    Quesabirria Lunch Plate

The birria tacos (called quesabirria here) where very good. I got them made home style instead of crunchy. The aqua frescas were also very good. Jordan our waitress was so nice and helpful explaining the menu and making sure we enjoyed everything during our meal. The salsa was smokey and spicy. I definitely want to come back to try other items!

Came for lunch and we had the chicken green enchiladas & the shrimp tacos with Mexican rice. The enchiladas came with rice and refried beans. The beans were basic but everything else was delicious . We also ordered a ranch water and Frida's Berry Limonade, which is the best drink I've had in a while. It's made with raspberry syrup, Jim Beam Honey, fresh lime juice and sparkling water. It's definitely worth it. The only issue I had was the service was pretty meh. I hade to wave down the service for more water and a take out container. He also didn't seem to understand me when ordering. The ambiance was good we came a little early and it was quiet but it got busier during our visit. The decor is nice and if you are a fan of sugar skulls then this is the place for you! I will definitely return for the food and drinks. I plan to check out Happy Hour Monday - Friday from 2pm-7pm.

I was looking for a good birria tacos, and someone recommended this spot. Let's just say I was not too impressed after eating it. It looked great and smelled great but the flavor was not there for me. The atmosphere is nice and very relaxing, probably good for a chill date. Just be aware, this is a patio seating, so there will be flies and bees flying around. I was lucky enough to get a bee to land right in my drink :x As for the food, I tried the quesabirrias but the meat did not have much flavor to it and the consomè was very salty. I also ordered the al pastor tacos, it was a unique seasoning they used for the meat but I was not a fan. The elotes was probably one of the worst elotes I have had. Not sure what went wrong, because I saw some great reviews. Maybe it was an off day for the chef

The food is good. One of the famous spots to try Brirria tacos! You do get full of the amount they get because they serve chips if you dine in. I personally don't think the price point is amazing for what your getting I paid 10 dollars just for taquitos. It's a good experience. If your down to try. It's a small location too. If you live near the area you get free delivery!

I had been wanting to try these for quite some time. I just say I was underwhelmed. I'm not sure if it's because I got there as soon as they opened but everything seemed to be missing flavor and the tortillas were extremely soft.. almost soggy. The meat was good but the consome was bland. I must have been an off day because I was told by others that the broth was so good they would drink it. I will give them another try just not anytime soo

Took 15 min to get attended for a table, we were looking around and we saw three waitress girls laughing and talking to people in one table. There was a couple before us so he called somebody to help. Chips were warm but looks like we just got the crumbs from the bag. Ordered Chipotle shrimp tacos, the tortillas taste like they were microwaved, and the flautas needed more sour cream they were also super hard, beans had no flavor. Rice was the only thing good. Mhhh won't be coming here again.

Frida's is such a vibe. From the entrance to the small accents and greenery wall- it's the cutest spot. The salsa that comes with the dip was good and had a Smokey flavor. My Chipotle Shrimp Tacos were delicious. They were sweet and spicy- my favorite combination. The tortillas were a bit thick for my liking, however. They're handmade corn tortillas but the tortilla overpowers the taco. My husband had the barria tacos and said the same. He eventually just opened the tacos and ate them without the tortillas. He rated them very just OKAY. The mango margarita was tasty but the michelada missed the mark. Overall, the location is convenient. The service was great. The food was good but nothing spectacular. If we return, it's definitely for the ambiance.

Not good , the service was very slow and our waiter could not understand English language , finally someone came to the table to communicate but by then it was to late I had ordered and just sort of nibbled on it and left

The staff was very friendly. Happy hour mango margaritas were 2 for $10. I ordered chicken enchiladas and ate all of it. The rice is bland and lacking flavor. My husband ordered the three different kinds of tacos he said they were all good (btw - he ate my rice) This place has a cool vibe and I would definitely give it another try.

A must go for tacos, this new location hit the spot. Quesabirria just melted in your mouth and consome was hot and flavorful. Shrimp tacos, al pastor, and the fried batter fish tacos were all good too. Overall, food was of flavor and quality. They also have breakfast and Mexican vegetarian options. There's mango margaritas, beer, and aguas frescas, but no liquor.

So I found this little slice of heaven while taking my Mom shopping. It was past 5' o'clock and we could use a cocktail. A small nosh was in order as well. This was over in a corner near JC Penny's in Cedar Hill shopping area. There wasn't a lot of cars but it was still early. Then we went in and it seemed like a ghost town. We asked to sit in an area where people are seated. If you don't see folks or smell good cooking; RUN! Come to find out this space is massively BIG. Folks were tucked in all corners of the restaurant. We sat in a section with sofas to sit back, mingle and talk. The menu was ample but we didn't want to have a meal. Dad made dinner and we had to have space for later Mom ordered a margarita and I had my usual Michelada . We ordered a appetizer platter with 4 items. The presentation alone was impressive. We both pulled out our cameras . It was delicious..So fresh and tasty. Surprising enough my favorite was the bacon wrapped jalapeños. I don't like hot things but I sipped water and made my way. It was creamy and crispy. I could have had a whole meal. The other item that was a crowd favorite was the Pupusa. The bread was so soft and warm. The topping piled high and BAM! We were fat full! If you're over in Cedar Hill and you're tired of chain restaurants. Please go try it. You can eat, drink, catch a game. Then, enjoy the ambience and instagramable atmosphere.

Such a fun interior and the shrimp tacos were delicious. Our server recommended them. They were the handmade tortilla shrimp tacos - so good! Also the chicken flautas are good, how can you go wrong with some flautas... mmmm

Frida's is a delightful place to hang out (though lordy you wouldn't want to be there during a storm - the place looks like it'll blow away!). I had the quesabirria, which while not as spectacular as others make it out to be, is still a delicious dish. You'll want to park on the street as the rear parking lot is super difficult to navigate. Friendly service, albeit a bit slow. Really, the reason to go there is to chill, not to rush.

There's a huge yard out back with plenty of picnic tables, which makes it perfect for hanging out when the weather's nice. Inside, the space is small, comfy, and neat. It feels well put together without trying too hard. There's even a fireplace that adds a nice touch--no idea if it's actually working, but it fits the vibe. The staff here really stands out. Super friendly, very polite, and they keep things simple--you order at the corner, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Easy and efficient. I went with the brisket taco, and it delivers. This isn't a tiny street taco--it's loaded. You get brisket, salsa negra, avocado crema, and pickled onions. The balance works really well. The salsa brings some acidity to cut through the fat, while the crema smooths everything out. Every bite comes together nicely. As for the brisket itself, the seasoning is solid but not overly aggressive. Personally, I'd like a bit more bark--it was a little thin for my taste. That said, the smoke ring is very prominent, and you can taste that deeper smoke flavor. Texture-wise, it was very tender--easily cut with a plastic fork. I did catch it later in the afternoon, and the lean slices were just a bit on the dry side for me. Overall, the vibe here is awesome and the tacos are legit. This is a spot I'll definitely be coming back to--looking forward to giving the brisket another shot, plus trying the pork ribs and some sides.
