Against my Better Judgement I made the Mistake of Trusting A-Tech!?! When they realized that the Grant Allocated for Repairs was $1200.00 they went Bezerk and Replaced Parts that I didn't Authorize! Gave them a 2 star because i got approved for the ac program and went to them. Ac got fixed for 3 and a half months the winter came along and did not use ac. Brought it back in as weather got hotter. Husband is a technician as well but he said its still under warranty so he would not touch it. So i communicated with one of the techs to JUST CHECK what the issue was. They claimed it was the compressor. Tried to charge me on diagnosing the issue but they did nothing else. My husband worked at different dealerships and autoshops; he's never charged anyone on diagnosing an issue before actually working on the car. Let alone over $150 (not the specific amount but it was over) it was too ridiculous, so we left after going back and forth about not paying. He checked anything related to the ac and only replaced the actuator since compressor was indeed still running!! Something they tried charging over 1k turned out to be only $60 read more

Didn't need the diagnostic since I figured out what was going on, on my own - was going to charge me $600 for labor for install, no warranty. Went in to get est. Put a 383stoker 11:1 30^ crate engine in my 77 Camaro..they scowled and said they could take my 350 5.7 and get better performance for the same or around same cost.. WELL 3 months and over 15,000 $Thousand Dollars it had to be towed home after 3 miles. What good is a warranty on something that doesn't work? Very impressed by the care and concern they showed for my vehicle. My car was throwing a code for the knock sensor. I was given the option for them to just do the work I requested or to have them do an evaluation. I chose to have them do the evaluation. They spend a good amount of time and effort making sure they get everything checked out when doing the evaluation and estimate. They also spent a good amount of time checking the work they did to make sure everything was working properly. Not only did they replace the knock sensor but also the two gaskets in the area of the motor that was opened up to access the sensor. Yes, they were a little expensive but I feel very satisfied with the work that was done and the service I received. read more

I always walk in & am greeted with a smile (probably because I'm a frequent flyer there) and they always ask if I would like a ride back to my house while they work on the car. Communication is very clear and is a strong suit that I like in a company. They are always transparent and will give me the price breakdown & quotes before starting on the car, so there's never any jump scares when it comes to the total. Don't go here for anything, this guy is a weasel, took my car to get worked on he told me my timing chain was worn and needed to be replaced, he had my car for two days and supposedly fix the problem drove 50 miles and my car started acting up again took it back and he told me he only changed the crankshaft and camshaft sensors and still needed to do the timing chain and was going to be another 1500$, so 1500$ for both sensors is crazy and lied about what he fixed in the first place, I'm looking into small claims court read more

I have Maxcare coverage and the owner ended up over charging me $400 when the total was only suppose to be $50. I contacted maxcare and they told me i shouldnt have had to pay that much because my deductibles only $50. I tell the owner the maxcare associate wants to talk to him. The owner ends up telling the assoiciate of Maxcare he made some errors in the numbers and that he would give me my refund right now. The owner then gets mad at me because he has to refund the money that he overcharges me. I would not recommend. If you must come here the only decent one was a black guy named Tommy. Avoid owner at all cost. Also had to take my car back twice since the job wasnt done right the first time. read more

My car had a severe transmission issue and wasn't to sure where to take it to. I opened up yelp to see what is my options. I called around a few places in town but was giving outrage prices. I messaged a-tech auto through yelp and a few other places but this place was first to respond to my message and gave me a instant quote quicker then the other places that I had message. A-tech quote was 1 to 2 thousand dollars cheaper then the other places. The day after I towed my car in for an diagnosis and the service writer Ramon was quick to help me get a some questions answered. Ramon seems very knowledgeable and professional. After the diagnosis, it was determined that my transmission was no good. Ramon gave me a few options on what can be done. I choose to rebuild the transmission due to a new one being too long of a wait for get it done. My vehicle was in this shop for roughly 9 days and through those times in the shop, Ramon gave me updates on how the repair was going and when it may be ready. This shop is highly recommended through their professionalism and honest work. Now I worked in the car business for over 27 years and can pick up valve cover gaskets from Amazon or Ebay and locally for any where between $17 - $45. Apparently he thinks that he can take unfair advantage of customers. What's next muffler bearings or rotating the air in the tires. He should be looked into for business practices. It's not often that you get good service, fast service and reasonably affordable service at the same time. I was on a road trip in an old van that had not been running in years. We had everything filled up and topped off before we left LA and by the time we got to Bakersfield the van was over heating and we had used a lot of coolant. We let the vehicle cool down, filled the coolant back up and made our way to Fresno, at a slower more gentle place. I called A-Tech just before closing and explained that we were driving the next morning but wanted to make sure there were no leaks. They normally work on an appointment basis but Tommy said to bring it in. The next morning we brought the car in, they looked at it immediately and determined we had a leak in the radiator. The recommendation was to replace it and Willy said they could get the part in about twenty minutes and get everything done in probably in a couple hours. It was reasonable but we were just driving the car to its destination to get rid of it and I only needed to be able to make it around 1200 miles. Having not worked since March I was torn between what to do so I had a great heart centered chat with Luis (the mechanics) and he offered an alternate solution and some amazing life advice. My husband didn't want to worry about checking the fluid levels every stop and so we decided to go for it. Tommy drove us to a Denny's a couple miles away. We had breakfast, called a local friend to pick us up in case we had to wait another hour or two but decided to drive by the shop as we had some perishables and didn't want them sitting in the heat. When we got back, we didn't see the van in the bay .. so we walked towards the office and Luis pulled up in the van. It was already done and he was just test driving it! Willy wanted to make sure that since we had to get on the road it was done quickly. So we got good service, very fast and completely reasonable for what was done ... all with an amazing human connection which is what I think we can all use more or right now. Took my ford mustang gt in for a spark plug replacement because of all the positive reviews. I was quoted $200 parts and labor. Set an appointment and took my car in. An hour later got a called and said that it's not $200 anymore, more like $510 because my car uses special plugs(cost $28 each) and additional labor for removing fuel injectors in order to get to the plugs. No thanks, went and pick up my car. Came home called local Ford dealer and was quoted $375 to do the same job. Went online and found the exact plugs ranging from $9-13 each. Not so sure why so many positive reviews for this place. read more
