Office personnel was very polite and kind. Unfortunately the type and quality of care was horrible. My mother was there all of 3 months and in that time she was hospitalized 2 times and at one point had a black eye, then her finger was smashed and bleeding and all staff had no idea what happened. After my Mom was removed they changed all the staff in that home. Hmmm, It makes you think why? Sorry I would not take my family member there. read more

I found FGH as our second option...... didn't know any better! My Father was in what I was told was a "great place, with great people who will take care of your Father". They did none of that BUT they kept increasing the monthly costs. IT was a must that I get my Father somewhere that ACTUALLY cared and knew what they were doing...... that place is Fresno Guest Homes. They are professional without being stiff or cold. They care and work with the family to lessen the emotions & feelings of obtaining care for a family member. Going from.... my Father being 1 of 24 other residents to 1 of 6 at FGH was a huge game changer. Food is great, the house is great, the staff is great...... Our father needed assisted living care at the age of 86 and lived here until he passed recently. From the moment I spoke to Angela in 2020, we felt a peace of mind that he'd be safe, well cared for and loved in his new Fresno home. Angela guided me through the process and remained easily accessible and hands on, at all times even when she hired a new Executive Administrator, Teresa, who is equally accessible and wonderful. Because the arrangement is a smaller residential home, the amount of 24/7 care and supervision is extraordinary. From arranging Dr appointments, haircuts...and eventually hospice care, they worked closely with us as a team. The homes are in very nice residential neighborhoods, and the staff are lovely, caring people. We couldn't have imagined a better place for him (and us), given the four hour distance in between. As far as I am concerned, Angela and her team of care giving angels are a God send! My Bonus Dad (step father) landed in the hospital and upon release was unable to return to his home. I had no idea what to do or even where to start looking for a placement. On top of that, there was no plan or money for placement in an assisted living situation. I was put in touch Angela and all my fears were relieved. Since, that day, I have watched my Dad flourish and be the happy person I know. This past I was plagued with several surgeries and illnesses. I had the peace of mind to concentrate on myself and getting well. I knew my Dad was being cared for and had the attention he needed at FGH. I would highly recommend FGH. read more

I went there for 20 days of rehab. The PTs and OTs were excellent. I had a fractured hip. With their help, I walked 18 feet at the beginning and did 592 feet when I left. My mother seems to just keep going into the hospital, then she comes home for a bit, then back she goes???? Gotta get this part right at least. I am trying to plan a wedding and this is just impossible! When do people get to get married again where they want to get married or do we all just have to go downtown still to get married? None of this makes any sense to me...... My parents live in one of the richest neighborhoods in town and I still can't get anyone to take care of them at home??????? Both my Mother and Father spent several years in Fresno Guest Homes. My Mother having Dimentia and Alheimers had was in need of extra care which she received from a caring and professional staff starting with the owners, to the doctors, nurses and care givers. My father being mostly bed ridden received the same professional and thoughtful care. I am grateful My parents had such a facility to available to them. We found Fresno Guest Homes when searching for a board and care facility for our 88 year old mom when she could no longer live on her own. She went on to live there for a year and a half before she passed. She had fantastic house mates and the nursing staff and administration were first rate. The set up of the home provided daily social interaction with her house mates instead of being cooped up in a room all day. This greatly improved her quality of life. Angela and George were always readily available to answer questions and kept us informed of our mom's condition and any changes in her needs. This was especially important when Covid-19 restrictions wouldn't allow us to visit mom in person. We cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

My grandmother lived in one of their homes for six years prior to her passing this past weekend just seven days before her 100th birthday. I could not have asked for better care for her. They provided the necessary care but also did their best to respect her dignity and allow her as much independence as she could safely maintain. As her level of need changed, so did their service. I had the privilege of watching the staff care for her on many occasions and she was treated like family. As she approached the end of her life, they coordinated with hospice to provide her with a peaceful and dignified ending to a life well lived. All the years she resided with them, they were in contact with me about every relevant issue and I was never kept in the dark regarding her care or treatment. Administrator Angela Kutnerian was aptly named, because she truly was an angel in my grandmother's final days when I was afraid and emotional and overwhelmed by my circumstances. Even going so far as to reach out to me after my grandmother's passing to see how I was doing. You will not do better for your family member than placing them with FGH. read more

10 stars! My father, who lived with Parkinson's Disease for more than 20 years, stayed at Fresno Guest Homes during the last 2 years of his life. I felt so relieved knowing that he was in their daily care. Having experienced other facilities during rehabilitation periods, it was when he was at FGH that we knew he was getting his scheduled medications on time and consistently. We felt confident that they were paying close attention to changes in his health and would notify us as needed. Plus, he was living in a home with just 5 other people where they all ate home cooked meals around the table together. It provided a sense of community and social interaction that he wasn't getting when he was being cared for at home. Not only do Nancy, Angela, and George provide wonderful, home-like facilities that are clean, organized, and with caring staff, they also have extensive knowledge of the health care systems. They offered compassion, information, and reassurance in what was an unfamiliar and often overwhelming world of health care navigation. During an incredibly intense time for us, they were available any time we needed to consult regarding potential options. They were literally a lifeline to my father during a difficult experience within the health care system. I am forever grateful for the love and advocacy they gave to my father and to my family. Like many families with aging parents, we found ourselves on very short notice in need of 24/7 assisted living. Overnight, our 90+ year-old mother went from independent living to needing in home boarding care. We searched many senior sites, toured many homes and were very discouraged by the conditions. The owners and administrators, Nancy, Angela and George are very involved with the families, with very timely communication, follow up and guidance. Their decades of experience were tremendously valuable in alerting us to changing needs and medical conditions, so that we could stay on top of our mother's condition when working with medical professionals. They helped us cut through the red tape to work with a very reputable hospice service that quickly jumped into very compassionate and timely action. Despite managing many homes, Nancy dedicated 100% of her time to my mother over the days of hospice, working through the night and monitoring her conditions several times an hour. She partnered with the hospice service to maintain the round the clock updates. They truly treated our mother and her children as family. Some of us children visited each day, while others of us living out of town visited each weekend. Whether in person or over the phone we saw first hand how well she was cared for. Fresno Guest Homes provided the partnership our family needed, while providing compassionate care for our mother.
