My hubby had been working outside all day and asked if we could wait for an inside table. The host personally went and cleared/reset a table for us. My husband tried to tip him and he would not accept it. Our server was Cassandra and she was amazing. After dinner and dessert we asked for some recommendations amd she had some great ones. We had the lamb, a filet and a ny strip. All were cooked perfectly. The standout for me was the fried chicken. You can add a breast or thigh to any meal. I had a thigh and it was one of the best I have had. Crispy, tasty and the chicken itself was tender and juicy. When I come back I am definitely ordering the chicken! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. There is free valet parking, which is helpful since there is not a lot of parking. The valet were hustling! Did I mention the heat? Don't forget to tip them. The faster they move the higher the tip in my opinion.

Bonus points for the colours and addition to mint for flavor. Note on food: biscuits are lovely, chicken fried cauliflower is inspired. Hands down the star of the show was the shrimp dish, perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and honestly some of the best we've had in a while. We ended up ordering a second round just to enjoy it a little longer. Service was friendly and attentive the whole time, which made the experience even better. If you're looking for a great happy hour with a standout menu item, The Whyskey delivers. We'll definitely be back!

Monica was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately, our interaction with Mary was the complete opposite. She was rude and unaccommodating, which made our visit unpleasant. After ordering a few drinks, we decided to patronize another business. As a group of returning customers, we were also disappointed that no effort was made to accommodate us. We've supported this restaurant year after year, and we expected a more welcoming experience, especially as loyal guests. We hope management recognizes the difference that customer service can make and addresses these concerns so future guests--and returning customers like us--have a better experience.

The male server was attentive and competent but my craft beer was poured as a low abv sour and not my Swamphead IPA hazy request, which was switched out quickly. Aside from the tasty eats, the beautiful 1920's themed bar is notably a mixologists dream. Maybe add a true Speak Easy to the place which would be a cool addition. The food was good across the board. The burgers stood out as the highlight juicy, flavorful, and cooked well. The fries and appetizers were also solid, and portions were generous enough to leave satisfied. The drink menu is extensive too, with a strong cocktail selection that fits the whole Prohibition theme. Service was friendly and generally on point, even though it was busy. The staff kept things moving and checked in without being intrusive.

Love visiting this location!…read more I've always made sure to make a stop here when I'm visiting St. Augustine. This last visit was no different! Inside is spacious, clean and what's really interesting is that they have informative areas that showcase the distillation process and other fun facts about the distillery! I enjoy coming for their tasting that they offer. While it use to be free of charge local businesses in the area that also had tastings started charging so that makes sense especially with the amount of visitors they get! Luckily it's only $5 dollars and you get a chance to enjoy a variety of their products. There are employees are different stations that give you information on the spirits and mixers they offer while they craft drinks for you to try. Such as a mule with their vodka, a sweet tasting drink with their crafted rum, another with gin and the final stopping point is an old fashioned! If you end up loving any of the drinks, you're able to purchase a bottle there in their gift shop. They also offer to hold any of your purchases for a later pickup time if you don't want to be holding onto your purchase if you're busy visiting and exploring the city. They also provide different paid experiences involving their whiskey. I have yet to try them out but maybe one day I'll make sure to!

We stopped in unexpectedly, signed in without any trouble, and were done in under a half hour. It helped that it wasn't crowded at all and our group of 5 were the only ones on the tasting tour at the time. You get to taste 4 different cocktails made with their various products. The first two were decent, with the second being a step up from the first. The third was our favorite by far, a tiki rum cocktail that actually had a really nice flavor to it. The fourth and final one was a straight vodka pour from an older woman at the last station. She told us that good vodka shouldn't taste like nail polish, which is a bold thing to say right before handing someone a sample that tasted pretty much exactly like acetone. A couple of us couldn't even finish it. The staff overall were super friendly though, and it was genuinely cool getting to go behind the scenes and see all the big machinery in the distillery. Now the gift shop at the end is a different story. Everything was overpriced, and their clearance section was almost insulting, with maybe $2 knocked off the regular prices. We won't be buying any of their products, but for $5 the tasting itself was a fun little experience worth checking out if you're in the area.

The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

When I arrived with my pregnant wife and my service dog, he asked somewhat curtly if it was a service dog. After I confirmed and thanked him, he rudely placed the menu on the table, turned around without saying another word or showing any basic courtesy, and just walked away with his back to us. It was a pretty cold and uncomfortable welcome. That said, the restaurant is absolutely charming. I really loved the interior ambiance--it's cozy, well-decorated, and has a very pleasant vibe. The food was extremely delicious. We ordered the Half Pound Ice Plant Burger and it was juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. You could taste the quality in every single bite--the meat was perfect, the ingredients fresh, and everything very well balanced. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had recently. Despite the initial host experience, I would return without hesitation for the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommended, but they could improve the initial greeting.
