We adopted our second dog from the Fresno Bully rescue and they were nothing but professional. The adoption process was straightforward and all of our interactions have been wonderful. It's amazing that anyone is leaving these bad reviews for an organization that does so much to help the mistreatment and reputation of pit bulls.

PitBull Heaven!!!! I live up in Oregon and volunteer three days a week for the Oregon Humane Society! I've fallen in love with the breed! I've been following FBR on FB and Instagram for almost a year! They do an amazing job of posting daily information! It keeps me hooked! So, I had to check them out when I was home for a visit. They do an excellent job of representing a positive image for the bread! These people all have full time jobs and volunteer at FBR! Bridgett and Tiffany were super accommodating! I had been in contact with them sending emails and FB posts stating I was super excited to check them out! When I arrived last week they did an impromptu volunteer training for me! So, I can walk pitties whenever I'm in Fresno! It was so nice of them! They're located in a great secluded spot near a picturesque almond orchard! They house about 45 bully breed dogs at a time and adopt out about 10 dogs a month! These people deserve a lot of credit for all the work they for the breed! Working with limited funds is challenging! I would spend all my time here if I lived in Fresno!

My awesome dog Cosmo I adopted at FBR!

Great no kill shelter! The place is clean and well run. I love going there and walking dogs! Makes me feel good and I am helping out!! I ended up adopting an older dog Cosmo from here! I LOVE HIM! Best dog ever! So happy I found this place and I now have the best dog in the world! I will keep going and helping out!!

We adopted our beautiful and loving Diego from Fresno Bully Rescue. They truly love the bully's that they rescue. We are so blessed with our puppy. He truly is a family member. He is able to break the barriers of race, and gender. Strangers will come up to us to meet and pet him. He has brought so much love and happiness to our lives. Thank God there are people who care about this loving and affectionate breed. They are so wonderful with children. My 3 year old nephew says Diego is his best friend. They're like two peas in a pod.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Fresno Bully Rescue was with the adoption of my boyfriends dog. From start to finish they wanted to make sure it was a good match all the way around. We adopted Lulu (American Bull dog) whom had been return a few times to the rescue which they were very forth coming on why and all their knowledge of possible issues for her. From the first phone call, our first visit to the rescue's location and the home check it shone through that these folks really care about these dogs. I'm proud to say that Lulu is thriving and her new daddy is still absolutely in love with her and over the moon. We will be skipping x-mas gifts this year in order to try and make a decent donation to these wonderful humans. Thanks again for not giving up on Lulu or the many other dogs you care for. Know you've made a dramatic difference in our families pack. Much love the you folks.

They are really great there. The place is huge clean and the dogs are well taken care of, but of course they always need help and donations.

They strictly abide by these rules. I can only comment on the services that I use here. I've received vouchers in the past and gotten animals fixed for $30. If I foster, I will come here and get them assessed, dewormed, vaccinated along with flea and tick preventative. This is free of cost since I'm taking the responsibility of fostering instead of leaving them there at the shelter. They also offer me free food but I decline so it can go to someone who really needs it. Foot traffic varies. I've been here half a day or sometimes it takes no time at all. They make it very clear to people who surrender and drop off that the animal is at risk of euthanasia. They are always at critical capacity so if you are looking for a companion I always encourage to adopt and not shop or alternatively, fill out their foster application as they are always looking for foster ppl to save more animals and all supplies are provided.

Formal Complaint Regarding Adoption Practices and Customer Service…read more I am writing to express serious concerns regarding my experience with The Cat House on the Kings and what appears to be a recurring pattern reported by numerous prospective adopters. As a licensed healthcare professional and long-time pet owner, I approached the adoption process with the sincere intention of providing a loving and permanent home to an animal in need. My household currently includes two cats and one dog, all of whom have been successfully integrated and receive exceptional veterinary care, attention, and financial support. I own my home, have ample space, and possess both the resources and experience necessary to responsibly care for additional animals. Over multiple adoption applications, I have repeatedly encountered a process that lacks transparency, meaningful communication, and individualized evaluation. While I understand and support the need for careful adoption screening, the manner in which applications appear to be handled raises legitimate concerns. Specifically, I have experienced: * Repeated denials with little to no substantive explanation regarding the reasons for rejection. * Generic responses that provide minimal insight into how decisions were reached or what applicants could improve in future applications. * Policies preventing reapplication for six months, despite the absence of meaningful feedback or guidance. * Limited opportunities for applicants to discuss concerns or receive clarification regarding adoption decisions. * Customer service interactions that felt dismissive and rushed, leaving prospective adopters feeling undervalued despite their genuine interest in providing homes for animals. I also find it concerning that while the organization regularly solicits donations and public support, many qualified prospective adopters report feeling excluded from the adoption process without a clear understanding of why. Numerous public reviews across multiple platforms appear to describe similar experiences involving communication concerns, unexplained denials, and frustration with the overall process. My concern is not solely for myself. Rather, it is for the many individuals and families who invest significant time, emotional energy, and hope into adopting an animal, only to receive vague responses and little opportunity for constructive dialogue. Animal rescue organizations play a critical role in the community, and with that role comes a responsibility to operate with professionalism, transparency, and respect toward the public they serve. I believe prospective adopters deserve: * Clear communication regarding adoption criteria. * Meaningful explanations when applications are denied. * Respectful and professional customer service. * Educational resources and guidance to help applicants become stronger candidates. * A transparent process that allows applicants to understand how decisions are made. This complaint is not intended to diminish the important work of rescuing animals. Rather, it is intended to encourage accountability, improved communication, and a more professional adoption experience for future applicants. I respectfully request that leadership review their adoption procedures, communication practices, and customer service standards to ensure that qualified individuals are evaluated fairly and treated with the professionalism and respect they deserve.
