3 Tacos

The environment was so nice & fun. We stopped here on our drive back to Orlando. The service was fast and amazing. The food was to die for. I love authentic Mexican food. The tacos we stuffedddd full and def worth the price. I would visit again.

Decided since weather was questionable we went to Fridas since the first time we went we really enjoyed. Wrong decision for us. Started with our server Rina R. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and queso dip. Our queso came out quickly but not the drinks, when she did bring out our drinks she poured my husband's fine then mine she spilled all over the table then laughed and left our table, didn't wipe up the mess she made or replace what she spilled. Luckily I had a paper towel in my bag and I cleaned the table. After half hour went by she came out to take our order, my husband ordered carne asada "Rare" with corn tortillas, I ordered 2 chicken Tinga Mexican street tacos. While waiting for our dinner my husband was scooping a tortilla in the queso as I spotted a long black hair in the queso, needless to say we did eat anymore queso. Our food came out my husband had no corn tortillas as he had ordered, she laughed again at him and said I'll get them. His steak was well done not rare! My taco I took a bite out of and I felt a Hair!!! Really??? I have never had this happen to me before and tonight twice! I was so disgusted and couldn't eat my food!! Rina our server just thinks it so funny and laughed again!! Margaritas are good they get the 2*. Our server gets a -1! So disappointing and disgusting!!

OH MY LORD, We had the best time here. I'm not into Mexican cuisine but the dishes we ordered were Amazing. Our server RINA was a delight, experienced & helpful with my order. No matter how many times I go to a Mexican restaurant, I cannot figure out what the dishes are, UGGH I have an app from "allevents" & they put Frida's an an event. The event was a MARIACHI BAND This intrigued me so, I made a reservation (YES, reservations are back) YAYYY! at least in Florida they are. I booked late so we were the last ones to book GOOD THING! The place was PACKED. (This restaurant is always full with a "waiting list") Frida's is a large restaurant with booths, tables, bar & my favorite area on the veranda which is hard to get in. I don't know if & when the offer this was 10% off appetizers. The prices were also inexpensive, $10-$20 (Of course a little higher for seafood specials BUT, they were no higher than $25) Now, back to the *MARIACHI BAND* It was AWESOME!!! They went table to table. They even asked if you wanted to request a song. SORRY, my pictures & we started to eat before I remembered to take pictures they do NOT do the place justice (my husband's head was in the way) but, hopefully you can enjoy the the pictures ALSO, the gentleman singing had an AMAZING voice. They were even funny asking questions. If & when you go or they have this "EVENT" again, DO NOT pass it up. We TIPPED the band (of course our server also)

Chicken Fajitas Burrito

The food was delicious. I order the street corn and chicken fajita burrito. Fresh and large portions. The guacamole was fresh but had a tad too much lime juice. Good service and atmosphere.

Food was lacking we noticed the ground beef had the texture of canned meat and the sauce was definitely sloppy joe with some lime juice while edible and not bad ....it wasn't good authentic eats. Service was fantastic I was great full for our friendly and attentive waitress who made sure she kept our drinks full and passed by the table twice to make sure we were all set. The style of the restaurant is nice I just wish the food lived up to expectations (you can do better at home )

Cute place, love the modern Mexican vibe. The food was beautifully presented and that is about where the positives end. The fajitas were very greasy and did not have much flavor at all. The oil made the peppers and onions soggy. The rice was very dry and kind of crunchy, guacamole was dark and also not much flavor. The taco cones my friend ordered were also greasy but it was the hair baked into the shell that was the real low! Drinks were not refilled and overall service was lacking. We were all disappointed. Redeeming factor: frozen popsicle case on your way out! Could be a great place, need to work in food prep.

Stopped in for launch. Not busy. Nice patio for the doggie to join us. Great margaritas. Service was excellent and so was the food. Best Mexican food I've had in a long time.

Berry mango salad with chicken

Thought this would be a typical Tex mex place, but it was so much more! Yes they have tacos, churns o and burritos, but they also have a fun Caribbean twists. I enjoyed the berry mango salad with chicken that was absolutely perfect. We also ordered the table side guac service which had such a sweet cilantro and lime flavor. Very well made. Cant wait to return!

Chalupa with Fried Avocado - Get a taco instead

Who knew there was just excellent Mexican in Daytona (Ormond)? Ok, I did as I love Mexican and have been to a number of different places, each good in their own way. This one is solid as the menu has a vast assortment of goodies. It appears to be simply, but there's a lot of diversity. I decided to try the Camarones Borachos (Drunken Shrimp which was my nickname in High School) and it was a spicy dish with a nice amount of shrimp, a brown sauce full of flavor and a boatload of rice. I also tried a chalupa with fried avocado which was a complete disaster (overcooked, hard, and dry) so be warned. They have some beautiful murals on the walls and it's a good size inside despite looking small on the outside. Other diner's had other items and everyone enjoyed their meals. Look closely at the menu as you can mix and match and choose different proteins (chicken, steak, veggies, etc.) and different vessels (taco, chalupa, burrito, etc.) to create a seemingly endless amount of combinations. It's far away from the speedway, but close to the northern beaches on Rt 40 (not far from the bridge). It's a good choice if you want to avoid the crowds, especially at 3p in the afternoon, which is when many end up leaving the beaches and crowd the other areas.

First tim e dining at Frida's today and I was definitely impressed. We came during non-peak hours so it was quiet with only a few tables occupied. My first impression was that it was really beautifully decorated with colorful murals and furniture. It was bright, clean and inviting. We were seated quickly and began to check out the menu. What an awesome variety of options. I liked that they offer the standard fare like enchiladas, burritos, and fajitas; while also throwing in some interesting options like grilled cactus and two different styles of tamales. Tortas and zinchronizados, pozoles and more! Their cocktail menu is definitely something I will be back for since I wasn't in a drinking mood today. I was really hungry and since they offered the tamales and Chile rellenos as more "a la carte" I just decided to get one of each. And rice and beans. And maduros. YOLO, right? LOL I figured they'd put at least the tamales on one plate or maybe they'd all fit on one large plate. But no, they each came on separate dishes and I couldn't help but laugh when my meal spanned half the table making me look like a a crazy woman because they were all quite large. At least I have lots of leftovers :) I thought the food itself was pretty good. The Oaxacan tamale was a clear victor in the battle of the tamales as the Mexican style one with chicken was more typical, run of the mill while the Oaxacan style with pork was larger, moister and soooo full of pork. Yum, yum, yum! My son ordered a chicken sandwich, but being a kid with pretty boring taste he ordered it plain without all the good toppings. They accidentally sent it out with additional toppings which they quickly fixed, but I'm betting it would have been really good with the sauce I saw on it and the rest of what normally comes on it. We visit family in the area occasionally so this will definitely be on my list for next time. We love Mexican food and this place really stood out with their menu. The service was excellent as well.

We were about 30 people, and everything flowed smoothly from start to finish. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place has real history. This is not a themed restaurant. The decor is authentic, with original 1930s pieces throughout. The Tiffany chandelier immediately stands out, and the bar itself has a story. We were told it came from Cicero and dates back to the Prohibition era when Al Capone ran things. You can actually feel that history in the room, which made the night feel unique and memorable. We started our evening on the Havana Bar patio, which was such a great way to gather everyone before dinner. Chic, relaxed, and energetic without being overwhelming. Our bartender Kristen was awesome and It ended up being the perfect place to both start and end the night. The handcrafted cocktails were excellent. Perfectly balanced and clearly made with care. They do classic cocktails beautifully, but the creative options really stood out. The Sharon-tini and the Double Stop were favorites at our table and paired surprisingly well with the menu. They also have the best espresso martinis! Dinner exceeded expectations, especially for a group this size. I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly. The tableside garlic butter presentation was a highlight. Melted with a flame right at the table and absolutely delicious. It added a level of experience you do not usually get with group dining. The chocolate crème brûlée was delicious! The live music was the best we have heard in the area. It elevated the entire evening without overpowering conversation, which is rare and appreciated during a corporate dinner. We were genuinely happy to find a restaurant that can handle large corporate groups while still delivering elevated food, service, ambiance, and entertainment. 31 Supper Club feels like a true destination. We will absolutely be back.

Please see below our rating for each item: Roasted goat cheese dip 8/10 (I would recommend to skip the olives) Beacon wrap shrimp; 10/10 best food item it the night Lobster mac and cheese: 2/10 Too expensive, no lobster bits, lobster on tail had no meat, not enough cheese, nothing to crunch. Recommended to rethink dish. Expresso Martini: 8/10 recommended using patron coffee xo and more vanilla vodka. Glass slipper: 10/10 best drink of the night. Salmon 5/10: too expensive. Too small for the price, did not come with sides, a bit over cooked glassing was good Double stop 7.5/10 good but the glass slipper stole the show Steak tip Alfredo 8.5/10 best main dish of the night. Recommend adding some fresh parmesan Chocolate cream brule 9/10 almost perfect it needs thicker or more strawberries Over all it was a good experience and my wife and I will consider going back as again.

My hubby had been working outside all day and asked if we could wait for an inside table. The host personally went and cleared/reset a table for us. My husband tried to tip him and he would not accept it. Our server was Cassandra and she was amazing. After dinner and dessert we asked for some recommendations amd she had some great ones. We had the lamb, a filet and a ny strip. All were cooked perfectly. The standout for me was the fried chicken. You can add a breast or thigh to any meal. I had a thigh and it was one of the best I have had. Crispy, tasty and the chicken itself was tender and juicy. When I come back I am definitely ordering the chicken! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. There is free valet parking, which is helpful since there is not a lot of parking. The valet were hustling! Did I mention the heat? Don't forget to tip them. The faster they move the higher the tip in my opinion.

Everyone just seems so happy here so you can tell that it really enjoy their jobs which makes a huge difference. We started off with the coconut shrimp and had like this coconut mayo dipping sauce was different, but it was really good, but I felt like it needed like a sweet-and-sour sauce then I had the mahi tacos with just the rice no black beans definitely still as good as the last time I tried it my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken pizza gluten-free and he ate the entire thing so that just tells you right off the bat that it was good and to finish off our dinners we ended with Keylime pie. It wasn't the best it was OK. I don't think I would have it again, though the ambience, excellent this place is adorable. It's like a diamond in the rough. No one really knows it's here but anytime ever and someone says they're going to Daytona. I always recommend this place. Go here! You will never be disappointed trust me!

Having been to the grind over the years, we have certain expectations as to the quality of food and…read moreservice. I want to preface this by saying we went on a very cold day and ate indoors..the pizza was outstanding and the waiter was friendly and engaging..in other words, typical for our experiences there. Prior to this, we even brought friends who hadn't been there before and loved it...now, to our recent experience: We were seated and the waitress seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu and had to check on our requests, each check took a disturbingly long time. When we brought our friends, my gal ordered a hamburger and I asked the waitress if she could have the wagyu, rather than the angus burger, she readily said yes and my gal marveled over the burger...fast forward to the last experience, the waitress said she'd have to order the wagyu as posted and it "wasn't available" as a stand alone order. So my gal settled for the angus burger and again, the wait was a bit long and as we were considering to leave, the waitress showed up, gave us our food and left. the onion rings were cold...literally...they had been out so long that they weren't even warm (our prior experiences the onion rings arrived hot and delicious). Again we waited for our waitress to return and my gal had to ask another waitress if she could get us some hot onion rings. That waitress noted the cold onion rings and brought them back to the kitchen to prove we weren't being unreasonable, which was a greatly appreciated gesture on her part. Very promptly, the "other" waitress brought our onion rings, apologizing profusely...we thanked her and when my gal started into her Caesar salad, it was inedible....soggy, nearly tasteless and resembling a hot spinach salad with soggy lettuce than a crisp Caesar salad....the upside, the second batch of onion rings were up to their usual excellent standard, the burger was good, but not the intensity of flavor their wagyu burger had. If we hadn't been semi-regulars, it is a near certainty we wouldn't go back, but we aren't going to let a single experience unravel years of good experiences.
