I was pleasantly surprised when my date took me to this restaurant. It was my first time there and the inside decor is very welcoming, tropical theme. The host was welcoming and I was looking forward to my meal. We ordered the pork rice bowl and it was very flavorful and overall a good experience I look forward to going back to try more. Very popular with locals

If there was an island to be stranded on, this would be the one. Let's start with, and end with, our server Brianna C. Brianna was too notch all the way. Informative, friendly and the consummate professional. Chips and salsa came out quickly after we sat down. Great food, great atmosphere, great location. Huge draft brews for $9? Yes, pleasecand let's make it a Dos XX's , shall we? Plenty of parking and only a block off the beach . As locals we've had this restaurant on our "try list" for far too long. We're already looking forward to going back. And, oh yeah, we'll be asking for Brianna! And that Quesaburger? Omg, how could we possibly pass on that again?!?!?!?

    Shrimp Bowl! So yum!

Needed a delicious lunch to please 7 picky adults! After searching the area, we decided on tacos! But nobody actually ordered tacos! The vast menu had so many delicious options that each of us happily pivoted. My husband and I were pleased with the taco bowl, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Super fresh and full of flavor. We also got aorroz con pollo which was perfect! The cheese sauce was to die for and there was chicken galore. Our server was present but didn't hover. Pricing was okay, but to be expected a block from the beach. Plenty of parking. If you're looking for a great meal that can please your party, look no further!

Lunch here was a very pleasant experience! It's nicely decorated and has a lovely beachy vibe to it! The waiter did a nice job with being attentive and was pretty personable. The guacamole was freaking DELICIOUS and I wish I could have the recipe for myself hahaha! Our food came out very fast and hot too! My family loved all of the food they got, and I definitely felt the same way. I got the chicken fajitas with extra rice instead of beans. I also asked for no cheese or sour cream (due to dietary restrictions), which they nailed! It makes me very happy when I'm able to get what I had ordered, on the first try! All of the food I ate was delicious, and I was very excited to eat my leftovers to enjoy this meal again. My only complaint, which is very small, is that the drinking glasses were a bit distressed. A few of ours had cracks in them (not leaking water) and looked a little funky. It's a small thing, but I would've preferred glass cups.

The ambiance was a high end Mexican restaurant. We were seated fairly quickly and then chips and salsa were delivered promptly. Drink orders were obtained quickly. The menus were on an IPad and they were easy to access. I ordered a San Diego burrito but switched to ground beef. It was quite possibly the best burrito I have ever had. My hubby had a shredded beef chimichanga and he said it was a bit dry. Overall, great food and experience!

What a beautiful place. Both food and service were great. I really liked their salsa and the chicken rice bowl was very good.

The restaurant is very clean and pretty inside. It had a tropical feel. Our server did an amazing job. We were well taken care of. The best thing I can say is that the food was delicious! We had arroz con Cameron's. Fajita BurrIto. Mahi tacos. Chicken burrito bowl. And chicken and spinach enchiladas. Everyone really enjoyed their choices. Look below at the beautiful food pictures. We totally recommend this restaurant.

I am a local. I liked my dish of shrimp tullum enchiladas but I didn't like that they diced up the shrimp. The shrimp was way overcooked. Please leave them whole. Their tortillas are not made fresh in house. I asked. You have to ask for the hot salsa and the green one. Gets crowded because it is near the timeshares and tourist area. No military discount. Another person at my table had the surf and turf burrito and said the steak was very tough.

This restaurant always has that Tommy Bahama-esque vibe finally found its rhythm. This is the kind of place where you think, "I'm on vacation... I'll have a fancy margarita." This time, though, I gave up alcohol for Lent. Thankfully, bartender Derek came to the rescue and crafted a delicious spicy mojito mocktail that didn't feel like a compromise at all. One sip in, and I was right back in vacation mode. The staff here is consistently friendly, and the chips and salsa arrive almost instantly after you sit down (which is always a great start). We grabbed seats at the bar during happy hour (4-6 p.m.) and ordered the happy hour guacamole, drinks, and an early dinner. We chose the Molcajete -- easily large enough to feed a small party --, and it arrived flaming and fully loaded with a variety of meats and cactus. The presentation alone was worth it. We also ordered the fajita nachos, piled high with generous pieces of steak and shrimp--nothing skimpy here--just a full-on feast perfect for sharing at the bar. We left with leftovers, full stomachs, and very happy bellies.

I have passed by this place at least a dozen times when in the area and never thought to try it out because the exterior is bland. On this trip, I decided to look up the reviews and they were outstanding. So, I gave it a shot. I don't know if I have ever seen a place with such a difference between the exterior and interior. The inside is gorgeous! Perfect decor and energy + the perfect decibel and choice of music. The service was very good. A lot of texting on phone by person helping me but that didn't slow her down. And she got the order right. I'd rather have someone texting and get the order right than not texting and get the order wrong. Prices here are very high for Mexican food but these are large portions and high-quality food. I got the Steak/Chicken combo and it was amazing. Highly recommended! Do Not base your decision off the exterior. You will be pleasantly surprised when you go inside. Very clean Caribbean-type feel to it. Even though it's Mexican.

Better photo of Molcajete. This is all meat. BTW, there was a skewer with 5 shrimp that I took out before this was taken.

The service was great - another server adopted our table after a 15 minute wait. She apologized that her coworker was not ready to start our table yet (translation, I think: late to work). She gave us the happy hour price even though we missed the end of it while we were waiting. The food was good, not great. I got the signature molacajete which was $35 for a huge burning cauldron of shrimp, chicken, pork and beef, and chorizo! It was served on a flaming plate. It was pretty good, sort of like fajitas where you take your meat and desired toppings and put them in your tortilla. Hy husband got the steak which was nice and tender and cooked medium. It had a nice marinade. But he hated the veggies and onions, said they must have been cooking all day on the flat top in old oil. My son got carnitas, which he loves. My DIL got a shrimp dish that was not wrapped in a tortilla (see photo). The kids got soft tacos ($8). All in all everyone had generous portions and liked what they got. The rice and beans were not great - many times at a Mex place, I'll abandon my entree and eat rice and beans. Not that day. I did not even take them home. Nobody did. We liked our proteins though and the sides were ok. The chips and salsa were delivered the moment we sat down and the salsa is pretty mild. I'll bet you could ask for pico de gallo or a spicier salsa. (Free) The decor is the real standout. It's almost like a Mexican Rainforest Cafe. I like the place, and I'd return for happy hour at the bar. For a sit down meal, this place wasn't overly expensive. But there are other places I'd rather go. Good solid meal for a fair price but maybe not worth a special trip.

This is how close we were to the hostess station

This place is simply the best!!!…read more I do not give five-star reviews easily, but everything came together so well at Ocean Deck that they earned every one of them. I don't even know where to start except with FUN!! You have choices depending on your mood. Want to cool off and enjoy dinner in the A/C? You can. Want more of a party? Head downstairs for karaoke or live music, where dancing customers are completely normal and part of the fun. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, attentive, and funny. Our food came out so fast that I was honestly a little nervous--but NOPE. Perfecto! I didn't get a picture of the blackened mahi-mahi sandwich, but it was SO good. The salmon was cooked perfectly without being overdone. The fries are to die for, and those tacos? If I lived nearby, they would easily be a once-a-week meal for me. The drinks were wonderful, too. The Moscato was fresh, bubbly, and ice cold--exactly how it should be. We enjoyed this place so much that we went back three times during our short stay. The food, drinks, atmosphere, service, and just plain fun of the place all came together. That's what earns five stars from me.

Others placed their order and had to pay above what the ticket covered. Once we were all seated, servers came around to ask us our dinner choice. I had the steak and my husband had the Seabass. We started with a large wedge salad. Delicious. One of our friends insisted we order the bacon outside of the included dinner, so we did. It was amazing. The sides were served family style- asparagus, potato galette. Everything was so good. By the time my steak arrived, I was so full from the family style appetizers and the salad. I had one bite of my steak and I packed it up to go. I even packed up my cheesecake. I put that in the freezer when I got home. I ate it about a month later and it was fantastic. Perfect New York style cheesecake. We stayed late at the bar and had a couple cocktails. It's a really nice place. Food is heat and service is too. We valeted the car. Bathrooms are part of the hotel. Spacious and clean. I would recommend this place for a fancy date night. We can't wait to go back.

Several employees were comfortably hanging out in a booth, laughing and having what looked like the employee reunion of the year, while customers were left to figure things out on their own. After realizing we had become invisible, we made our way to the bar and waited about eight minutes for the bartender. We ordered a Pinot Grigio and a Bacardi and Diet Coke--a request we assumed wouldn't require a treasure map. The bartender then informed us, in so many words, that he wasn't sure what white rum was. He wandered off in search of this mysterious mythical spirit... and was never seen again. I'm assuming he's still out there somewhere, bravely searching the seven seas for Bacardi. After another four minutes of waiting, we decided to make our own great escape. We left thirsty, amused, and wondering if we had accidentally wandered into an improv comedy show instead of a restaurant. One star for the free entertainment. Zero stars for the service.
