There was a recall on my car and it needed a new catalytic converter installed. I had that and the oil changed. I got it home Thursday afternoon. Thursday evening I went to get in it and it wouldn't start. I promptly took it back and since they couldn't replicate the problem they said my battery terminal was loose and that's why my car wouldn't start. I TOLD them and their paper states the car cranks, so definitely not the battery. Got charged $225. I'm so glad I work in the disputes dept at my credit union. They are dishonest and thought they could get over on me bc I'm a woman. read more

bought my GMC 1500 in 2022, brought the truck early on because there was a loud rattle coming from under my truck. Service charged me to tell me they could not fide anything wrong. brought in back in at 40k miles with the same sound, again they charged me to tell me nothing was wrong. brought it back in with 60k miles and had a video of the noise, they tried to tell me nothing was wrong but i made them keep it until they found it... sure enough a bolt was broke in my block, that bult is holding my exhaust system together. to be fair they credited me for one of the initial charge. my warrantee that they sold me didn't cover it and they wanted to charge me $2k to fix it. took it to a muffler shop and fixed it for $500. don't buy a truck from them and don't send for service. complete incomitance. read more

On 12/21/2022 I scheduled an appt to bring my 18 Buick Encore on 12/22/2022 to have the valve cover replaced. I received a call that afternoon letting me know the appt scheduled the 22nd was canceled due to not having enough technicians on duty. I asked to be transferred to someone in sales who could verify if the valve would be covered either by the Buick car warranty or the extended warranty I purchased. A male employee in sales told me there was no coverage and I would have to pay out of pocket. I took my car to another shop for the repair. In January 2023, I brought my car for a check engine. I was later told that the valve cover was covered by a warrant. I contacted Mike Templeton, and he acknowledged that I was misinformed by one of their employees and the valve cover was covered by a warrant. Mike he stated he would reimburse me for labor only and requested receipts. I've left several voice messages, sent approximately 10 emails with copies of receipts to Mike. My emails went unanswered. Only July 18, 2023, I began to CC Jarrett on my emails hoping for a quick resolution. I sent 5 additional emails to both Mike and Jarrett, the last email sent was 8/31/23 and I never received a reply. Lastly, although I am the owner of the car, my 19 yr. son was a driver and paid for the service (his name was noted on the receipts provided). On a July 18th email, I stated my son was leaving for Navy boot camp on August the 3rd and I was hoping he could get his money before he left..... again, no response. The service department is great and professional. Sadly, upper management does not care about their customers or provide adequate customer service. I posted this review to Google as well. I purchased a vehicle at this dealership 3 weeks ago. The dealership put in the listing that the car came with a remote and two headphones for the rear entertainment system. I got home and they were no where to be found. I text the salesman he said he will figure it out. I wait a week and the parts department calls me that my part is ready. I get there and it's the wrong remote. I ask them to return the items and get the correct ones dude says he can't return the item because I don't have the original shipping bag. I say ok I'll go home and get the envelope you gave me and come back. I wait two weeks no response at all I text salesman he tells me call parts. Fresno Buick GMC service and mechanic department are the worst mechanics and services people in the Fresno area and I speak purely from the most unprofessional and blatant experience I recently had. I took my 2016 Chevy Cruze in for fuel injection and coolant issues, which was covered under my warranty. So I was without a vehicle for almost a month, during Christmas, New Year's, but kept being told by service manager Mike Templeton and lead mechanic Rick my vehicle is being taken care of rest assured and when it's ready it will be good to go. The day i picked it up, 15 minutes later I walked out of the store with coolant running from my car, the exact issue I took it in for. Not even a week later is has a slow permanent coolant leak, engine light is on and now I have no reliable transportation for work, during the worst time of year , winter! Never bought or had a vehicle serviced at Fresno Buick-GMC but after a Phone call I never will. The Temp Gauge Quit working and the Cooling Fan would not shut off with the Engine turned off so I called The Service Dept and told them my problem. I got a quote of $1650.00 plus parts. I am a pretty good backyard Mechanic and so I Googled the problem and it showed that the coolant sensor and the Thermostat should be replaced and it basically showed how to do it. The sensor and the Thermostat are on the front of the engine...all I had to do was flip the Air cleaner out of the way and the took out the sensor and replaced it and the thermostat.....pretty much took 20 minutes and "Less than a $100.00" in parts. I have no idea what their Hourly Labor Rate is but "WOW" so I would say go to an Independent garage. Had a recent disappointing experience. When this was Kitahara Buick GMC, I purchased a car and purchased an oil changes for life contract. Then somebody bought Kitahara. I continued to take my vehicle in for regular service with no issues. Made an appointment for an oil change, still no issues. However upon arrival, Gary the service tech tells me this will be my last service. After disagreeing with him, he became rude and condescending. He rewrote the service ticket to note that I agree I am responsible for any damage. When asked about it, he tells me my vehicle is old and "anything could happen to it." I said yes, but if your mechanic makes an error then I should not be responsible. He refused to change the language. Said I could sign it or reschedule. I opted for reschedule but did not give back the service ticket. As I get into my vehicle to leave, Gary calls me an asshole. I did call General Motors corporate but have had zero follow-up from GM or Fresno Buick. read more

Worst dealership Service, I have ever received from any dealership across the country. Service rep Armin, is a complete scam, along with his manager (short white dude with glasses). First time I went to get my vehicle checked out, they right away tried telling me I needed to get my differential fluid changed... mind you, they had not even jumped into my truck yet! Throughout the time it was being serviced (6 days sitting around on their lot), all that was "done" was an oil change; which I usually pay around $60, some check engine light was reset, and they pushed some buttons around on my audio so it can install updates; I DID NOT RECEIVE EVEN ONE PHONE CALL FROM ARMIN (my service rep) for those 6 days. When it was time to pick up my truck, I got billed a whopping $450 for them to do "diagnostics"........ I had to be calling, leaving voice mails, until they finally went to go look for Armin at his desk so he can pick up the phone, to finally tell me a bs story he made up on the spot. To sum everything up, this dealership is Bullshit, their Service Reps are bullshit, the manager is Bullshit. Stay home instead and keep your car with that screechy noise that's giving you concerns, cause at the end of the day, if you take it here, you'll end up in an even deeper hole than what you found yourself in to begin with. read more

First I will start out by saying everything I will be listing today is documented in writing and available for review. We live approximately one and half hours from Fresno GMC. Having documentation was vital. Our dealings with Fresno GMC started on 6/16/23 on VIN # ending in 1145740 2023 GMC Canyon Denali. On 6/16/23 Fresno GMC provided us a written bid on the Canyon for MSRP plus $995 for LoJack, $995 for 3M, $3000 Markup & $5200 Extended Warranty. We declined this offer and stated we do not believe in paying more than listed MSRP and we will not pay all the other garbage fees. Fresno GMC came back with an offer of MSRP plus $995 for LoJack, $395 for 3M We declined again and stated we do not believe in paying all the garbage fees. The dealership stated they could not remove the LoJack Fee or the 3M because these items were part of the vehicle. On 6/21/23 Fresno GMC called and said they were willing to sell the vehicle at MSRP without any garbage fees, however we had to buy the vehicle today. We requested a written OTD cost with our First Responders Discount in which we provided our Claim Code for the First Responders Rebate. Once we received the written OTD price with the $500 First Responders Rebate we replied with a text message at 10:32am with "Lets do it " we will be at your dealership ON or BEORE 7:30 pm. We provided the dealership with our registration names and copies of our Drivers License and Insurance cards. We sent a text at 10:40am asking Please have the paperwork completed and ready for our signatures. My husband had been at work since 4:30am. He will be tired. The sales person called and said everything will be ready. I asked if the vehicle will be fueled in which his response was "Yes" and Serviced ready for delivery. At 11:18 we texted letting the dealership know that we will need someone to show us tonight how to put the transfer case into Neutral for flat towing. We had a 2017 Canyon and didn't know if it was the same. They responded it "Should be the Same" in which we responded "Please Confirm" also "Confirm by trying it on the truck" At 3:37am the dealership texted and asked us to text them when we are on our way. At 4:02 we responded by text that We had just left our house and headed your way. At 4:06 I texted again Please have our paperwork done and ready for signatures. NOW at 5:35pm within a minute of pulling into the dealership we receive a text from the dealership saying the $500 First Responders Rebate isn't eligible for the New Canyon. Now we are ticked!!! We arrived and clearly showed them on the GM Website that the 2023 GMC Canyon does in fact qualify for the rebate. The dealership did not have our paperwork ready for us. They were just starting it. We asked them to split the Rebate amount since we had driven over an hour an half and if they had completed our paperwork ahead of time which we requested and they agreed we could of addressed this issue before we made the drive in which they responded with a firm "NO" Now while the dealership was suppose to be doing our paperwork I asked to see how the truck went into Neutral for flat towing. All of us went out to the truck and the truck was completely DEAD. The sales person and manager tried multiple power pack jumpers and nothing worked. I recommended taking another battery out of a truck that was sitting next to ours so we could get on the road and grab something for dinner. Finally after an hour and half of trying various things the vehicle finally started. Now during this entire time our paperwork still hadn't been entered into the computer printed and ready for our signatures. The dealership is closed, the vehicle still needed to be fueled up and the truck detailed. The salesperson took the truck to be fueled while we were doing the paperwork but did not have the truck detailed. While doing our paperwork they informed us the second remote didn't work so they gave us a "Due Bill" stating they owed us a new Remote and a new Battery all in which we could get from our local GMC Dealer. We finally left the dealership at 8:50pm for our hour and half drive home without dinner. Fast-forward to the next morning 6/22/23 at 9:23am we noticed up at the top of the drivers side windshield there was a "SnowFlake" in between the glass. The Windshield was delaminating. We sent the dealership a picture in which they responded they think its glue and when could I bring the truck back so they could remove the glue? Really????????? The salesperson called me in which I replied you should be ashamed to ask me to drive roundtrip 3 hours especially after everything we went through the night before and the truck wasn't detailed. If they had detailed the truck they would have noticed the windshield. The salesperson was lost for words as he should be. Also the backup camera was only working intermediately. I have taken pictures of this daily. Needless to say I DO NOT recommend this dealership. read more

Si no take your car to this place, I had horrible experience with my GMC Canyon, first they charge you 150 dollars for the diagnostic, it is too much in my opinion but necessary, I said ok, my problem is my audio system asking for an update and the HMI black Then I had to leave my truck 1 day because they had other cars to work on even when I had an appointment, the next day the service guy did not called to me, I had to call him to ask about the status of my truck, first he said GM recommend a reprogramming but you need a new battery, the life of your battery is 45% and the reprogramming require more voltage, but there is a 1% that this won't fix your problem, then I told him you are charging me for a diagnostic that may or may not work plus a new battery and programming, he just said is just 1% that doesn't work and is what GM recommend, Next day again he never called me, I called him 2 times, he was busy, then like around noon he called me sayin the programming was in progress but should be ready by the end of the day, one hour later he gave me a call telling me it did not work, and the next step is to replace the HMI for 600 plus 180 of installation, and pay the battery and programming and the diagnostic, I just told him men this is not right, why since the begging you did not suggested change the HMI now I have to pay what you guys did so far for nothing and a new HMI, Of course I did not went for the HMI but now I'm still with my problem and 500 dollars less in my pocket, the worst place, never go to this place, I'm not a person that used to do this but they just took money for nothing if there are more places where I can tell my story I will, I hope this help people to not go and spend money for a terrible service read more

I bought a 2020 GMC Terrain, within the first month of having the car. The first new car I have ever owned the AC goes out. It blows hot air when its over 90 degrees outside and you're driving on the freeway. They had my car for close to a month. A few weeks ago, when the temp went up, the exact same thing happened again. I took it back to GMC. I was "dismissed" with Armen telling me that there is nothing wrong with my car. The AC went out a third time. This time Mike Templeton, the manager dismissed me, giving me GMC's corporate number. Well, I'm 3 phone calls in with no resolution in sight. I am so disappointed/disgusted in the lack of respect and accountability. Our brakes went out on our way to a family snow vacation while passing thru Fresno. After being turned down by another dealership who refused to look at our truck because it was "late on a Friday". We went down the road to GMC (which should have been our first stop. We have a 2017 GMC Sierra). Your service rep Harry was so nice to us. We explained our situation and said we were from out of town and what happened. The technician (I didn't get his name) was able to tell us our brake pump went out and needed to be replaced and luckily there was one in stock. They were able to get the job done that same day. I moved to the area shortly after purchasing a Pontiac (a few years ago). Being new to the area, I went to Kitahara for my first few oil changes. The first time was okay other than they tried to get me to buy/add almost everything under the sun to my service tab. The second time, they told me I had issues with my transmission (a new car..by the way) which would cost over $400.00. I spoke with a co-worker who recommended that I take my car for a "second opinion." I did, and found that I simply needed my transmission flushed (a cost of less than $100). Luckily, with time in the area and some good advice, I have found an awesome mechanic (CT Auto Repair), and will NEVER give Kitahara another moment of my time or penny of my money. If I need to go to a Pontiac/GM dealer for any reason, I'll go to Michael Chevrolet for GM, or the former Pontiac dealer in Selma. Dear car dealers..customers are just waiting for you to try to screw us. Once we find out/have reason to believe that you have done so, or that you have tried, you will lose us as customers forever. And by the way..my car has gone nearly 150,000 miles since my last visit there, and my transmission is working just fine...thank you very much! read more

My husband spent 80k on his GMC truck in 2020. It has not started 4 different times. It had to be towed to the dealer. It frequently has notifications show up needing service. Each time the truck goes in to check why he keeps getting notifications appear, the service department keeps it for several days. I have owned a number of cars in my life; an Infinity, a Hyundai and a Lexus. Each dealer has always given me a loaner vehicle while getting service. Any dealer who leaves you stranded without a vehicle is NOT a good one in my opinion. read more

I made an appt &dropped my car off on 7-24-23 to service a check engine light for a P118b code. It should have been a quick&easy fix. Upon dropping my car off for a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, I was told by ARSHAM (the problem), Service Advisor, that it would be TWO TO THREE days before they would even LOOK at my car &give me a diagnostic of what would need to be fixed. 2-3days?! for a scheduled appointment? So my car is sitting for 2-3 days, completely drivable, &I just need to leave it there so you can get to it whenever you feel like it, meanwhile, I'm w/o a car that is just SITTING! He says with a smile, yup, that's how it works. I think he gets pleasure in being rude! He got agitated while making accusations about me &stated very clearly, "what are you going to do about it, you're just a woman, you don't know how it works." Over 24 hrs passed, &I get a call from ARSHAM that my car would be $800-900 to fix. I asked if it was under warranty &he says with pleasure in his voice, nope! I tell him I'll call back. I called GM& the warranty co. &was told by BOTH that my car should be covered STILL under TWO warranties& if ONE didn't cover it, the OTHER would. GM was able to see my ext. warranty in the comp JUST FINE.. so why couldn't ARSHAM see it in THEIR system? So I call back &tell him  &he's a horrible actor.. he says, oh really you have a warranty still, through who.. I tell him& he says oh yea, we deal with them all the time no prob, then asks where I purchased the warranty &I tell him through the DEALERSHIP WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR.. as if he's not looking RIGHT at it in the comp like the GM rep was able to see clearly! He says ok, then tells me that they need to order the part which would take a day or 2 &would be here no later than Th 7-27-23. This is now 4 full days of my car being in the shop, even though it's completely drivable. I don't hear anything back. I call on Monday, 7-31-23 to see what the status of my car is.. dreading having to deal with ARSHAM again since he's rude, incompetent &disrespectful towards women &I luckily end up getting another service emp. who says he can check with the shop &call me back. I get a call back &he immediately apologizes &informs me that the part needed to fix my car was NEVER ORDERED!! My car has been in the shop for a WEEK!! sitting there because ARSHAM INTENTIONALLY didn't put an order in for the part so I would be w/o my car longer! The service guy says that HE just finished this exact same issue on another car Th/Fri, &IT took 3-5 hours worth of labor once the part was rec'd. I asked him, wait, ANOTHER CAR.. came in for the SAME thing &got FIXED &RETURNED?!?! WHEN did THAT car get dropped off if I'm sitting here STILL over a WEEK later w/o MY car, &that 1got dropped off ANY TIME AFTER MINE?!?! You don't think that is completely intentional actions by ARSHAM?! who is responsible for ordering the part through the parts dept?? The guy was quiet for a min &said, he apologized &could only speak for the actual service dept &not for ARSHAM. In other words, he KNOWS that car came in AFTER mine, got fixed &returned BEFORE mine, which solidifies my belief that ARSHAM does this intentionally to f**k w/ppl. I was supposed to get a call back from a mgr, &never got a call back UNTIL after this review was posted. I got a VM from Mike Templeton, Service Mgr stating that I urgently needed to return his call. I returned his call, &he immediately became unhinged &only wanted to talk about my review &NOTHING going on with my car. He called me delusional, while yelling over me the entire time. He hung up on me after telling me that he didn't care one bit about what had transpired with my service experience. He informed me that I'm never allowed back at Fresno Buick GMC &my car was "done." He wouldn't answer any questions about my car &spoke to me in a threatening tone. Due to the phone call with Mike, I asked my retired, elderly father if he could pick my car up, so that I didn't have to wait until the end of the day after work to deal with this nightmare. My father indicated to me that upon his arrival, he was aggressively confronted by Mike, Mgr, who called out the GM, Jarret Marks &at one point Arsham charged at him while yelling derogatory things at my elderly father. He indicated to me that the GM began threatening him, stating that he could beat him up, &ultimately hit him! Physically assaulted my ELDERLY father trying to pick up my car! What's the use in making an appointment to bring your vehicle in for a diagnostic and subsequent repairs a week in advance only to bring the vehicle in at your scheduled appointment time t and have the service department tell you they have to keep it for several days, maybe even up to a week, as that's how long it will take for them to actually get to your vehicle just to do the damn diagnostic! This has happened to me TWICE within two months at Fresno Buick GMC and each time I've had to secure car rental while my car was not only waiting a week at the dealership just to be diagnosed, but kept another 2-3 weeks AFTER diagnosis while the parts are being ordered and the repairs done. No one has the time or the extra money for this kind of expense and apparently Fresno Buick GMC stopped their car loaner program in 2021. Furthermore, mine is an older vehicle that is not under warranty. I've notice the priority with this dealership seems to be with expediting service repairs for the newer vehicles that are still under factory warranty and the reason your older vehicle will have to wait and will be diagnosed and repaired when they are able to get to it. This is just embarrassingly egregious. If you can, take your vehicle somewhere else for repairs otherwise be prepared to pay for car rental for at least a week or two (unless you have access to another vehicle while yours is being repaired). read more

I WOULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE STAR RATING IF I COULD! I had an appointment at 7:00am for recall service and an oil change on my 2017 GMC Sierra. After waiting for 2.5hrs and not hearing anything from the service guy, I ask how much longer? He said your next! I said WHAT!!! They havn't even started on my truck yet!!! I had a 7:00 am appointment, I told them i was waiting. Now your telling me the service techs don't start until 8:00am!!! Okay, why didn't anyone tell me this? Then he said the service techs need to have there temperature taken first, and we have a couple new guys! I said what a lame excuse!!! So after waiting 3Hrs they had not even started on my truck! On Tuesday the 12th I purchased a new pickup from Fresno Buick GMC. During the purchase process I asked the sales rep Jesus Miranda to remove Auto butler which is a ceramic paint protector. Jesus stated "before they put a vehicle in the front lot it's pre applied". When I stated I didn't like the fact that I was not given the option to opt out of purchasing it. Jesus negotiated the price from $1k down to $500. The next day I get a call from Marianna Ituarte their service coordinator to setup an appointment to have Auto Butler applied. I stated to Marianna I was told it was already applied to the vehicle. Marianna confirmed it was not applied prior to putting the vehicle in the front lot. In fact she was calling to setup an appointment to have it applied. To say the least I was floored, I was lied to. I immediately called to speak to someone in management. I left a voicemail on Ibraham Meric's machine. I never received a call back. So I went in the following day in person. Where I was once again lied to by Ibrahim from finance. I told him what I was told by their service advisor. Approximately 30 minutes later they cancelled Auto Butler. I was misled and lied to multiple times. Yes I'm aware that accessories such as extended warranties and paint protection is a way to upsell. But when someone doesn't want it, you shouldn't force them to buy it. I walked into the dealership yesterday July 21 around 4:30 PM 5 o'clock. I was hoping to purchase an SUV, I walked in I was standing in the lobby for approximately 10 minutes and the two guys that were there didn't even greet me or acknowledge that I was there. I gave them a chance so I went out to look at the cars hoping they would come out but still nothing. I ended up leaving horrible customer service. Never pressured me, I told them what I was looking for and 3 day's later Steve called me to let me know it was in. They took me around the facility to show me what happens behind the seens. Let me start this review by saying that my last GMC pick-up dropped the transmission just outside the 36,000 mile warranty and I had to pay over $5,000 out of pockets for a new one. But in 2018 probably against my better judgment I bought a new 2018 from Fresno Buick GMC. I love the truck but a couple of months ago I noticed some hard shifting at lower speeds. I thought maybe I was being hyper sensitive due to my past truck. However within the last couple of weeks both my wife and son have borrowed the truck and mentioned the truck shifting a little funny. So with the truck still under warranty I scheduled an appointment with Fresno Buick GMC to have the transmission diagnosed. I reserved a "rental" as I needed transportation. The day of the appointment I called the service the service department and spoke with "Mike" the Service Manager and asked if it was a rental or a loaner. My belief is that if it's still under warranty I should not pay for a replacement out of my pocket. Feeling reassured I went to FBG for my scheduled appointment. I met with FBG rep Jesus B. who said that transmissions we are 2 weeks out before we can work on it. I then asked about the loaner that I had discussed with Mike the Service Manager. He told me that a rental would be out of my pocket until they verify a transmission issue. Jesus asked "who told you about a car loaner" and when I said your service manager he dropped the conversation. Then Jesus said the best I can do is have someone test drive and verify your issue. BUT if our technician can not verify your transmission issue then it will cost you $150 for our diagnosis. Keep in mind I told Jesus that it was an intermittent shifting issue so driving it around the block won't get me anywhere but paying $150 to have someone drive it for 10 minutes. I'm hoping this encounter will get better so I can update my review but for now 2 Stars is generous for my initial experience with Fresno Buick GMC. UPDATE! Ok so 48 hours later I received a call from the service department and was told The technician had taken my truck for a test drive and could not find any issues. They did ask however that when I had some free time to come to the dealership and do another test drive with the technician. I went as requested for a test drive with the technician. The technician was extremely informative advising me that my truck had a eight speed transmission and explained that at low speeds the transmission could sometimes get caught between down shifts and acceleration creating an unusual shifting experience for the driver. He did reassure me that this was normal and should not damage the powertrain in any way. Feeling reassured with his explanation it was now time to pay for the diagnosis. Expecting to pay $150 as quoted I was surprised when the cashier said $75. Even though my initial experience and conversation with Jesus was disappointing the following meeting with the technician left me feeling much more satisfied regarding my concerns with my truck. read more

Don't bother wasting your time here. They are shady as all get out. Lots of bait and switch especially on the finance side. I put $ down to buy a truck and they purposely messed up the deal to sell it to someone else for more $. They negotiated a deal and would not honor it, I have all the paperwork including their initials and they wanted $5k on top of that price when it was time to do the deal. Found another dealership that is actually treating me right and wants a new customer. Beware, you have been warned. read more
