What an experience from the moment we arrived. The restaurant decor is a feast for your eyes! We did not have reservations and they only had a table outside on a 90 degree day. My hubby had been working outside all day and asked if we could wait for an inside table. The host personally went and cleared/reset a table for us. My husband tried to tip him and he would not accept it. Our server was Cassandra and she was amazing. After dinner and dessert we asked for some recommendations amd she had some great ones. We had the lamb, a filet and a ny strip. All were cooked perfectly. The standout for me was the fried chicken. You can add a breast or thigh to any meal. I had a thigh and it was one of the best I have had. Crispy, tasty and the chicken itself was tender and juicy. When I come back I am definitely ordering the chicken! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. There is free valet parking, which is helpful since there is not a lot of parking. The valet were hustling! Did I mention the heat? Based on the great reviews, hubs and I went to Rose Villa for our 30th anniversary dinner. Love the old house the restaurant is in and the history behind it! The wine selection was ok. We started with the deviled egg appetizer which was great - the best part of the meal! Our server was very pleasant and answered questions we had about the menu. Hubs had the Rose Villa burger (no bun) and was not impressed - the brioche bun may be needed to pull it altogether. I had the shrimp and grits and taste was great at first but it was overly oily in my opinion - I could only eat about half. read more

I love the victorian decor of this place. It was built in the 1800s and you definitely feel a part of that era as you roam around the r hallways and rooms. I enjoyed their southern breakfast greatly ! I ordered the Brabant potato hash n eggs with biscuit and morhay sauce, peppers, onions and tomato relish. I enjoyed a nice hot cup of coffee and which it came in a kettle to serve myself. they are known for their chicken and waffle plate so I will definitely come back for another brunch. Took us too long to try this place. My new favorite restaurant in the Daytona/Ormond Beach area. Arrive just before 3 to learn their restaurant closes from 3-4pm, so my wife and I saddled up to the bar for some cocktails before an early dinner. Molly is my new favorite bartender holding down the fort in a deliciously cute bar area. The rest of the dining areas (and upstairs speakeasy) is a delight on the eyes as well. Though this isn't just my new favorite restaurant around because of Molly and the decor, but rather the food (of which we ordered far more items than we should) was delectable. The Rose Villa Southern Table and Bar was not just the best place I visited on a recent stay in the Port Orange/Daytona area, it's one of the best places I've eaten period and all I did was lunch. We stopped in without reservations but they found space for us outside on the front porch. It was right after Christmas and I have rarely seen a restaurant do it better. Cotton in the trees and bushes to simulate snow, classic Holiday decor everywhere you looked. Every detail was amazing! Inside was like stepping into 19th century home that was elegant and regal. The only thing better than the atmosphere was the food. Our Pork Belly Bruschetta was elegantly presented and just melted in your mouth. Salty, sweet, robust, just incredible and a great recommendation from our waiter. My wife and I split the Shrimp Po Boy along with a Chicken sandwich and there were both just next level compared to anytime we've had these before. If you're in the area, if you're within an hour, if you want to do a day trip, build it around the Rose Villa Southern Table and Bar. I decided to take my colleagues here for an appreciation dinner of sorts. The service was stellar! Knowledgeable, friendly, gracious staff made my dining experience very memorable. I ordered a crab cake and it was tasty, although I might have preferred mine cooked more. I also ordered shrimp and grits. Again, it was tasty, but I wished the grits weren't drowning in the gravy. My husband and I decided to finally try Rosa Villa for Christmas Eve. I made reservations several weeks ago, we arrived early but our table was ready for us which was on the front porch (I reserved outdoor dining). The restaurant was beautifully decorated and we were greeted by our server. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet as we checked out the menu. We heard how good their southern fried chicken was so of course we had to try. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles and my husband ordered the southern fried chicken which came with collard greens, mashed potatoes and gravy and he also ordered a side of Mac and cheese. The venue is beautiful as a well kept/restored Victorian home. Our large party was welcomed warmly and our waiter Wellington was quite charming. The cocktails were fun and delicious. The Deviled Eggs were as good as I had heard with the pepper relish an added flavor. The fried chicken portion was huge and those in our party that ordered that entrée were pleased. The Bouillabaisse was served warm and would have been much better if hot. It was ok and I would not order again if I returned. Unfortunately, while I do enjoy a slower pace between entrees, our wait between appetizer and main was excessively long. The house is decorated nicely all over including the outside porch front and back. I have been going to Rose Villa for a number of years and have had reservations for a Tuesday night dinner in the bar down stairs. When I got there on Tuesday my usually reserved table was taken. I then noticed that there were no seats available at the bar standing only no stools. When it came time for my reservation the two remaining tables were full and I didn't have a table set aside for me. The bartender was new a Goth like person dressed in black and had two different colored hair red and black she looked to be around 24 years old. She was not very personable and as a bartender she should have been more personable and attentive. I had one glass of wine that I didn't finish and left with my friend as there were no stools available. We had two amazing meals on our recent vacation to the Daytona area and Rosa Villa was one of them. We visited on a weekday after the holidays for lunch and were surprised to only have tables available outside without a reservation. They were expecting a large party inside but we still had fantastic service. We sat on the beautifully decorated front porch and the weather was perfect. I started with a holiday special cocktail, it was very strong with most of the cinnamon flavor settled at the bottom. It was a good old fashioned but the holiday flavors with a bit overwhelmed. After that, every bite we had was fantastic. We ordered the belly and biscuits appetizer, do not miss this one! Cooked perfectly and combined with wonderful flavors of the tree fruit chutney along with the fluffy biscuits. Our main choices, the shrimp po'boy and the Charleston chicken were also delicious. I've had excellent experiences before with dinner, but lunch was disappointing. It was oddly quiet with no music. It was 50 minutes before any food came out, the fries were cold, and instead of honey butter with the waffles, we were accidentally given mayonnaise. Service was polite but tentative, I overhead that they were not understaffed, it was just "always like this." Heather the events host was inflexible. There was plenty of seating available inside. One heater outside ran out of propane. Heaters were also waist high, at best it warmed your back. Half the group was wearing their sweaters and jackets. Food portions were small unless you got fried chicken. Cocktails were good but wasn't boozy.
