They are really great there. The place is huge clean and the dogs are well taken care of, but of course they always need help and donations.

I have been wanting to adopt a second dog for a while now. I follow Fresno Bully Rescue on Instagram and saw two puppies on their page (Bean and Salem). I filled out an application and put both their names on the paperwork. I received a phone call from Terese the next day. We spoke for about 30 minutes, it felt I had known her my whole life! She was wonderful and you can tell she loves what she does. Salem was the puppy available because Bean had a potential adopter. She was able to accommodate my crazy schedule and did the home visit over Zoom with my adult daughter. Two days later I was ready to pick up our new puppy. I drove from Manteca to Fresno and got to the facility a little early (thank goodness because Waze took me to their old location). I met some of the staff/volunteers and got a quick tour. Everyone was nice and welcoming. The dogs have it made; the facility is gorgeous. Everything was clean and well maintained. After about 20 minutes, the foster came with Bean (now Ace). WOOPS! It was an honest mistake and actually I fell in love with him. He was available and I decided he would be our new family member. I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason, Bean was the original puppy both my daughters loved from the posting. He has settled in nicely with our family and completed our home. Our 1-year-old pitty Bonnie loves her new brother. I appreciated the process to adopt and how thorough they are. PitBull Heaven!!!! I live up in Oregon and volunteer three days a week for the Oregon Humane Society! I've fallen in love with the breed! I've been following FBR on FB and Instagram for almost a year! They do an amazing job of posting daily information! It keeps me hooked! So, I had to check them out when I was home for a visit. They do an excellent job of representing a positive image for the bread! These people all have full time jobs and volunteer at FBR! Bridgett and Tiffany were super accommodating! I had been in contact with them sending emails and FB posts stating I was super excited to check them out! When I arrived last week they did an impromptu volunteer training for me! So, I can walk pitties whenever I'm in Fresno! It was so nice of them! They're located in a great secluded spot near a picturesque almond orchard! They house about 45 bully breed dogs at a time and adopt out about 10 dogs a month! These people deserve a lot of credit for all the work they for the breed! Working with limited funds is challenging! I would spend all my time here if I lived in Fresno! read more

This place is such a JOKE!!!! My best friend and her family had their dog picked up by them and gave them the run around, not directly answering all their questions, all for what?? To tell them In the end that they will not be able to Adopt their dog back?!!!! Bullshit!! They want to give these dogs loving homes right? Well their dog Jax, which is his real Name, has a LOVING home and they are denying my friend to be able to get him back. All because of some misunderstanding. I never like to give anyone a bad review, but as a family that was so excited to look for our 1st dog I'm extremely disappointed. We visited the site in person in Fresno Ca back in late May this year, and the employees were great, showed us around the facility and we even spent time with one of the dogs (daffodil). We were encouraged to fill out an application and were told someone would get back to us. Well we did and haven't heard one word in response. We sent messages via Instagram, called, and sent a couple of emails with no response. read more

If you and you're family want a great dog and an education about "bully" breeds, this is the place. The volunteers that work at FBR deserve to be commended. FBR goes out in the community to educate kids, businesses, the general public. FBR also holds special events and booths at various locations (county fairs, fire stations, community events, Woodward Park, etc) throughout the valley. I went here yesterday with a friend who is looking for a new dog. He looked at the website first and was interested in a paticular dog. He called and asked if the dog was still there and he was told yes. So we headed over to the rescue to see the dog. When we got there we asked to see the dog and were told the dog wasnt available. That she was going home with someone else today. WTF!!!! We were told that there were several other dogs we could look at. We felt like they just told us that to get us down there, instead of just saying that dog was no longer available....... We felt lied too..... Now, the place was clean, and they do a great thing for all the dogs. I hope in the future they get their customer service skills headed in a better direction. read more

We adopted our beautiful and loving Diego from Fresno Bully Rescue. They truly love the bully's that they rescue. We are so blessed with our puppy. He truly is a family member. He is able to break the barriers of race, and gender. Strangers will come up to us to meet and pet him. He has brought so much love and happiness to our lives. He had 2 acres to run around and frolic. You can tell how healthy he is. Very loved dog. And these ass holes will not give him back. Even after the rightful owners are willing to pay there $175 adoption fee and get the dog chipped. We are in the process of seeking legal action. read more

We got our dog from the Bully Rescue almost a year ago. She is the BEST dog. We love her so much. I have to say I was very scared because you always hear stories about pit bulls. They have always scared me because they look so mean. They are like any other dog. It all depends on how they are raised and treated. I am so happy we took a chance. Our dog is so loving and playful with our kids. She has never tried to bite. If you are looking for a dog please give these animals a chance. I also like how there is a fenced in area so you can see how your family is with the dog. You can also take a dog home to make sure it's a good fit with your family. We found a puppy at the SPCA, but after seeing the dogs at the Bully Rescue we decided that the puppy would probably get adopted fast and the older dogs wouldn't. I love volunteering as a dog walker when I can. I don't really fit in with the staff here, but I love the dogs. I know it's selfish of me to say, but it's been great for my emotional and physical health. Dogs just somehow make everything immediately better, even if it's just a few hours a week. I'm not at a place in my life where I can own a dog, so volunteering here is a great alternative for anyone in a similar situation :) I would highly recommend signing up for and attending the volunteer training Saturday, it's very informative and you can start volunteering right away after attending! read more

Agh I LOVE this place! They do so much good for the bully breeds and community awareness. The bully walks are a huge hit I love take my babies out to walk will all the others and it's always so well controlled. They do a really good job matching dogs with potential new homes. I've fostered for them and they thoroughly check out the home and the people interested and know exactly what dog would fit what they're looking for. The shelter is pretty big too they have so many dogs, kudos to the people getting out and walking them on the days their open!! read more

I can't say enough about how wonderful Fresno Bully Rescue was with the adoption of my boyfriends dog. From start to finish they wanted to make sure it was a good match all the way around. We adopted Lulu (American Bull dog) whom had been return a few times to the rescue which they were very forth coming on why and all their knowledge of possible issues for her. From the first phone call, our first visit to the rescue's location and the home check it shone through that these folks really care about these dogs. I'm proud to say that Lulu is thriving and her new daddy is still absolutely in love with her and over the moon. We will be skipping x-mas gifts this year in order to try and make a decent donation to these wonderful humans. Thanks again for not giving up on Lulu or the many other dogs you care for.
