Food was decent--pretty average overall. But if you're a hot sauce lover, do not skip their habanero sauce. It seriously elevated every single bite. I wish they bottled it--would've taken some home! If you can handle the heat, definitely ask for it. Total game changer. read more

This was an amazing experience from the first step in the door with the cherry blossoms hanging to the giant mirror you can take photos in, to the delicious and large margaritas!! I suggest the blackberry margarita. For food definitely get the Chorizo Queso and after, order fajitas or anything else. All of their food is fresh and authentic. Drinks are strong and they also play new and trendy music. Services was A1 and fast. They suggested menu items and really went above and beyond. Vallarta has opened a third Mexican restaurant & bar in Manchester! Located in Downtown Manch in the former XO Bistro On Elm space, Vallarta Tequila Bar serves a good selection of Mexican food & dishes for lunch and dinner, along with a full bar menu with draft & bottled beer, wines, mocktails, cocktails, and margaritas & tequila with a price level system. They also operate Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta on Second Street and Vallarta at Rockingham Plaza in Salem. The place has a separate lounge & full service bar with TVs on the right side and a full service dining room with tables and booths and big TV on the left side. I stopped by here on a Tuesday night since they were offering Taco Tuesday specials, similar to their other locations Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta (Taco Monday). On Tuesdays, tacos (hard shell or soft shell) are $1.49 each plus tax with purchase of drink. Several years ago on Taco Tuesday at Puerto Vallarta, tacos were only $0.99 each and no required drink purchase. There's another very popular Mexican restaurant not too far in Haverhill MA & Amesbury MA which offers $0.75 hard shell beef or chicken tacos with drink purchase in 2024. I was seated in the main dining room in a booth. Complementary chips & salsa were brought out first. I inquired about the Taco Tuesday special, but the server (probably new) had to go find the manager to check. It took about 5 more minutes before the server and manager arrived back to take my order for 6 soft shell tacos, 3 shredded beef & 3 shredded chicken with lettuce & cheese on grilled flour tortillas. I also got the required drink purchase, a Diet Coke ($3.50 plus tax). My food arrived in about 10 minutes after ordering. The tacos were decent, similar to what I've had at the other Vallarta locations. The tortillas were a bit dry. The server checked back once, but when I was done, it took a while to get my check, which was $13.50 (cash)/$13.87 (card) with tax and before tip. After waiting a bit for the server to return to take the check and payment, I decided to leave exact change with a tip and bounce. I would probably be reluctant to come back to this Vallarta outpost for Mexican food or tacos and go to Puerto Vallarta instead, which seems to be very busy, but I usually get a seat and the service there is usually prompt even in busy times. read more

We happened to be in Manchester for a side trip. Mexican food is a favorite, so we saw this place and gave it a try. Wonderful midafternoon dining experience. Because we were there at an odd hour between lunch and dinner, the place was not very busy. The service held up, even during the lull period, and we never wanted for much of anything while we were there. Some of us ordered the $1.49 taco special of the day. These are the best $1.49 tacos we have ever had! Ground beef, shredded beef, and shredded chicken are the choices. Hard and soft shell options. The shredded beef and chicken fillings were delicious and generous. We had three other dished at the table, including street tacos and a burrito. The other stand out item was the Chile Relleno! One of the best I have ever had. Not a crispy version, rather a soft cooked version. The pepper was a perfect size and the cheese perfectly melty. The sauce is fantastic! A great value and experience for this menu item. If I find myself in Manchester, this will be at the top of my dining choices list. read more

I have been to this restaurant twice now and each time has been a good experience. The first time we had a large party, and they were quick to take our drink orders and get the food in. I had gotten the red snapper which was priced very well and tasted amazing. The vibes were super fun and good music and lights. The second time I went to this restaurant was more casual and with just another friend... the front host was a little standoffish, but I understand that it may have been an off day for them. Overall, my experience here has been very good and definitely will return. read more

New favorite local Mexican restaurant! Got food to go and this place hit the spot. Only been here four months, so decided to give this new place a go. Was thoroughly surprised. Right off the bat, the customer service on the phone was very friendly and the guy seemed to be super pumped! Really made us excited after placing the order. Drove over in 15 minutes and parked right out front. Walked in and the place was very inviting. Looked like a lot of people at the bar on a Thursday night too!
