A cute and quiet restaurant with friendly staff. It was our first time here and it won't be our last! The place was clean and not crowded at all. There was a good amount of people but the place isn't small, so it felt like there was good spacing between customers. The food was amazing. Very flavorful and tasty. We got street tacos and they reminded us of the street tacos we get back home. They were very good and the sauces were spicy! Then we got the quesabrilla and those were so good! Loved dipping them in the sauce they came with which gave the tacos just more flavor.

    The sauces are AWESOME

We have been several times but this time we brought friends from Ohio. The had never had Charro beans! I know right insane. The food is always delicious the employees are very nice & know the menu. Bathrooms are clean. The restaurant is festive inside and is very nice. I'm glad we were able to share this restaurant with friends. See you next time

I ordered the QuesoBarria tacos and a side of Pastor street taco. Pastor is a technique the Mexican acquired from Libyans who migrated to Mexico and brought the gyro vertical broiler. Birria is a popular Mexican dish that originated in the Jalisco state in Mexico. I wanted to compare the two. Both tasted really good and each have their distinct flavor. I noticed they also offer pupusas which I will try the next time. There two other things that stood out from the menu... 1. Mole Enchiladas (I am curious about the mole sauce) and 2. Molcajete. Finally, a Mexican restaurant in town that serves Horchata. It's a refreshing drink made from rice and cinnamon. They also offer a taste of Honduras (see menu), and they serve breakfast/brunch fare. They also offer lunch menu Monday - Friday. If you are tired of Americanized Mexican food like Taco Bell, 850, or El Paso Mexican Grill, then come to Frida's Cantina for some authentic Mexican and Honduras food. Also with all the Mexican restaurants in Pensacola, in my opinion there are only two that are special. Frida's just became one of the two. The other is down Navy Blvd called La Barra Del Taco. Staff were friendly. Dining room is clean and lots of space. Parking is limited because the motel next door is under renovations due to hurricane damage. There is no entrance on Chief's Way (for now). You can only turn into the parking lot on New Warrington heading towards NAS.

Great pupusas! Love the cortido and pickled onions on the side. Very much enjoyed the chips and salsa that we were greeted with. Didn't care much for the Frida's enchiladas with steak on top. Steak was a bit tough and not much of it. The sauce was overpowering with chili powder. It was just ok. Good margaritas and 2 for 1 all day making them appropriately priced. $15 for a giant one. So $7.50 each. Good service. We went twice while visiting.

Steel Pony Diner was formerly located at Gather location on Navy Blvd. The dining room is anywhere inside or outside patio of Dorothy's. Interior is "Wizard of Oz" theme. Ironically, there use to be a gay club in Pensacola called "Emerald City". The Steel Pony area at the side of the bar where you can order from Kyree. Order here and then find a place to seat inside or outside and Kyree will deliver your food. It is unclear whether to order drink with Kyree or go to the bar. This time around I went to the bar to get a coke, water, and a vodka soda. Since this location is new, I am confident they will figure it out whether or not Steel Pony Diner can order drinks at the bar where the experience can feel a bit more full service where I can order my food and drinks with one person with Kyree or order at the bar with the bar tender. FYI. Dorothy's is a non for profit bar to help fund raise for OASIS (a HIV prevention service and also serves people with HIV/AIDS). This visit, I had their signature Prego Sandwich served with a side of au ju and your choice of side garnished with Mable's Sweet Garlic Dill Pickles (I will cover later). For $2 extra I added grilled mushrooms. This sandwich is delicious!!! It is so good, it could be part of the Pensacola tourist DNA, meaning, if u visited Pensacola and had the Prego sandwich you will think about this sandwich when u think of visiting Pensacola. If u are visiting Pensacola, and not bothered with the LGBTQ community make Steel Pony Diner @ Dorothy's your next destination especially Memorial Day Weekend. With that said, let's talk about Mable's Sweet Garlic Dill Pickles made by Todd Morris of Family Orchard Farm. These pickles are like a savory candy... delish!!! I am not really into pickles, but these here are so good! I wonder if they make a relish version. If not, Todd, helurrrrrr?!?!?! You can get a jar for $12 at Steel Pony Diner. Ask Kyree or Eric to purchase.

We ordered the whipped feta, oysters, ceviche, scallops, bison kebab, and lobster roll -- every single dish was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. The whipped feta was creamy and addictive, the seafood was incredibly fresh, and the bison kebab and lobster roll were standout favorites. Reserving a table was super easy, and the drinks were fantastic -- creative, well-balanced, and perfectly complemented the meal. The vibe is great, and the service was excellent. If you're looking for elevated, flavorful food in Pensacola, Pearl & Horn is a must. We'll definitely be returning soon! Highly recommend.

Although this is definitely a preferable location given its adjacency to downtown Pensacola. The drinks were outstanding. Everyone raved about the scallops. I will definitely be re-ordering the crab avocado salad. It was off the charts. The mushrooms and brussels sprouts were amazing. and the Australian ribeye was delicious. My husband felt it was the best steak he's had. I had some fatty pieces so i wasn't as enthused but the good pieces I had were absolutely delicious melt in your mouth. Obviously, we had a dessert for my birthday and that was a sweet treat! peanut butter chocolate dessert. Maybe a torte? I thoroughly enjoyed it and just overall had a great evening here. The booth was so comfortable and the restaurant is appointed to a degree you don't frequently find in this part of the country. It was very tastefully done. We'll for sure be back and look forward to trying the pearl side next time!

Not surprising though considering the lackluster lazy service on top of the horrible garbage food. Just because you get vegan food doesn't mean you want to eat flavorless, overly salty or oily food that tastes like ash. If you prefer to use words like rancid, inedible, unsalvageable, carbonized or say tastes like ash, it's beyond redemption/saving, tastes or has a charcoal bitter aftertaste, rubbery and charred, extremely oily or extremely salty for "good food" and like lacksadaisical customer service then you should go here.
