Absolutely loved this coffee spot. As soon as I walked in it felt so peaceful. It was very nice, welcoming, and bright. Music was playing, and it was just a nice ambiance, very cute decor, loved the couches. They have tables as well. I had no clue what to order, ended up selecting the Oat-milk Pistachio Latte, and baby it was Fantastic. I will most definitely be revisiting this location. A Tip for you is to signup for the points. Get those rewards. Tip #2 After 7pm they have a time limit for seating. By the way, the staff was helpful.

Qamaria latte (left) was yummy! Balanced in every way.

My iced Qamaria latte tasted better than I had expected it to be! I liked the balance of sweetness, coffee strength, and spices. It seems like they've got the recipe down to satisfy as many palates as possible haha, you can't go wrong with this drink. There was a long line, but it moved fast. Staff worked quickly to accommodate the influx of customers (it got crowded and stuffy in there!). The friendly gentleman who took my order was informative and seasoned in customer service. We also tried a few of the sweet treats. The pistachio milk cake and baklava were delicious. Brownie cookie and rose milk cake were decent. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Decor was a mix of modern, tropical, and ethnic, which was cool. Parking in the lot was free when we went there, even though there were empty booths surrounding the lot. Might have been used in the past, maybe.

What a beautiful place to have dessert and a coffee or tea. Lots of people were studying there but we enjoyed hanging out. The cakes were good, but didn't taste that much like the flavors of the cakes. Lotus biscoff milk cake and Pistachio cheesecake. Would try something else next time. Rose Adeni- could taste the cardamon and rose, but not sure if I liked the combo.

This cafe is beautiful. It's not as large as their other location in Rancho Cucamonga, but that doesn't affect my time spent here. They still offer the same sweets and drinks. The cakes and Turkish coffee are the stand out items on the menu. My favorite is the rose milk cake and the Qumaria and rose lattes. Everything is really good though. What stands out at this location is the hospitality and customer service. I've never experienced a more welcoming or generous exchange as I have here. I've had at least 2 instances that stood out that made me feel better about the world.

Matcha Latte with Pistachio syrup, shot of coffee, & Dubai cheesecake
    Kiana L.

Qamaria is a really great new addition near UCR, especially since there wasn't really a café spot like this in the UV area before. It's super spacious, which makes it perfect for students to study or just switch up their usual environment. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and the overall vibe is really relaxing, calm, and modern, making it a nice place to hang out or get work done. The inside also feels very intentional and tells a story about their culture, with details in the design and decor that make the space feel more meaningful rather than just another café. It gives the place a unique identity that stands out. The workers are really nice, which made the experience feel even more welcoming. I got the matcha latte with a pump of pistachio syrup, and I do wish the matcha came through a bit stronger while still being able to taste the pistachio more clearly. The idea of the combo is really good though, especially if you like nutty flavors mixed with matcha. I also gave in to the Dubai chocolate pistachio trend and tried their Dubai cheesecake, and surprisingly, it was one of the best cheesecake flavors I've had. It was rich, creamy, and super flavorful, and honestly disappeared in seconds. The only downside is the price, since it's around $8-$9, which feels a bit high for a slice of cheesecake, but I still think it was worth trying at least once. It's a solid café with a great study-friendly space and some really interesting drinks and desserts, especially if you're into pistachio flavors.

At first glance, this place is intriguing. Once you walk in, you immediately enjoy its Arab-inspired charm. It's warm and inviting no wonder it's always busy. Picking a drink from the menu is pretty easy. I had their pistachio latte overpriced, but oh-so-tasty! You get a pager, so when your order is ready, it will buzz. I also purchased a Dubai chocolate they had for sale for $10, but honestly, it wasn't worth it. The baristas are focused and professional, though I wish they were a bit more engaging with customers and really drew you in. Parking can be tricky since it's in University Village it's always packed with so many businesses. You've been warned!

    Pistachio baklava and hibiscus refresher!
    Coco G.

My first impression of this coffee shop located in University Village was that' it's popular!! At 4 p.m. on a Tuesday it was completely packed except for one seat (mine, thank you). My second impression was that it was beautifully decorated, with good lighting both overhead and natural, comfortable seating options (stools, chairs and cushiony pretty couches), clean bathrooms (ask for the code), and best of all the staff. I happened to mention that it was my first time visiting and the gentleman (perhaps the owner?) thanked me for coming and generously offered my a free pastry! I chose the pistachio baklava to accompany my hibiscus refresher. He was so friendly and nice. After paying, you get a pager that buzzes when your order is ready, which arrives on a beautiful tray to carry to your table. I appreciated the two large containers with ice water for self-serve to supplement your hydration at the front counter. The pistachio baklava (5/5) were crispy and flaky on the outside dense with pistachio goodness on the inside and well soaked in honey--high quality, delicious, some of the best I've tasted. The hibiscus refresher at 100% sweetness was refreshing and just right. ( you can ask for less sweetness as you like). About an hour later, I realized that my phone only had 10% charge left and I had neglected to bring a charger with me. Here I was in a cafe full of college students, most of whom had chargers on display (but clearly using them), so I chanced going up to the front and Ranaa if she could do me an unusual favor? Without hesitation, she offered to lend me her charger. So kind and above and beyond! I returned it to her a half hour later and she simply smiled and said she was glad to be of help. Wow . I really enjoyed my leisure reading today, even more so because this cafe was so hospitable. If I lived closer I'd be here all the time! As it is, I will return when I can!

I love coming here to get my coffee/dessert treat afterward a meal. This is a busy spot since a lot of UCR students come to study here. Depending on the time of day, you might not find a spot to sit in inside. There are a lot of employees working so it's pretty quick to get your drinks, but I have had to wait about 20 minutes during the busy rushes. I typically get an oat milk pistachio iced latte. It's not very strong in coffee flavor, as the pistachio cream flavor dominates, but it's still very tasty. It's sweat and creamy. I would suggest adding an extra shot of espresso or doing less pistachio cream since the price is already $8 and change. The other coffee I really like is the Turkish coffee. If you've never had Turkish coffee before, keep in mind that it's a bolder flavor and that it's a small portion. There's something for everyone here so I highly recommend stopping by.

YALLA HABIBI LETS GO GET OVERPRICED PISTACHIO LATTEEEEES!?!? look growing up in an arab household normalized absurd amounts of caffeine after 8pm, so late night turkish/bedoin coffees always surrounded me. did i hate black coffee as a kid? yea. do i require massive amounts of sugar and cream in my coffee as an adult? yea. BUT I KNOW WHAT QUALITY COFFEE IS, AND QAMARIA TRULY DOES IT. if you want to taste the true essence of coffee without whatever murky obscurity western coffee culture made us think coffee should be, here is it. THE SPICES, THE RICHNESS, THE DARK ROAST.... ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. the San'aa is my absolute favorite bc of the cardamom and cinnamon UGH (and yes i request cream and sugar bc i can do what i want--) the lattes are wonderful too if ur a starbucks girly, that pistachio latte doesn't taste like fake labubu dubai chocolate neon green white chocolate cream.... ACTUALLY PISTACHIOS YALL. also im RUNNING for that date latte WHEN I CATCH U QAMARIA WHEN I CATCH U-- don't. get me started. on the BISCOFF. THAT BISCOFF MILK CAKE / TRES LECHES??!?!? DUDE. i'm a broke college student and i WOULD pay 11 bucks for that slice. it's my regular ugh im already salivating also any qamaria is Arab central. if u wanna find ur habibi, bring ur teta here to ask the barista behind the counter for her hand in marriage. easy enough duh.

    Inside seating and beautiful decor.

Qamaria Yemeni is a great addition to the University Village in Riverside. I came here for the first time and it met the hype. The coffee was delicious and the coffee shop was very beautiful inside. The staff were cordial and this place was busy! I would give this place a 4.5 stars. My only gripe is that it's pretty pricey for a coffee. I got a ln iced coffee and it was about $10.50. I those prices I won't be visiting on a regular but it's a nice occasional treat. I definitely recommend this place to coffee lovers.

This place is amazing! Atmosphere, sweets and amazing coffee. Customer service was so was excellent. Wish I could have visited more times but only was in town for a quick trip. Highly recommend.

This coffee shop gets all the five stars! The employee who took my order was so kind and patient! He was also helpful! After ordering, I was giving a buzzer to let me know when my order was ready! I love the decor and the amount of tables they have inside and outside are perfect! My banana matcha tasted delicious! I also did not need to wait long for my order!

    Iced pistachio latte
    Marisa B.

Wonderful coffee supporting wonderful causes. Beautiful, lively, and warm ambiance, it's a popular spot! Normally pistachio is not a flavor I go to but their iced pistachio latte is one of the best lattes I've had! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

I didn't want to enter any cafe very small/ with petite tables or judgement if I sat down for 1.5 hr to work on my computer. I bought a sausage croissant which was just ok, but still a nice quick breakfast item. I was able to sit in a comfy chair with an outlet source & table to conference in my meeting. I was left unbothered & comfortable the whole time, which I greatly appreciated. There are several lounge chairs, tables & areas to space out to work, read, lounge, etc! I would certainly return another day to try out their coffee menu and those earl grey lavender scones (wish I saw those first!!) The barista was kind & the atmosphere very pleasant!

SERVICE here is VERY BAD!…read more The service at Back to the Grind was genuinely one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've had. While I was in the middle of placing my order, an older gentleman wearing glasses abruptly walked away from me mid-conversation to speak with someone he knew. No acknowledgment, no "I'll be right back," nothing. I was left standing there confused and waiting while they casually chatted amongst themselves. At the same time, my husband approached another employee -- a young woman with very long black hair and a pink bandana (see pic)-- simply to ask for the WiFi password. Without even looking at him, she told him he needed to "buy something first." When he explained that I was already ordering, she repeated herself in a dismissive tone and continued making sandwiches without making eye contact once. What stood out most wasn't just the lack of hospitality, but the overall attitude from multiple staff members. The environment felt cold, dismissive, and inconvenienced by customers being there at all. Ironically, the café advertises community classes like yoga and live meditation classes on the window, yet basic customer service and professionalism seem completely absent. The food itself was fine, which is why this review is specifically about the service experience. Even after how poorly we were treated, I still left a tip because I refuse to match that level of disrespect. Management seriously needs to address the customer service culture here. One rude interaction can happen anywhere -- but multiple employees displaying the same behavior reflects a larger issue.

I must say I was hesitant to go here for a few reasons (none of them great, to be honest). First, the name--I didn't get the connection between "arcade" and "coffee" (then again what does that matter). Second, the location: it's in an odd building that doesn't scream typical coffee shop, with restricted and unusual parking. After overcoming these nonsensical, self-created mental barriers, we walked inside and saw that this is a sophisticated operation with wonderful products, employees, and a truly unique experience. When we entered, we saw a very nice menu with pictures showcasing the drinks and highlighting what makes each one special. The barista was super casual and friendly. She asked over the counter if we had any questions and told us to let her know when we were ready. Her welcoming approach was perfect for first-time visitors. We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice matcha and the Cherry Glaze matcha. Both were delicious, and it was clear that quality is a major focus here. The matchas weren't overloaded with syrup like some places; instead, they tasted naturally infused--subtle, balanced, and perfect. For snacks, we tried the salmon bagel and the blueberry scone. Both were excellent. The bagel was fresh and packed with flavor, again showcasing quality ingredients. The scone was one of the best I've had from a coffee shop--it tasted like it came straight from a bakery. The blueberries were large and bursting with flavor, and the texture was ideal: not too hard, not too soft. It was just right. (They should name it "Goldilocks"!) In addition to coffee, matcha, and chai tea, they also offer craft sodas and other choices for any mood. We decided to enjoy our drinks and snacks inside. As we sat, we noticed they have their own bean-roasting machine (totally unique!). I've never seen one in person, but for coffee lovers who enjoy fresh roasts, this means they bring in green coffee beans, roast them on-site, and produce the freshest, highest-quality product possible. (You could say "they have the beans" -- a little Curb Your Enthusiasm reference for fans of the show.) Aside from having "the beans," they also had a projector showing the World Cup. There are plenty of seating options: tables with chairs, standing desks, sofas, and benches. We will definitely be returning to this little slice of heaven on Earth.
