Pressure relief valve on baseboard heat radiator dripping - need replacement. Service: Outstanding! Called at 8:15 a.m. today (11/16/23). No emergency response requested. Stated they could respond between 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. today. Advised me they would text me when on their way. Text received at 11:43 and they arrived at 12:25. Kyler greeted me pleasantly and after inspecting the job, provided a verbal quote: $395. (ouch). Job completed in 45 minutes, no problems. And he checked other pressure relief valves as well. Two years ago I would have given them a 4 star rating as we have used them regularly for plumbing and heating for a number of years and even recommended them to other neighbors. However, most recently we had an emergency call off hours as our furnace would not go on. They refused to come stating to us that we were not a customer of theirs. After numerous calls, they still claimed we were not a customer, even when we sent the owner of the company documentation that we were (including a recent sticker on our furnace). Then they stopped communicating with us all together. Luckily we were able to address our problem later that night (as it was below freezing). On a late Sunday night my furnace stopped working on a bathhouse at my business. I called Frey heating and plumbing first thing Monday morning. They sent someone out within two hours and had everything fixed less than an hour later. This is the second time I've used them with the same great service! Quick, easy and reliable. Outragious prices!! I called them for service to my furnace, an oil furnace, the gentlemen came to my home, cleaned my furnace, changed 2 parts a filter and a jet nozzle which is standard to replace these specific parts every year. The parts total no more than $25.00 . the Tec was here for LESS than 2 hours, they charged me $625.00!! That's Outragious!. Who out there charges $300.00 per hour? I can't think of any trade that makes $300.00 an hour per mechanic. Don't ever use this company, you've been warned! read more

I can not recommend Frey heating and plumbing. I needed a toilet bolt replaced and at the same time replace the sealing ring. This took about an hour and one half. I was charged $400.00. After I complained the high price I got a rash of....you know what from the owner for the nerve of me to complain. He explain he had over head and had to charge these prices or go out of business.Then I was offered $25.00 rebate. That rebate was never received. I emailed him to say I never received the rebate. I have not received a reply. He is not a man of his word and the company apparently has higher over head as explained so they charge more than others. However, they did come very promptly. So I guess they hang around waiting for suckers like me...Make sure your account is flush with cash. Book at your own risk! read more

Have been a customer for 9 years. Had a guy come out to look at my leaking furnace. He was here for literally 2 minutes, said he couldn't do anything except replace it for $8K and charged me $135 to tell me that and left. Thank God I got a 2nd opinion, who could not only fix it instead of replace it, but quoted me $1500 LESS than Frey if I did choose to replace it. He also took the time to explain what the problem was and tell me what to do in the meantime should it go and start to flood for the safety of my family. So, Frey either cheats their customers to get the big sale, is lazy and doesn't want to do the hard jobs, or is simply not skilled enough to fix things others can. read more

This place is a total ripoff! They charged $150 to simply walk through the door. Then, after determining that a simple faucet cartridge needed to be replaced, which he easily picked up at Loew's, charged another $225 ! DO NOT USE THEM. Extremely poor customer service. read more

Overpriced for the job that was done! Faucet was dripping - replaced a cartridge / clip. They charge $85.00 to come and tell what is the cost to fix it. If have it fixed - they drop the 85.00 charge and you pay way too much for the service (my opinion ). For maximum time of 20 minutes he was here - the charge was $289.00!!!!!!!! I can't believe I paid that amount!!! Won't do it again though...when there's an upfront charge to see the problem that's a warning to call someone else!! read more

I can't remember ever getting worse "service" anywhere in my life. I was told on the phone that there is $135. Charge just for coming out to the house, but would be applied to cost of service. The technician said that it wasnt a plumbing issue, but I needed the septic tank emptied..call after that's done. I told him I doubted that was the case, but he wouldn't look further. I called septic company who removed top of tank, looked and said the tanks only 1/2 full. At that point I had to pay him anyway for the call so he emptied it. The back up was still in the lines. I asked first guy to check down by the water softener, but he wouldn't. He said he's an expert and that woul not be cause of problem. I called Frey back to have him open the lines, after spending $400 to empty 1/2 full tank..$135. For his first visit and I'm still in exact same place I was to start. Again, $135 for him to return to the house. I have a very large long basement. There were two ways to get at this clog! He (Eric from Frey) said the only way was to remove toilet in closest bathroom, and get to it that way. Another $500. He did that and left. I checked with the bank and both checks had been cashed the day they got them! They said they guarantee the job for 30 days, which was terrible to begin with but I'd already given them so much money..I had to live with it. Less then a week later, on a Saturday, of course...the same issue happened again! Water rushing thru all the pipes in the basement! I called Frey, totally upset and at my wits end...Eric said he didn't care for my attitude and wouldn't come back!, I'd have to call his boss on Monday. Meanwhile, my basement is flooded and we can't use water or toilets. I have a disabled son that lives with me, and couldn't do that. I ended up calling Ace Plumbing, who came that day...checked the pipe I asked Eric to at the very beginning..guess what? That's exactly where the clog was. It was near the water softener..he snaked that part..10 minutes later the pipes were 100% clear! You could hear the lines opening and not a drip of water! Ace charged $125. For a Saturday! It's been a month now and not a problem. I did call the owner that Monday, and he basically double talked and kept saying that doesn't sound like "my Eric"! He then told me to take him to court...and hung up on me. The funniest thing was, that afternoon I got a letter from Frey telling me how much they value their customers and they strive for excellence..signed by the guy that just hung up on me! I'm a widow and I honestly believe they intentionally took advantage of me in this situation. Worst business in Sussex Vounty! read more
