I have been visiting the Two Rivers area for almost ten years. What took me so long to find this place?! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away. Super friendly servers. The bar is decorated nice and is very clean. A comfy vibe. The outdoor patio on the river is so nice. We ordered some drinks and appetizers. It was all really good. My niece and her family traveling from out of town met us at Whisky D's. We chose Whisky D's specifically because they have a nice outside patio that is dog-friendly (and they were traveling with their 3-yr old retriever). Plenty of comfortable space with a view of the water. Only irritant were some pesky bees that kept trying to steal French fries. The food we ordered was delicious and was served super-fast. Lee behind the bar was friendly and seemed to do everything (tend bar, serve tables inside). We just ordered our cocktails and food items inside and then Lee brought our food out in record time. The burgers, fries, chicken tenders, and Nashville Chicken sandwich were all piping hot and DELICIOUS. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back again. read more

Another poster wrote about not judging this place by your first impression: it's quite plain from the front. However, food and service are very very good (compliments to Cody) and the outdoor patio is unique. I had: onion rings Crab salad Cole slaw The crab salad is actually a pasta salad with peas Una mayo based dressing. It was really good!! Great experience as first time visitors from out of town. We were able to enjoy a meal on their outside patio with our little dog. Great spicy Bloody Mary and craft beer on tap. Free popcorn for us and free dog treat for our pet. Lee was friendly and helpful. Food was tasty especially the homemade crab salad. read more

This has been a favorite place in Two Rivers for years now. Very cool bar on the banks of the West Twin River. There is outdoor seating with nice scenery. I usually go here alone. Have a couple of beers and some very well done onion rings. The bartender is a really nice guy. Makes you feel welcome. One of the few places where they still play bar dice. Good seating, either at the bar or well spaced tables. You aren't crowded. Friendly patrons abound. The menu has a lot of options to please most diners. Lately we have gone here for the Friday fish fry. While there are several options to what kind of fish you want, we usually pick the lake perch diner because it is so very good. I suspect they get their perch from Susie Q's. The perch dinner comes with rye bread, potatoes and some very unique and tasty cole slaw. With 2 PBR's apiece and our dinners our bill was just over $40. Bottom line, this is a pleasant, friendly Wisconsin tavern that serves really good food. If you can find it, check it out. You,too, could have a new favorite in Trivers. read more

We went back for the Friday fish fry. NEVER DISAPPOINTED. My wife loves the shrimp and cod plate with their homemade crab salad. This time, I got a bacon cheese burger with everything on. It was awesome. The burger was cooked perfectly and fresh fixings. I couldn't do better at home. Let me also mention the Bartender/Owner (Lee). What a nice guy. He always goes out of his way to make us feel welcomed, and he seems genuinely happy to see us. If you haven't been there in a while, stop in and tell Lee, Bill sent you. Whiskey D's has a lot going for it and also some counterbalancing negatives. The business itself is tucked away on a side street in Two rivers that is definitely off the beaten path. I went to this restaurant based purely on the Yelp reviews and when I asked my daughter-in-law who has lived in this area her whole life about this business she was not even aware of the business. The moniker hidden gem definitely applies here as they definitely have a loyal local clientele from what I saw where knowledge of this business is spread by word of mouth by the locals. This also demonstrates the power of Yelp as I would never have found this restaurant without Yelp. Getting back to the establishment , on the positive side their food that they specialize in, bar style seafood/burgers/sandwiches is quite good, with prices that are easy on your pocketbook with budget friendly daily specials. The wait staff and ownership, who hang out at the bar, are very friendly and outgoing. Relative to decor, Inside is your basic combo bar/restaurant scene, a little on the dark side (lighting) with a long bar along one wall and tables in the middle and far side of the building. the highlight for me though is the outdoor patio area along the East twin River banks that offer relaxing views of the river and wonderful evening sunsets. Not a bad way to enjoy a drink and meal on a nice summer nite. Unfortunately there are some negatives with this establishment that center on their Covid 19 safety protocols. The staff and majority of the customers do not wear masks or use gloves and wiping of surfaces with sanitizer following a meal was not observed either. I was able to get around my concerns by eating on their outdoor patio which gets plenty of ultra violet light and would return to this establishment again during nice weather during the virus pandemic as this gave me the security I was looking for. However this is a concern to be noted for those people who are religiously following safe protocols and could be a deal breaker for them. Overall I would rate this business four stars but have knocked 1 star off based on lax Covid safety protocols. read more

The staff is A+! My husband like Mexican, actually we both do. But their Taco's taste like the store bought taco seasonings which I have grown sick of. The fries are homemade fries, great , but not consistent. I'd prefer frozen for more consistent crispy exterior and soft interior. When they're fresh and good? They're great !! Set out on a motorcycle ride and was looking for some food and a view of some water. This place excelled at both! Food was excellent and it's right on the water with a beach and plenty of tables. We came on a Thursday at around noon and while there were folks here, it wasn't jam packed. I'd wager Friday-Sunday it's a different story! Service was fantastic and the food delicious. Every time we eat here the owners are amazing and so are the people working there. This is a particular post on BLTs. Everywhere I go and order I need to order an extra side of bacon. Not here! The bacon was thick and the sandwich perfect. Didn't need to order that extra slab. Highly recommend. Visit on land, or float your boat or kayak up to their docks. Always a great time. read more

Seems that most bars or restaurants are unmemorable as of late. Not anymore! Whiskey D's in Two Rivers is a little place on the river with a perch plate that makes your mouth say WOW. The perch are fair sized and a buttery, crunchy coating that is unsurpassed anywhere else! Their french fries are handmade delicious. The coleslaw is a sweet and sour with a little mix of delicious tidbits that pleasure different areas of your tongue. Finally a go to place for perch! Memorable. My two brothers, my dad and I rolled into Two Rivers at 10:00 on a Saturday evening having yet to eat dinner and tired from an evening of travel after a Cub/Cardinal game that afternoon. We needed some food quickly as we all wanted to get to bed as we had to rise early to head to Green Bay for the Packer game the next morning. Whisky D's has the perfect spot! It was close to the place we were staying and the venue is great. Ample indoor space and tons of outdoor space which was perfect on this evening. They had live entertainment which was good too. John(?) greeted us, took our drink and food order and delivered it to our table. We had three different types of burgers and a chicken sandwich...all were enjoyed by those who ordered. John stopped by again to check on us and our food and told us he was the owner! This Is definitely a hidden treasure. Right on the water, large outdoor seating area with games and a fireplace. You can pull right up to one of the three docks they have. Probably the best bloody/clam diggers around and the food is ridiculously good. Homemade everything. read more

This is a little tavern right on the water with outside seating. We had read that they have great fish dinners. It turns out only on Friday nights. We ate outside and had to bring order into bar, just a little odd. We ended up eating mostly appetizers. Really good fries.
