First time using this company very happy techs called in advance service was good very clean will definitely use again

i used them last year with no problem. I booked them again for this year. Twice they were unable to keep to the time of the appointment and so the cleaning could not be done. I called to reschedule and was promised by Mark that we would be the first appointment of the day. Today I received a text saying they were coming in the afternoon and not in the morning as promised. Both my husband and I changed appointments so that we had the morning free as was promised. Their professionalism is lacking. Mark would not even return my phone calls about this. read more

No professionalism what's so ever. I booked an appt and had to reschedule due to my mothers health declining: I told mark that I would need to reschedule. When my mothers health continue to decline I never responded back to reschedule nor confirm any dates with mark as RUGS were the least of my worries and I didn't know when I would be available. He texted me and called me once today to confirm for a day I never said ok too. When I told him no I can't do it Tom due to my mothers medical issues he responded and said thanks for letting me know my techs will sit in a parking lot for another day.... I NEVER CONFIRMED THAT ANY DAY WAS OKAY? Mark than lied and said he called me multiple times... when I only received one missed call while I was working and than received his text shortly after. Where is the professionalism? When I showed him proof that I never confirmed for any date he never responded. I understand that he is running a business but how is it my fault that I never confirmed a date and didn't respond since I didn't know a time that would for my family and I? Not completely happy and there has been zero responsiveness. I had my stairs cleaned because my dog had some health issues and urinated on a few spots on the steps/landings. I explained this to the owner and the person that came to my house. First, the day of the cleaning he seemed to be in and out too quick. I gave it a few days to settle/dry and noticed that not only do my stairs still look dirty (not one stain was removed) but they still smell!!!! I even added on the scotch-guard, which they charged me extra for, that included deodorizer and it did NOTHING. I have tried calling and emailing. I received one call back from the owner but I was at work, so I called him back the next day and I still haven't received a callback. I wasted a lot of money!!! The website says "satisfaction guaranteed" but that seems to be just words!!! read more

Cannot say enough good things about Fresh Step. I inherited some cream recliners (almost white) from a friend and wanted to give them a deep cleaning before using. Fresh Step came in at the most reasonable price point and their communication in setting up an appointment was seamless. When they first steamed/cleaned the chairs, I wasn't completely satisfied. I felt like the initial try might have brought out some new stains...Granted, the chairs are almost white and who knows what they have been through... but I called Mark (owner) back just to let him know. Well, he PERSONALLY came to my house the very next day and recleaned them- and now they look next to new! He also generously cleaned a very annoying spot in my carpet which you see when you first walk in for no extra charge (!!) and then kindly refused a tip.... stating that he was the owner and it's his pleasure. FreshStep was recommended to us by our realtor and we are so happy with them. They cleaned all of the 30+ vents in the house in such a quick and efficient manner. The ducts had never been cleaned prior to us buying the home, which is roughly 20 years old. They were fantastic and showed us all the debris the cleaned out!!! On 6/18/2018, as noted in some of the other scheduling problems noted in earlier reviews, this vendor was suppose to arrive between 12:30 and 2. By 3:15 not a show. Spoke with vendor and said would call back in 10 minutes. At 4pm, vendor indicated that he could not reach his crew. He left a message indicating that he would come anytime during the week and offered what he could do. I said come in the morning on any other day and charge $50 instead of $70. Never heard back from him. This vendor makes a big deal in calling the day before and scheduling. Given the marginal communication lack of follow-up, and that I worked my schedule to accommodate them, they're getting dinged. I used them in 2017 and went through a similar scheduling thing but at least they showed up then so I thought I would use them again. Recommendation: use the penny saver inserts for other duct cleaners at a cheaper price. read more

Made appointment three weeks in advance and was promised first appointment at 8:30. Phone message night before (with no return number) modified appointment to first appointment between 8:30 and 9:30. Tech arrived almost an hour late (nearly 10:30) with no phone call, explanation, apology. Did job quickly AFTER they arrived, so I gave them a star for doing a quick job. Won't use them again.
