The customer service here is outstanding. There was a mistake with one of my orders and they corrected it as quickly as possible. The delivery time is very quick. If you pick flowers up in the store they are very helpful. I had a great experience with Freytag's. I wanted to order some flowers for a friend in the hospital. I actually went into the store to order them in person, so that I could see the selection beyond what's pictured on the website. I told the cashier what I was looking for and the price range I wanted to spend. They were delivered on the date, and at the time I requested. And, they sent me an email to let me know they had been delivered. My friend sent pictures, and they turned out beautifully. The price was also in an acceptable range. I no longer live in Austin, but still have lots of family there. I first used Freytag's through a recommendation by the funeral home for my Mom's funeral. I also directed family and friends who wanted to send flowers to them as well. I was so impressed with the quality of the flowers we received. Her casket spray was breathtaking and I know my Mom would have loved it. Today, I used them again to send flowers to someone in the hospital. I put in the order around noon, and the flowers were delivered by 4:30 p.m. I got a picture of the flowers and they were exactly what I ordered. Commendable experience with Freytag's today! I called at 12:53 pm to ask about the possibility of a same day delivery and was told it could be there by 5. I asked which arrangement they thought would work best for my aunt who was in the hospital. They did not pick the most expensive, they picked the one that matched the criteria and didn't go "overboard". I received an immediate confirmation after hanging up and then received the confirmation of delivery at 4:50 pm. Great experience and awesome overall customer service. These guys knocked it out of the park today. I called at 1PM for a same-day delivery to my daughter and they delivered by 4. Carrie was great on the phone when I placed my order, the delivery man was great when he called to tell me he couldn't get in the apartment building when he first arrived, and my daughter tells me the flowers are fantastic. Had read reviews of the service and arrangements and thought i would try Freytags out. I was not disappointed. I had originally asked for something springy with lots of colors and a dozen long stems roses. I went in to pick them up. the 1st and 2nd arrangement was not what i envisioned but, the girl doing the arrangement finally came back with the 3rd arrangement. its was right on the money. exactly what i wanted. Must be under new management.I went in several days before pickup. Prepaid. Spent $190.00.Specifically, mentioned what I wanted and did not want, including the container.It was not complicated.They did say they could not do a "pave" with just roses, but they would use a very minimal amount of greenery.(Many other florists are able to do that style.)They wrote on the ticket and presumably the computer what we discussed.On pick up it was pretty much exactly NOT what I wanted or requested.Sure they offered to redo it, but why not do it correct the first time?$190.00? Really?I did not have the time to wait around. So, yes I was very disappointed and sad and remorseful that I did not take the time to go to the grocery store and do the simple arrangement myself.It is on my calendar for next year, though.I have used them in the past for simple arrangement like sticking flowers in a vase with a bow. No complaints there. Note: Freitag's called to apologize and offered several suggestions to assuage the mix up. They were very nice and generous and I thank them. read more

My sister from CA ordered me a stunning birthday bouquet of flowers which Freytag's thoughtfully left with my neighbor because of the heat. The arrangement was just gorgeous with an array of beautiful flowers. Unfortunately, one particular showy flower group in the arrangement wilted a short 3 days later so I called to let Freytag's know. Imagine my incredible surprise when they offered to deliver a replacement arrangement that very afternoon!! No fuss, no muss... just plain old fashioned customer service! My regular place to purchase flowers closed and the people retired. I had heard of Freytags and decided to try them. The first time, I ordered an orange and white spray and mentioned the deceased was a big UT fan so I wanted something along that line. I got a white spray with just 1-2 pale orange flowers. This last time, I ordered a spray that was supposed to be pinks and purples. I got the pink flowers but the purple ones were very light lavender that clashed with the pink. No way near purple. I don't know if the salesperson can't write detailed notes that are clear or the designer just decides what he/she wants in the arrangement. Anyway, I'm done. read more
