Walking in this market, it smelled so good . I'm not sure if it was flowers , soaps or basil. I absolutely was mesmerized. Well lit and colorful. Plenty of juices , veggies, fruits available. Plenty of staff available stocking. Store clean and clear of clutter. Hidden upstairs of the foundry streets. Its own area of space. Household items and personal needs available.

Everytime I come here seeing 1 thing is fixed and a new issue came up. Watch your receipts. Note down shelf prices. They charged me double for Hillside turkey lunch meat - shelf price: 3.99, check out price 6.99. Bag of "organic" lime shelf price: 3.99, check out price: 1.99 per lime! I caught them both. They only fixed the lunch meat price. I gave up on the limes.

I stopped here while I was in town and since I had a king suite with a fridge etc etc I wanted some supplies for my room so I stopped here because my area has FTMs and I'm familiar shopping at them. The non alcoholic drinks like soda, water etc were all together. The liquor department had isles with everything except all the hard liquor like vodka, gin, whiskey etc etc which baffled me so is hard liquor not sold here. So I looked around and found all the hard liquor, it's a separate department all to its self with tall isles and long ladders like a horror movie library. The person working the department grabs your bottle because the customer isn't allowed to and you have to pay at the separate cash register in the hard liquor department before you can leave with it. I have travel all over the country over the years and I have never seen anything like this.

FT did a terrific job rehabbing this old industrial building. The slightly gritty atmosphere really fits in with the Foundry complex and the surrounding neighborhood. Somewhat catty-cornered from IKEA and a few short blocks from St. Louis University and its dorms, this should be a welcome addition to the neighborhood. There is a Schnucks grocery within a mile, but Fresh Thyme emphasizes fresh and organic. It really pulls off those themes while indulging in locally made items also. It also feels larger than its suburban locations. A floral department and larger liquor area, for examples, are unique here. Convenient garage parking is adjacent to the store.

Fresh Thyme is a great addition to the CWE. The other grocery stories in the neighborhood should be shaking in their boots, with this new kid in the hood. I have always been a fan of the FT in Kirkwood and this one totally blows them away. The produce and meat departments were very impressive, they were making my inner chef want to buy one of everything. The lay-out of the store flows well and the aisles are wide enough for a smooth flow of two-way traffic. I was also impressed with how they used end-caps on each of the aisles to feature and promote "local" products. Fresh Thyme may be a national chain, but they still care about the local vendors. Be sure to also check out, Iron Drop Biscuits and Beyond. I'll just say, they are mind blowing for this ole farm boy. Only thing that I saw as a negative, is no cashiers. It was all self check-out, which I am not a fan of, but it is the way of the future and I am learning to go with the flow. When: November 10, 2021 Why: Grand Opening

Welp! They've been open just two days and I've been EACH DAY! Stay away from the Bisquits or you will be there everyday also!! They do not accept their normal rewards at this location and that is a GOOD thing because they really have gone thru and priced reasonably. I mean fresh food everyday and sooo close! Also, they feature tons of truly local companies. Also, they took the time and trained their staff and they are the typical friendly and always offering assistance bunch that I've become accustomed to when shopping at other locations! I'll definitely be back, probably tomorrow! Damn damn damn those made fresh buttery biscuits!

Had been going to kirkwood but so glad this one opened. The selections are amazing and the staff is extremely friendly. Priced well compared to other stores, nothing out of the ordinary. Check it out

Located on third story, so park on the third story of the garage if stairs aren't your game! I love the Fresh Thyme sign :)

Yeah it's a cool market but honestly I don't like that they have checkers and not a helpful employee to be found.

It gets crowded on the weekends. If you try and stagger the time that you go, it may not be as busy. Parking is meter/paid parking, but you may luck up and find free parking. It's a must if you are ever visiting STL or if you simply want to go to the farmers market!! I love going to the Soulard spice shop. It is one of my favourites.I have a few preferred produce stands i love going to for fresh fruits and vegetables. And don't forget about the flower shop.

Review Title: 4 Easy steps to 52 Saturdays of CONTROLLED CHAOS!…read more The MUST-DO thing for all St. Louis'ians and Non-St. Louis'ians. But you gotta do it right! Step 1: Schedule a Saturday off to yourself (yes, the Market's open Wed-Sat, but you get 100% vendorship on Saturdays) Step 2: Set your alarm clock EARLY! The trick is the "when" do you get there? Wait til the later hours of the day.. and every shop will be empty that you went for! I've learned this too many times in my sleep-in days, to get there way too late to find so many of the shops sold out, or the "runts" of the sales left. So figure out Early and then getup before then! Step 3: Get in your car and go shopping!!! (Follow the map of course!) Plain and simple you want fresh produce.. this is where you go. Whether it's veggies,. meats, baked goods, coffee, soaps, sweets, snacks, and even alchy beverages if you so desire! (and you just might as the day goes on) Get there early and load up! (Just warning you, you may have to make a few runs between your shops and your car, considering what you -could- load up on. Now as stated by many, it's a smorgasboard of what you can find, all along the entire market. (but just a word of advice, whatever you buy at the market, please clean and store PROPERLY as soon as you get home, this is a farmer's market and you can lose some fresh produce REALLY QUICK!) And just remember you're going to have to fight your way through the crowds. because EVERYONE and their relative knows to come here. (Picture yourself in a demolition derby with everyone.. cause that's what it's going to feel llike... Controlled Chaos! **See I knew I'd fit the title in here somewhere*) I will admit you there are some vendors that sell the usual "touristy wares" on occasion, such as "gold jewelry", Sports uniforms (Battlehawks, Cardinals, Blues), you know the quick .. touristy stuff. But the real value is the food and the food 'trucks', including BBQ , New Orleans style cuisine, mediterranean.. you know everything you can find at a farmer's market :) STEP 4: And to top off the day. a real daiquiri or bloody mary to seal the deal! And there you have it folks... 4 steps to a Controlled Chaos of a Saturday in the Lou!!

My girlfriend and I went to the Tower Grove Farmers Market this past Saturday for the first time…read more We got there around 10:30 and it was already VERY busy. Way more vendors and food than I expected honestly, good energy the whole way through. First thing we did was hit Food With Yoo for hotteok. I got the pork bulgogi one and she got the O.G. with the cinnamon sugar and walnuts. Watched them make them fresh right there. Both really good. Then we stopped at the 4 Hands stand, I got a beer and she grabbed a bottled Fitz's. My beer was good but man, that Fitz's tasted like a non alcoholic beer lol. Neither of us liked it at all. We walked around for a while after that and ended up splitting a bánh mì from Grand Army Farm, the traditional one with the pork belly, Vietnamese sausage, pickled carrots, cucumber, jalapeño and cilantro. On the way out we grabbed a pint of the Lemon Curd ice cream from Bold Spoon Creamery to take home. Ate it that night, really good. Only real complaints are it was VERY hot and parking was kind of a mess at 10:30. There's parking, you just have to circle for it. We actually left our dog at home because we didn't know if it was pet friendly. There were dogs literally everywhere lol so that was a mistake. He's coming next time. 5 stars. Really nice Saturday morning date and there's still a bunch of stalls we never got to. We'll be back earlier next time, with the dog.
