We have been here many times since they opened. Sometimes twice a week and it was great! Yesterday, however, was nothing to be happy about. We came in on a Sunday afternoon. I got the Frida's tacos and my husband got the chicken fajita. I got a Pacifico and hubby just had ginger ale. When the food came out, my tacos were hot and tasty. My husband received the sides that go with the fajitas and waited, and waited for the actual fajita! I felt bad eating my tacos while he only had sides. When the fajita finally came, the tortillas were so overcooked, they were crunchy, like a cracker and deep brown! Once our waiter put our food down, that was the last we saw of him. My beer was empty and stayed empty. It's difficult to eat without something to drink and, after about 15 minutes, I took my empty glass up to the bar and asked the bartender to please give me some water! He actually looked embarrassed and I could see he was looking around to see where our waiter went but he was nowhere in sight. It was not busy. There were only 3 or 4 tables with people at them. After so many positive experiences at Frida we did not expect this! One other thing is the music they were playing from the 80's was SO LOUD I couldn't hear myself think! We had to shout at each other to have a conversation! I had to shout at our waiter to order the food! I like to have music playing too but not so excessively LOUD that I struggle to have a conversation. This was ok,I guess, on a Friday or Saturday night but not on a Sunday afternoon! Anyway, by the time we tracked down our waiter (Salvatore), and showed him the crunchy, brown, tortillas, he offered to bring new ones but, by that time, my hubby's chicken fajita was cold....so we declined. Frida Mexican Bar & Grill opened in November 2025 in Epping, formerly Huntspoint BBQ. The place has a cozy feel offering a full service bar with seating, table seating with chairs & padded boothback seating. There are flatscreen TVs at the bar area. They also offer takeout and online ordering and DoorDash delivery. I stopped by Frida for dinner on a rainy hump night. The place was moderately busy here. I was greeted at the door and sat up at the bar. I was given an extensive food menu to look at. The bar was quite busy with plenty of margaritas coming out. The bar also offers draft beer, wine, and cocktails. A complementary basket of crunchy chips & mild salsa, hot mustard dip and a small plate of refritos & cotja cheese were brought out. The prices here are moderate. I was given a glass of cold water. I went with the Shrimp Fajitas ($21.99 plus tax) served with Mexican rice, refried beans & cheese, lettuce, diced tomato, shredded cheese, sour cream & guacamole and 4 hot flour tortillas. The food was serving to me in about 12 minutes after ordering. The hot skillet of 7 tiger shrimp, green peppers and onions was sizzling. The fajitas and the accompaniments were very filling and tasty. I also requested a to go box. I passed on dessert. The check with tax and before tip was $23.86 (cash)/$24.81 (card). Overall, I enjoyed a great meal at Frida with leftovers. Nonstop 1980s music was blaring over the speakers and a college basketball game showing on ESPN was on every TV. A few staff also stopped by to check on things and asked if this was my first time in. Frida happened to be on my way home from the Seacoast. My sister and I went for lunch on a Friday. The service and food were wonderful. We had the chorizo fundido, Mexican street tacos and Frida's quesadilla. While the fundido was a bit too meaty an thick for our liking, the steak in the tacos was very tender and the shrimp on the quesadilla was so flavorful! We'll definitely be back! read more

Tonight was my third time here. First two times, loved it. Food was on the pricey side for Mexican food, but portions were good and food was good. Tonight was very crowded. Server was polite but overwhelmed and as a result, very inattentive. That's all fine. What sucked is that our food came out cold. Not hot. Not warm. Cold. It came out fast, but given that it was cold, it's almost like it was premade, thrown briefly in a microwave, then sent out to us. Not acceptable. I'll give them another chance, but if tonight was a harbinger of things to come, this place won't be around long. read more

It was super crowded on a Monday at dinner time. The server was really nice and attentive. The queso dip was runny and not very flavorful. The chimis were just okay. I had to stop myself from looking at things too closely because I was super hungry and catching up with a friend and didn't want to have to leave. It isn't the cleanest place. The menu is full of spelling errors. Everything just seems thrown together. It's not the worst I've ever had, but I am pretty local, and I'll still be driving to Manchester for Nueva Vallarta. read more

The Alton location has amazing food but the female bartender that works there needs to learn to pay attention to the customers and less Talking on the phone... and maybe let everyone know when last call is instead of just handing out the tabs. We stopped in on a whim for lunch. Ordered queso and margaritas (skinny and jalapeño) and all was amazing. Queso was very clearly homemade. Family ordered the Frida Mexican burritos, kids taco, and steak Cancun and everything was done perfectly. Wonderful food and super cute place! Will be back for sure! read more

This was some of the best Mexican food I've ever had, and that's coming from a guy who grew up in Arizona and has eaten plenty of Mexican food. The menu was large and very diverse. The margaritas were spot on (get the Frida margarita with a splash of peach schnapps)! The service was great and our server Kayla was cheerful and friendly. My family and I love this place. Every time we go there it's as good if not better than the first time we went. The wait staff is very attentive. The food is very good and make sure you get one of their margaritas. The only downside is to make sure you dress warm when you go there in the winter. The entrance is not too far from the tables so it gets a little chilly when people come in, which is frequent. read more

We ate here when they first opened and liked it a lot. We came at lunch time. Tonight we came for dinner and it was wonderful!!! The chips and dips they provide when you first arrive are extra special! The Margarita's were some of the best we've had as was the guacamole appetizer. We really enjoyed our dinners.
