Update: Reinstalled the DME and had another issue which is common on this vehicle. I was giving a bank 1 vanos code. I did a little research and found that the oil filter was clogged because the piece that holds filter on the cap was broken. This is a common issue on this vehicle. The car runs great now. No Issues. This was not a complicated fix. I still have no faith in Mike and his team. read more

Mike and his crew are the best! We did a complete engine rebuild replacement on my 2005 Porsche 911 and had nothing but problems with the engine(s) from the rebuilder and distributor. Mike became an advocate for me as the engine was not in warranty. Not only did we get the engine replaced with a new rebuilt, but when that engine also had a problem, he made sure to see I was taken care of then as well. This process took 8 months to resolve, and the communication with Mike was superior! We are now up and running! It's been a few years since my first review. I still have the same aged VW that I take to Mike and the gang every so often. Still extremely happy with the service. Must emphasize again that these guys do all they can for a quick turn around, but if you have an old (not just older, but OLD) car like mine, the parts are hard to find, and these guys will either find it and have it shipped, or will makeshift a part that is no longer in stock anywhere. What I just described takes time and effort, so be understanding and patient. I trust Mike and his mechanics 200% with my car and I am so happy they are around to take care of us. I see very new cars at the shop as well, so they are equip to work on all cars of all ages. The shop is busy busy busy, so the appointment may not be right away, but they do their best to accommodate everyone. I don't know these guys personally, but they always have a smile on their faces and have taken care of me and my safety on the road since 2017, so I consider them FAMILY and will continue to support them with my business and referrals. read more

This is my 3rd review of this exceptional shop... The entire staff & technicians operate the business with the highest Integrity and Commitment to Quality. I went in to replace worn bushings & motor mounts... as the work was underway, Siegfried's technicians noticed that the Drive Control Arm was also worn (which was extremely hazardous)... rather than just replace the bushings & motor mounts and have me come in another day to replace the control arms (at additional costly expense) Mike (Owner) recommended keeping the car overnight and completing all repairs at the same time... saving me quite a bit of money. I was visiting Fresno when my check engine and oil pressure warning lights turned on. I tried taking it to the Audi dealer and one other German auto mechanic they were all fully booked and couldn't even see my car. I called up Siegfried's and told me to come in. Even though they were also completely booked they had me bring in my Audi to make sure nothing major was going on with car. Claus helped me out, he hooked my car up to the diagnostics machine as well as did a visual survey and told me what was wrong with my car. Thankfully it wasn't anything major and I could continue to drive it safely back to L.A. to get services there, since they were so busy. I went to Siegfried's this morning to drop my car off for a (pretty expensive) 40 thousand mile service. When I mentioned that my car was a certified pre-owned car, I was told that my service was probably included in my CPO warranty and that I should call Audi. Sure enough... $700 saved because it was covered! Who does that? Although I didn't get my car worked on, I will certainly be back when my service is not covered by Audi! Excellent work and polite service. I recommend this shop for your auto repair needs. My mom's older 1993 BMW (E34) had a starting problem. Turns out it needed a new starter. If anyone is familiar with changing a starter motor on this car, you will know it is sort of a pain to get to since the starter is located underneath the intake manifold. But, the guys at Siegfried's were prompt and charged a very reasonable fee. I had my mom's car towed to their shop, they replaced the starter, and the car was ready the next day. (Every other price quote from other auto shops were higher, and they did not specialize in European cars either.) Note, that Siegfried's seems to be very busy. You will have to make an appointment and I think they want cars to be dropped off at around 8am Monday through Friday. read more

Have to comment again about this incredible auto repair business. Mike has probably saved me at least $1,000. The exhaust warning light on my Touareg refuses to disappear. The diagnosis, a new catalytic converter. That is likely what the Volkswagen dealership would say. Mike however, knew of a software update from Volkswagen UK, and as usual, Mike has now gone the extra mile and performed this for me for the princely sum if $98, the cost of labor. I wish every European car owner in Fresno County could know of this amazing asset in Mike and his team. Your vehicle is likely to outlive you!!! As always, Mike and his team do an outstanding job keeping my VW Touareg roadworthy at a very reasonable cost. With this kind of backup, you can own a second hand vehicle for a long time and have no worries. Siegfried's Motors are the best in the business. 07/21/16 Mike is akin to an experienced Physician - you articulate the symptoms and he knows instinctively what the problem is....and he and his team will get you back on the road toute de suite, at a very competitive price. This time around it's a broken rear drive train shaft (81,000 miles), a common problem with Touaregs and Cayennes. Siegfried's Motors are an outstanding business, period. My 2008 Touareg is back on the road within 24hrs. Rear Drive shaft was replaced quickly (OEM) and at reasonable cost, very competitive. I could not be more happy at this outcome. Quick mention of 'Petros' in reception - he is such a good representative of the company and Mike has chosen well. If you value 'Yelp' and their reviews, I recommend you ignore the recent * - Read Mike's gracious response - he did everything he could to please this customer - (you can 'taste' this disgruntled customer) because myself and the numerous ***** reviewers are ALL recipients of Mike's integrity, honesty and quality work ethic and execution - just read and digest their reviews along with this one. Flooding issues that do afflict VW Touaregs was the latest problem encountered. They reared their ugly head after car wash and rain showers with water seeping through the carpets. Mike & his team put their forensic hats on as always and sourced the problem to faulty plumbing from the moon roof. In addition Mike & Petros outsourced part of the work to 'Eduardo's', a highly regarded upholsterer who stripped down the roof down and together my 2008 Touareg can now 'float' again. The cost was surprisingly affordable, versus a significant outlay for a new moon roof, no doubt the prognosis of many auto repair shops/dealerships, who have no interest in fault finding. With Siegfried's Motors, the analysis can only be the $ amount Mike SAVED you! Yet again Mike from Siegfried's Motors has saved me a ton of $ with his forensic eye for fault finding - thus time it was a leaking Moon roof. Words cannot describe the quality of Siegfried's Motors - I truly believe they are a unique business, one of a kind - if Siegfried's Motors do not exist I could not own and enjoy my 200$ VW Touareg, period. 01/02/17 Siegfried's Motors is a second home for my VW Touareg - this time a new alternator and tensioner was required - I bought the parts which include a refund of the 'old' alternator. As the other reviews state, these gentlemen have a clean shop are more than fair when it comes time to pull out the checkbook. I got some transmission work done on my BMW E60 and was blown away with the customer service and the knowledge of this shop. One of the best experiences I've had going to an indy shop (probably the best). Mike, Claus, Petros are all stand up guys and will take the time to explain/show you any concerns regarding your vehicle. You can grasp the love they have for European vehicles after speaking with them. Prices here are very competitive and much cheaper than going to the dealer. I also had an additional (minor) problem they fixed for me pretty much free of charge. They also detail other findings on the invoice that may need some work in the future. As long as I am in Fresno I will not take my car anywhere else. Also they will order any special parts directly from Europe to tackle the EXACT issue so you won't have to pay any additional money that is not needed.
