is pretty good, but not always. I started there when I moved out here, but something made me want to stop in this store. So, I did and I will never go anywhere else! I love Whole Foods, but they're so darn expensive. Who can afford that!? Not me. Fresh Thyme gives you a great bang for your buck. Great produce, healthy choice bulk products, fresh sushi and breads and they're lunch meats are definitely comparable. Why shop at Jewel? They have organic foods and so many clean products. They even have cultured butter (expensive, but healthier choice) I am your new favorite loyal customer, Fresh Thyme. I am in love!!! Btw, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because your employees are pretty standoffish. Not sure if that's the area in general or if it's just your staff. I was very excited when this opened - I was expecting a Whole Foods - type experience or a Fresh Market (like in Geneva) but this seems like a wannabe store. The first experience was just ok, the subsequent visits have been highly disappointing. On a recent visit I noticed moldy cheese, deflated and moldy grapes (supposed to be on sale) and frozen items past their "sell-by" date. Won't be bothering with this store. read more

This is the place to go for fresh veggies and some supplements. The prices on the veggies are great, both organic and non, and the quality is the best. Prices on other items make me want to shop elsewhere but this is my go-to veggie stop. When they have sales on supplements, they have the best price around. Plus, the store is very clean, the workers friendly and helpful, and it's pleasant to shop here. No lysol smell or dingy feel like some other stores. But what's with the buckets everywhere catching leaks?? This seems to be a perennial problem here and is kind of annoying. Not annoying enough to stop me shopping here, though. read more

Four stars so far. It's a decent grocery store, though limited because of the size of the available space. Good produce. The prices at the opening were very low and I'm sure they'll rise, but if they're smart, they'll keep them low and undercut the competition. If not, they won't do well. One marketing mistake that should earn them a 1 star (I'm being kind because they're new) is the lack of a self-check--a huge mistake that the current owners of Jewel have committed (removing self-checks from their stores)--I know so many people who have stopped shopping at Jewel (including me) just because of this (and because of the high prices). So Fresh Thyme, be smart and put one in. Especially since Fresh Thyme is backed by Meijer, they should know better. read more

This store is like the love child of Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. Great produce, lots of cruelty free products, and they sometimes have absolutely wonderful deals on random things (like a container of blackberries for 88 cents!). I personally only stop here for a few things on my grocery list; I can't get all my shopping done here. It's also a bit pricey, so even if I could do all of my shopping here, I wouldn't. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought trailmix from the self-serve bins and brought home maggots! We noticed them crawling around the bag of trailmix a few days after purchasing. I called the store immediately and talked with the store manager Mark. He assured me that he was going to discard the trailmix and sanitize the containers. I called the Dupage Health Department to report this issue as well. She visited the store a few days later and the maggots were still there! The manager NEVER threw the trialmix away or cleaned the containers. They were cited by the health department for having weevils (maggot insects) "We observed the trail mix bulk container where customers dispense from and did observe weevils in the container." I will never return to this store, or any Fresh Thyme Market, due to their lack of care for public health. I strongly advise to not shop here, and find a clean store to buy your family's food from. read more
