Went to visit my mother and fathers grave site on July 28th, 2026 to leave some flowers. They have side by side plots. Was appalled to find how terrible the grounds are kept. Long grass clippings everywhere, along with lots of weeds. Ground subsidence, erosion with puddling of standing water on the headstone. Worst of all, the metal vase was missing from the headstone receptacle. I had to place the flowers in the hole in the headstone. Very sad. Unfortunately, my wife and I already have our pre-paid plots at this very same cemetery. Really unkempt. Not good. read more

so first off let me say that near section marker 376, there was excess water with mud erosion and nutritious headstones were covered. The gardeners were quick to clear the mud and apologized. The office staff were extremely helpful when the wheels of a walker needed to be cleaned from mud and debris. I would like to say thank you to all for your kindness. read more

Every time we go to leave flowers at my parents grave, I am saddened by how unkept the grounds are! Grass not mowed, dry areas , mosquitoes and dead flowers not thrown away! Grass growing over the grave stones! What a shame that our parents and other families paid for up keep! It took over two years to get flowers vases replaced. This cemetery has been going downhill! My Mother passed away earlier this month. I had pre-paid a niche for her many years ago. I didn't know what to expect in terms of service because it was pre-paid so many years ago. I called them and they informed me that a complimentary graveside service was part of the package we had purchased. I met with Joann and she was so kind and nice to deal with. She walked me through everything in such a kind and respectful way. The day of the service everything was set up beautifully in front of the Last Supper Wall. The attendant there was so sweet and kind. I can't remember her name but she was the best. She very descretely stayed in the backround in case we needed anything. Everything was perfect. If you truly love your loved ones, you wouldn't bring them here to rest. My family made the biggest mistake coming to bring our momma to lay here. So far this place has been hell on earth, gardeners destroy everything in their path, we take it up to the front office and then the staff try to blame it on people vandalizing our decor which isn't true, the gardeners admitted that they had destroyed our decor for our moms grave and ended up replacing it with some cheap plastic cone that had no significance to our stone, all her grandchildren had signed a stone in memory of her and they tossed that to, also a photo of our momma we placed near her stone they tossed that too !!!!, this place is a nightmare please if you care about you're loved ones I beg you don't make the mistake my family made this place needs to be removed it's a joke , if you don't believe in any afterlife that's on you but you'll soon realize after bringing your loved one here that hell does exists. read more

How dare your gardeners after Wednesday as I fixed up my in-laws headstone on Thursday, come back today and it is destroyed everything that I have set up from Mother's Day. Her little pink purse, and her flowers were all twisted around trash. It all on their headstone other peoples headstones are all messed up there's trash everywhere and if you guys did the yard service why is everything still a mess and why are you guys purposely destroying stuff people put out here for Mother's Day, and have no consideration that it took time and whatever to fix peoples headstones up and your gardeners just go over here like it were, nothing and just destroy it and destroy the headstones and destroy all the decorations on peoples plaques out here There is so much trash on the headstone. This cemetery doesn't even deserve a one star. I would warn others to not have their loved one laid to rest here unless you want your loved one to be buried in the wrong plot! We had a tour with Anthony Family Consultant and chose the final resting place for our beloved Mother. In our culture, we dedicate very careful thoughts into choosing the final resting place for our loved one. We completed the contract and found out on burial day that the WRONG PLOT was dug for our Mother. The plot number on the contract matches with the plot that was dug but it was NOT what we chose when we were physically on the cemetery grounds with Anthony. Anthony tried to refute this and later acknowledged his mistake and apologized, "it's only five feet away" from the plot we originally chose. This cold, heartless, and incompassionate statement still echos with our family. Due to our religion, we had to move forward with burying our Mother even if it wasn't the plot we wanted. We were issued a "discount" but this doesn't remedy their negligence and the incompetency of their staff to not be familiar with the plot numbers and plot availability. Not only did the cemetery fail us, it brought unnecessary and immeasurable heartache to an already grief stricken family. Maybe until the staff at the cemetery find themselves in our shoes will they understand our heartache and have some empathy. I would NEVER bring any business back to them and would discourage any one to have their loved one laid to rest there. read more

I went to visit my loved one 4/13/21 and got to the gate at 7 pm and the gates were closed and locked. There was another gentleman ahead of me and he was wondering the same thing too. He expressed to me that he had been here other times around this time and the gates were not closed. The hours posted at their gate are as follows: Winter 8 am to 5 pm and Summer 8am to 8 pm. Their website hours states they are open 24 hours, however I have tried calling them at different dates and times after hours and no one answers which means they are not open 24 hours and is falsely advertising something they can't deliver. A week ago, I arrived about 7:10 pm and the gates were opened which complies with what the hours listed at the gates stated. I have also arrived after 5 pm and the gates are still opened. This previous Sunday, my family visited again the gates were not closed, but according to the hours on Facebook, it states that they are closed on Sundays. I spoke to Aunna, the general Manager and she tried to explained to me that because of COVID-19, their hours may change, because they contract with a 3rd party and they may have to lock the gates earlier, also that their hours are updated daily on their Facebook page, etc. I told Aunna that my concern is not about their hours changing and that I understand the entire CDC guidelines as I am in the healthcare industry. My concern is that if their hours change, they need to update the hours at the gates, on their facebook page, and on their website because as of now, their facebook hours are 8-5 M-F, 9-4 (Sat) and closed on Sundays. I told her that all different sites have different hours which are all conflicting and if it was fluid, then I wouldn't have this issue. Aunna seemed annoyed with me and was not very professional as she hung up quickly. It seems a lot of other people have had problems with their gates being closed and locked as well while reading the reviews. My son was buried out here 2 years ago it has been an awful experience Everytime any family member leaves flowers in the provided vase for my son the landscapers throw them away. Whenever anyone is buried near him his flowers are automatically thrown away. It's too bad to have to replace silk flowers monthly. I would never recommend this cemetery. Over the past 2 years I've been in the office I can't tell you how many times complaining about the flowers being thrown away and no one cared. Once I posted it on Yelp now they suddenly pretend to care. They have put their own flowers out that they picked out and reassured us their flowers would not be thrown away. It feels like more of an insult why can't my son have flowers that our family leave. While I should be grieving the death of my mom, I'm getting text/emails/calls from Kimberly. We had an appointment on 2/3 the funeral is on 2/8 that she cancelled then started rushing me to sign the forms needed for the funeral. I told her she shouldn't have canceled and everything would have been taken care of. Today 2/7/24 the day before the funeral,she stated she emailed me but got my email wrong. She's been saying this for three days now. Then I get a voicemail from Stacy who wanted to continually talk about getting my email wrong, after two times of me telling her I obviously know my email was wrong I told her I was going to hang up if she kept talking about it. Again this is literally the day before the funeral. Stacy says sarcastically, " ok have a good day bye." Then the email finally comes through but the link is broken. The day of the funeral(I know it had been raining prior) but no effort was given in cleaning the metal that was holding up the casket. The green mats they laid out were covered in dirt, exposed wood under the casket. The chairs had mud on them. Overall it was beyond disrespectful. This guy drove by and saw us putting items away to our car. After spending a couple hours with my god daughter. Then drove out and locked the gates BEFORE 7pm!!! And drove away and took a very Long time to return to let us out. He has a responsibility to lock up at 7pm EXACTLY. We were at the gate at 7:52pm. Our family purchased a headstone from a third party vendor and had it delivered over a month ago. We paid the cemetery a substantial amount for the mounting of the headstone several months ago. While I understand that this may not be priority for them, I think it is reasonable to expect an estimated time of completion. I mean, if you go to a restaurant and there is a wait, they tell you how long you should expect to wait. Its the same if you take your car in for a repair or service, you get an estimate. It may not always be accurate, but at least one has an idea. I think its a very reasonable request and we have a difficult time understand why its not possible to get an estimate. Furthermore, we have a lot of family at this cemetery, and as much as we would like to continue using Fresno Memorial Gardens, they are making it difficult to justify. read more

This is an area of Fresno that I didn't really know existed. My fathers parents are buried here. I'd avoided this for years now and when I was visiting recently, my mother made me take the drive out to see their resting places. How does one rate a cemetery? I dont think Im doing that so much as just laying down words. My grandfather passed when I was very young. I didn't meet my grandmother until I was bit older but didnt know her all that well, and she passed when I left for college. For many years I'd not thought about these things. When we got to the site, it was a bit surreal, and then at one moment, it hit me like a brick. All this emotion took over. It was overwhelming and I couldn't control how sad I was. It's crazy how sometimes things that are small moments in time can affect you in such a dramatic way. read more

After my previous negative review the family services manager Lucas reached out to my regarding my dissatisfaction. He has since rectified the situation regarding my mom and is waiving the extra $820.00 fee regarding the timeliness of her burial. They are now burying her ASAP and it is allowing me to put this behind me and grieve accordingly. I appreciate the fact that Lucas listened to my concerns and made this right. Each year they sponsor the entire event, work with volunteers to put up the Family Donated U.S. Flags of their Veteran Loved ones and display over 1,400 American Flags lining the streets. Where do I start..... After the heartache of losing a loved one, the heartache continues while having to deal with the employees at Fresno Memorial. The practices they have here are fishy. Wanting to get a plot for our loved 1, I thought 9g was a little much be we decided to settle because booking an app at other cemeteries were difficult at the time. When we went to look at a headstone at Fresno memorial they wanted 12g for a basic headstone and a 700 setting fee, during the app the 2 sales man said it would be no problem that we were there for the install. With them only allowing 5 family members for the burial, we wanted to have the Family there for the setting of the headstone. We decided to go with another business and had to wait a year before the stone was finished due to shipping issues because of covid. Now, with everything finally done, Fresno Memorial now says that they have bumped their setting fee to $915 and do not allow family members to be present while setting? We have called and emailed Fresno Memorial countless times about this, and we get different answers all the time. 1 employee will tell you yes, you can be there another will say no. We just want to know when they are going to set our sister's stone and why we can't be there, and no one seems to know anything getting different information every time. The staff seems not to know anything. I'm so heartbroken not to be able to be there while they set my sister's stone. With all the restrictions of covid being lifted and it being outside, I just don't understand....... read more

Just wish I would not have ben so stricken by grief when I decided on this place. You pay so much for the space and the marker with a vase but yet they clean up the things you have put there for your loved ones and yet the rules they clean everything up four times a year and if there is a funeral service near by so folks dont trip over you loved ones things in the vase.... I just dont think it is appropriate they do this .. It is heart breaking... Leave it alone We've paid for that spot. Things have been removed several time upon my return to visit. It is sad they dont have any concerns about this... I've visited my grandma in Clovis and they dont do this they let the family members care for the spot of their love ones.... At one of the most difficult time for family and friends to go through we are now being told that only 15 people can attend the graveside service of our beloved. We as family and friends understand this is an unusual time we are all going through. Safety and wellness is also our concern. But when you can go to bars and restaurants and sit outside why hasn't Fresno Memorial adjusted their "rules" for services. I believe in speaking with the staff that they have found it makes their job easier to limit the people. They literally lock the gates during a service. So people are standing outside the gates in groups mourning their beloved. By the way the viewing at Chapel of Light, which is inside is not as restricted. I would hope and wish that Fresno Memorial would take a look at their restrictions and make adjustments to this policy so that people can mourn properly. For our mental health and closure we all need. We need to say a proper goodbye. read more

My experience with Fresno Memorial Gardens was absolutely a cautionary tale. My Dad recently passed and we had wanted to bury him at Fresno Memorial with other family members. No level of management was willing to provide us with information we asked for or needed; specifically we asked for a price list for services (i.e., vault, opening/closing fees, etc.) and were never provided one. The prices we were quoted ended up being nearly twice the cost of other local cemeteries and no explanation was ever provided as to why. Fresno Memorial Gardens is owned by Dignity Memorial/ SCI Management, L.P. We made several attempts to contact them about our difficulties with Fresno Memorial Gardens and never heard back. At a time of family crisis, it would have been much more comforting and reassuring to have received more information from the company. read more

I cannot begin to describe how terrible this place is. Not only are you experiencing a loss of a loved one but you have to fight with them to get anything done that you already paid for! This is called stealing! If I pay money to have a headstone installed aka the installation fee which is $600+ I expect it to be done in a reasonable amount of time. I had my grandmothers headstone shipped directly there and unfortunately a month after it arrived I had to go back to attend a funeral there. So I stopped by my grandparents grave to see the headstone and it's not there! Imagine my disappointment when I see that the headstone I paid for and the installation I paid for hasn't gone to use. I'm from out of town and won't be able to see it now. I went to the front office to ask about where it was. It was in the back shed area just sitting on the ground along with a bunch of other headstones. Luckily my cousin was going to stay in town and we were told they'd have it installed within the next few days. My cousin called the office back the following day and they never got back to her. So for all I know my money and my loved ones headstone is still sitting in the back and no one working there could care less. DO NOT BURY YOUR LOVED ONE HERE! read more
