We love Taqueria Ocampo! We found them a few years ago by accident. My husband's family is from Ocampo so he wanted to stop and try them out. Every once in a while when we have time we'll come in on a Sunday for breakfast. Everyone is always very nice. Ambience is very cute hole in the wall but kismall but clean and kept. So if there's a wait for a table you might be standing for a few minutes. Or you can do like we do and just order to go and eat in your car. The food is always good! Very good home cooked food. Highly recommend. I googled to find breakfast tacos when we first moved to Midlothian and this was the first place to pop up and I am so glad that it did. Its breakfast tacos are amazing and are ONLy $1.50 which I think is a steal. We have literally came over and over again getting these breakfast tacos since moving here. The service is awesome, the guy at the front (he is always there when I go) is so kind and he even remembered me after the first time we went. The parking in small which is probably the only downside but it still works. I think it's more of a take it to go type of place which I love how quick they are! If you haven't tried give it a try. It doesn't take long to understand why this place is the highest rated Mexican spot in Midlothian. It is no frills, unpretentious in every way, and a delicious destination all around. It's not only the best Mexican joint, but certainly among the the best options in the entire city. It's a small place so indoor dining is super limited to a tiny table and a chair. It was the perfect spot for takeout during the pandemic and they have a good mix of items available for purchase immediately and hot food on the go. Service is always kind and place is super clean. There are a few parking spaces out front. The food is great. I'll never get tired of their all day breakfast, especially when the tacos are only $1 and burritos are $3. The regular tacos are under $2 each and the barbacoa, lengua, chicharon are fantastic. I never leave here without getting a bunch of tamales and a quesadilla. Their lunch plates ($8) are also wonderful. While I may not find myself in these parts often anymore, Taqueria Ocampo is a wonderful reason for me to come back. It's authentic Mexican food! Everything is great and fairly priced. They have tamales and menudo on Saturdays. You get choice of green (mild) or red sauce. Choice of flour or corn tortillas. They have a diverse choice of plates as well! Excellent Service and FOOD! read more

I hold my 5 stars near and dear to my heart so to get one you have to check off a few boxes. They had wonderful food and just as good customer service. The tacos were amazing, the burrito was even better because of the size and how delicious it was. The inside was small but it was cozy so I loved even with the limited seating. Drove here on my day off just for barbacoa and eggs. I get there and they don't have it. I got pastor, barbacoa and chorizo tacos all flower instead. The tacos were pretty cheap and were ready in about 6 minutes. I thought there barbacoa tasted really good and would have liked it with eggs. The pastor and chorizo were pretty good too. I tried some of my friends rice and beans and liked it. This is actually a very good taco place and possibly the best in this area. I'd go again even though I didn't like the service. read more

It's off 67 a couple blocks and just the atmosphere is free air and vibrant green trees. The spot looks busy upon arrival which is a good sign. Inside the authentic Mexican products foreshadows the good food to come. Menu was clear along with prices. The staff was welcoming and took my order with no hesitation. It's a hole in the wall, but it was clean and most importantly the food was delicious. My husband tried the chorizo plate and it's the best he's had yet.
